When you guys do run a 4-man Glimpse draft, would you still play the person you drafted against or would you switch partners after the draft?
??? Glimpse isn't a 1v1 format. It's just a draft method. Each player would pick 1, burn 2, and pass to the left. All 4 players are involved in the same draft, and see the same packs.

That's so obvious, I didn't even see it. Sometimes I worry about me.
Glimpse Drafting will accomplish much of the same thing as increasing your pack size. It's all about seeing a higher percentage of the cube list. And with a 4-man Glimpse of a 540 card cube, you see every card. Aggro and archetype play should be ideal.
I'm slightly concerned that by not adding any 1-drops, you're weakening aggro in 2 and 3 man Glimpse Drafts (and normal 8-mans), as well as making it more possible to hate aggro out of 4-man glimpses via aggressively burning one-drops.

I'm curious about playing the Mirage fetchlands in Azorius and Dimir. I currently play the Temples in those two combinations, and my players seem to like them.
Do the extra fetches give the 3 color control decks more consistent fixing that otherwise they'd go without in your list? I play all the trilands at 540 unpowered, so I think I'm covered on that front, but I'm curious to hear your thoughts about the Temples.
Hey there, huge fan of the cube, I am currently working on recreating it as a starting template. With the recent update to 540 do you intent to keep the cube this size or are you going to continue increasing it. I was skeptical at first but after looking at your updates I like 540 better than 450 already.

All the Glimpse formats have more than enough 2-power 1-drops. The only format that was really stretching for them were the old 4-man formats. New 5-mans will be close to the wire, but those drafts are pretty rare for us. White is set. Red and Black still need 1 more per color. Green needs 2-3 more. But after that, I'll be able to make replacements instead of additions. In other words, the demand is exactly as it was at 450.
And hating 1-drops is the least of my concern when I'm Glimpsing. You don't have the opportunity to purge Carnophages with the glut of other stuff that actually requires hating.

I think the temples are fine choices, but Fetches grab duals, thin the deck, interact with Loam/Crucible/landfall/etc and shuffle your library. And they're WAY better for 3+ color decks. These have been covered ad nauseum previously in this thread and in other threads.

The rise to 540 was a specific solution for fixing 4-man drafts. It won't be increasing again.
The percentage of the seen cube will go down by 13.4%, so the demand will be slightly tougher for some of the archetypes and stuff, but those decks are easy to build in 8-mans, so I don't expect it to damage the drafts much at all. 5-color control decks will be easier to draft though, so I'll have to keep an eye on the Vivid lands as I explore this size...
Apologies if this is off topic but how do you color code your cards on cubetutor? I can't seem to figure it out.
If I may...
First you need to create a tag. Go to List, Edit List, and write something on the "Tag" space of a card. For example, "testing" on a card you just added. Press enter. The card is tagged!
Second, to change the tag's color, go to My Account, and on "Tag Colours" select one of the tags you created, select a color for it, and click on the Set button. Done.
No love for the Soltari brothers in this update? I'm seeing these guys get cut more and more often lately. They're starting to feel less like the staples that they once were and more like relics that fall into pet card status.
Why Terminus over Rout? I've thought about adding in another Wrath effect myself at this size and I had planned on going with Rout.
And btw, you've got Simic Growth Chamber labeled as Izzet on CubeTutor.

I like the Soltari brothers, but I just don't think they do enough to justify their WW costs in this day and age.
Mainly it's because of the ceiling. Playing Terminus on 1 mana is just really good. I like Rout quite a bit though, and if one of the two 5cc white spells I added in doesn't perform, I can cut it for Rout, and potentially free up Terminus as a card that can be removed. I went back and fourth on that very decision for quite a while. Plus, more miracles for Personal Tutor.
Additional support for the token deck, combined with a need for 5cc noncreature spells in white. She's mostly relegated to midrange decks, which is why she got cut last time, but she's pretty beastly in any token-centric archetype (of which there are several).
Wouldn't some of the filter lands be better than a few of the lands you included? Like Fetid Heath over Isolated Chapel? I think my cube group wants to see Sagu Mauler over another Planeswalker, plus he has morph. Thoughts?
Yes. It can be really powerful with cards like Future Sight, Meloku, Draw-7 effects, and the like. But it has incredible variance. Sometimes it's great, and other times it's completely useless. I feel like I would want the full compliment of cards that "combo" with it before I'd consider bringing it back in.
Curious how much you end up liking 4 man glimpse drafts @ 540.
I'd be interested on hearing your evaluation in a months time or so..
I've never glimpse drafted before, but it sounds interesting.
I was debating on making a 300ish size cube for 2v2s but this might be a better alternative.
Do you think it's feasible to build narrow archetype type decks with glimpse?
Comparable to a 6 man? 8 man?

a 2 person Glimpse uses the same % as a 6-man draft, and a 3-player Glimpse is the equivalent of a 9. Aggro decks and archetype decks are much easier to draft in Glimpse than most other formats.
Ah, I have got to get used to people thinking of those as multicolor cards. I think of them as I would Flinthoof Boar and the like. Monocolor cards that improve with access to another color or colors.
I also think of them as I would Flinthoof Boar. Complete garbage unless they're being used as multicolor cards.

Mauler's a fine choice. I don't like it more than Kiora, but it's a solid card.

Agreed. I would never play Flinthoof Boar or Tasigur in a deck that did not have access to their second (or third in Tasigur's case) color.
