Did some searches but couldn't find and answer. How does a "sight draft" work? I'm presuming it's pick 1 burn 1 but couldn't see a definite card it was linking to like glimpse.
From post #2 right under the OP, under Draft Processes:
GLIMPSE DRAFT
Glimpse Drafting is a booster draft format that allows for smaller groups of players to simulate the draft process of large-table drafts. It is ideal for 2-4 player events, and allows a larger percentage of the cube pool to get used, so that fewer cards get left behind and each archetype has a chance to get it's support cards seen.
• Each player gets 9 packs of 15 random cube cards each.
• Open the first cube pack.
• Pick 1 card from the pack to add to your pool.
• Then "Burn" 2 cards from the pack (remove them from the draft pool completely).
• Pass the pack to the next drafter at the table.
• Repeat the process until you've picked 5 cards and "burned" 10 cards from the pack.
• Complete the same process for each pack in the draft, alternating the direction each pack is passed.
• Each player should have a pool of 45 cards to build from, just like a traditional booster draft.
SIGHT DRAFT
Sight Drafting is a booster draft format that allows for medium-sized groups of players to simulate the draft process of large-table drafts. It is ideal for 5-6 player events, and allows a larger percentage of the cube pool to get used, so that fewer cards get left behind and each archetype has a chance to get it's support cards seen.
• Each player gets 5 packs of 18 random cube cards each.
• Open the first cube pack.
• Pick 1 card from the pack to add to your pool.
• Then "Burn" 1 card from the pack (remove them from the draft pool completely).
• Pass the pack to the next drafter at the table.
• Repeat the process until you've picked 9 cards and "burned" 9 cards from the pack.
• Complete the same process for each pack in the draft, alternating the direction the pack is passed.
• Each player should have a pool of 45 cards to build from, just like a traditional booster draft.
Event Structures (at 540 cards):
2-player: Glimpse Draft (50% of the cube pool)
3-player: Glimpse Draft (75% of the cube pool)
4-player: Glimpse Draft (100% of the cube pool)
5-player: Sight Draft (83% of the cube pool)
6-player: Sight Draft (100% of the cube pool)
7-player: Booster Draft (58% of the cube pool)
8-player: Booster Draft (67% of the cube pool)
Thanks for the clarification, I searched your thread and the forum a few ways and never turned up anything helpful, didn't think to look at your thread info spoilers, not seen that specific one before (obviously).
Hi wtwlf123,
Long time fan of your cube and articles. I wanted to see how the Gearhulks have been performing in your cube. I've been reluctant to add them, but wanted to see what your results have been.
Any plans to put the Sword of Dungeons and Dragons into the cube or conspiracy/UN card module? I think it's hilarious and yet pretty solid even though there aren't that many rogues and clerics in the cube.

I don't really know if I should post this question here, but wtwlf, how have you manage the recent Photobucket problem? I can see that most of your stuff are still there while mines look like this thing just above...

I don't 3rd party host. I upload all the images to PB from my own computer.
That's not the issue.
Photobucket has been switching over to a paid service. If you want to display your images elsewhere on the internet (which they call "linking") you need a premium account, which is attached to a monthly fee. I'm not sure why wtwlf's images are still showing - either your paying for it or they just haven't rolled out the restriction to every account yet.
It is in fact what Photobucket calls 3rd party hosting. I do the same (uploading from my computer) and they shut me down hard. Now Photobucket is trying to rob people for about 400$ a year in order to give them acces to 3rd party hosting. Strange that a simple pro account get around it... They don't even propose it to people. Take a look at this link and click on upgrade now to proceed to checkout : http://www.photobucket.com/p500/
Paying 400 US$ for this is completely insane. They are out of mind.
However, sorry for disturbing your cube thread about with this concern.

Why not just use a free service like imgur or something? There might be reasons I don't know of like long term viability and what not, but it's a pretty easy and free service to use, it's like the main image hosting site for reddit.
One of the main issues is the lack of need. White and Green are both filled with great 3cc creatures, so supplementing that slot with a gold card doesn't make a ton of sense, unless it's completely insane or super flexible (like Kitchen Finks).
Well, you lose an O-Ring but gain an exile effect with upside, so it's not a huge swap, effect-wise.
Besides, there are plenty of O-Ring variants in white that you could add if you found that 5 mana makes Fractured Identity play tons differently.

So I guess D-Sphere is leaving then? If so, do you think losing an O-ring effect affect the rest of the cube in any way?
I don't think it will, no. Maybe Pack Rat gets a little bit better, but it's insanely corner-case. You're talking about one multicolor card change; the impact will be minimal unless it's a key archetype card. Losing a card like Tezz 2.0 would change things. Losing one O-Ring variant won't be nearly as impactful.

Thanks,
They've outperformed my expectations for them by quite a bit. I think they're pretty safe acquisitions.
