Hey wtwlf, can you give some feedback on Liliana, the Last Hope? I run 360 and I honestly don't think she's good enough. But then you run 350 and keep her when you cut down to 405. I'm curious why her?
I think she's really good. Her +1 provides good board control (including the ability to kill off small creatures), the -2 ability can be used to get back critical creatures and/or feed the 'yard, and she has an attainable, game-winning ultimate. I don't know if she's truly uncuttable, but I've never considered her anything other than an easy inclusion.
Yes, it's a value creature. And I think it's the best white 5cc creature in the cube, and by a pretty wide margin. There are so many ways to abuse 'Lark, and it has synergy with a ton of cards and creatures. It can be the centerpiece of an entire deck.
Usually some 2- or 3-color combination of W/U/B/R ETB trigger abuse decks. Blink/Bounce effects + Recruiter(s), Nightmare, Vat, Feldon, 'Lark, Alesha + several ETB trigger creatures that are waiting to be abused.
Wow! In both drafts you picked both Wildfire and Burning of Xingye. Also Sarkhan, Chandra Flamecaller, Chandra Torch of Defiance, Inferno Titan and Greater Gargadon. These cards seems to be your shell, with some artifact mana or land rampers in green.
Even though it can't itself get freebooted, I have been preferring the kite-flying pirate to the insane-praying vampire. The evasion allows it to chip in for bits of damage in spots where the 3/1 body just can't attack, and the Duress-esque disruption has proven to be quite disruptive.
I’ve had similar experiences. With Humans getting so much camera time at the PT I saw a lot of Freebooters and that’s when I decided to try him out, as it seemed fairly effective. It also reinforces my impression that evasive black 2-drops are very critical for the black aggro archetype that lacks reach from burn.
Hey, someone's probably already told you this, but there's something weird going on with the card image for animate dead in your cubetutor list. It looks like a cropping issue. Not sure how hard it is to change as I don't use custom images for cubetutor, but since you went to the trouble to use custom images thought you'd want to know.

The image is correct. It's a miscut Animate Dead.
There are several in the cube if you want to browse through the visual spoiler.

Lol, nice. Pretty cool to have such a severe miscut that still has all the rules text legible =D
Can you talk a little bit about Squee, Goblin Nabob in a 2018 (year, not cube size!) powered setting? I imagine you have a good amount of experience with the card and could thus help newer players evaluate it properly.
This is a sweet value card that needs a certain saturation of discard effects in a deck to be worth it. What is the baseline number of such effects in a deck for Squee to shine in your experience?
Has the population of cards containing discard effects not been able to keep up with the power level of cards from newer sets, thus thinning out the saturation and making Squee less viable? Of course I'm not talking about powerhouse effects like Survival or Vryn's Prodigy, but more like Cryptologist, Mongrel/Noose, Masticore, Firestorm, etc...
I usually try to find at least 3 ways to abuse Squee in a given deck in order to have him make the cut. I still love Squee, despite him getting squeezed out of my 405 due to size restrictions.
How are the Vivid lands working out? I was thinking of adding another fixing cycle and they stand out as the most likely ones. Does it hurt aggro to have a fixing cycle that it doesn't want?
Nope, it doesn't hurt aggro. And the Vivid lands are quite good. The debate has always been about whether or not they're necessary, not whether or not they're good. If you feel a need for more fixing, it's a nice way to get more into the list by only dedicating 5 slots instead of 10.
