I was too busy to get a cube draft in this previous weekend, but I did spend some time looking at the RTR spoilers. Once the set is fully spoiled, I'll put up some of my possible additions as well as possible cuts. There are a few goodies for Peasant Cubes, that I'm sure the other Peasant cube holders have seen!!!
We were able to get a 6-man cube tonight! There were only 2 rounds because the pair down lost. Bunch of beer and magic, it was a good night. Here is the list that won:
As much as I love the keyrunes Izzet is the only one that actually made the cut for me. Selesnya charm is rewlly good but it still seems shy of breaking into cubes cause Selesnya is stacked.

i might give the keyrunes a try... i've enjoyed playing with Thunder Totem and Weatherseed Totem, so the Keyrunes might be okay. I'll test them when the set comes out and see how they play.
Ravnica changes were just made and put in the change log. After a nice, relaxing hiatus, due to busy schedules, we are back in action tonight with a 6-man. Results will be posted either tonight or this weekend!

I write about cube and run cube drafts on magic online.
We ended up getting a 6-man draft in on Friday night after a long break! I ended up drafting a nice, little R/B aggressive brew. I won round 1 and lost round 2 in game 3. (I kept a bad hand!). I rocked round 3, going an overall 2-1. I ended up playing the deck that won in a bonus round afterwards and rocked him 2-0!
But anyways, enough about how I think I'm good! Here's the list that won (and that I beat 2-0 afterwards in a bonu... *stopped myself*):
As for the Return to Ravnica additions, they were awesome! I was able to get Rakdos Keyrune and Gore-House Chainwalker in my deck. They really performed nicely. Unleash is a pretty powerful mechanic in draft I think. I really enjoyed the Keyrune and so did the drafters. Each one in the draft, I think 3 of them made it, were maindecked and performed well. I'm definitely going to be cutting the signets for the rest when they come out! They may not be as mana efficient as the signets, but they are definitely more fun. That's what cube is about!
I was able to get an 8 man draft together after my local card shop's FNM! I drafted a G/R deck, going 3-0 to win the draft! I first picked Flametongue Kavu and went from there! Here's the list:
It was a great night of magic and there were some fun decks that were built. In my round 2, I played against a U/B Reanimator Deck. (Yes, I am super happy that this happened). I won game 1, and in game 2, my opponent was able to go Turn 2 Merfolk Looter, unanswered by me. Then he was able to Turn 4 Diabolic Servitude on his Artisan of Kozilek. Although it rocked me, I was happy that he was able to make it happen. I ended up winning game 3, but I like to see that Reanimator can still make things happen! Round 3 I played against a deck with Mother of Runes, Invisible Stalker, and Loxodon Warhammer, but was able to finish him in 3 games with my quick starts. He was definitely favored going into the finals, but I was able to beat him with a sweet aggressive start and some last point burn spells.
I was able to get an 8 man draft together after my local card shop's FNM! I drafted a G/R deck, going 3-0 to win the draft! I first picked Flametongue Kavu and went from there! Here's the list:
That was the first time I drafted Flinthoof Boar since I added him in, but having a 3/3 for 1G was awesome pressure! I was able to haste him a few times as well. He's a great aggressive creature that I will always love to have in any R/G brew. I mean, the card pretty much says 1GR for a 3/3 haste, that's playable in my book!
So I've decided to add 5 more cards to the non-basic land section! To be honest, I'm not sure how I missed them. Going old school with the Mirage fetches: Bad River, Rocky Tar Pit, Mountain Valley, Flood Plain, Grasslands. I think these will add some more nice mana fixing and snag the occasional Landfall triggers!... Yeah I'm looking at you two, Plated Geopede and Steppe Lynx.
Hey everyone! I was able to get an 8-man cube on Friday. I went U/G and had a pretty sweet brew. I lost round 2 and ended up going 2-1 overall. The finals was pretty sweet, a battle between a R/B aggressive deck and a G/W Aggro blink deck. I was rooting for the blink deck, but the Rakdos deck got there in a tight game 3 win. Here's the list that won:
Up until now, my cube has been drafted 10 times. After each draft, I collect the two decks that made the finals, and I record them. I figured it would help me get a good idea on the most successful archetypes and cards in the cube. I was even able to put the results onto Deckstats.net (very useful site if you'd like to do the same).
After reviewing the results, here are some conclusions I've come to:
1) Red has appeared in 9 out of the 10 decks that have won.
3) Out of the 10 cube drafts, G/R or G/R/x have won 5 and B/R have won 3.
There is no question that Red has proven to be the best support color in the cube. With excellent burn spells to punish creature decks and provide late game reach, red has solidified itself as the primary support color for most of the winning decks. I don't necessarily feel that this is a bad thing, but after seeing that 4 of the top 5 most played cards out of the winning decks have been red, I think some reworking needs to be done.
Based on the results, red and black work very well together. I mean, we all knew this, but in my cube, it seems that black/red is a really tough combination to beat. Especially if you are an aggro deck (I'm looking at you white). So with all this spot removal and burn being super effective in my cube, I have decided to implement some changes that can supply a few of the other colors (speficially white) with tools to combat them.
With all these results in mind, I decided I wanted to look for, perhaps, some combat tricks. Here was a card I stumbled upon that I think is ridiculously powerful: Orim's Cure. Is it just me, or does this card seem bonkers? It provides white with a great way to deal with red removal and can also blow out creatures in combat. The fact that you can play it for free makes it super effective and super tricky. A few other tricks that I have decided to toss in for white are: Emerge Unscathed and Benevolent Bodyguard. Both of these can act as protection from removal (defensive) or even work in your favor to get some damage through (offensive). In the case of Emerge Unscathed, it can be used both offensively and defensively with the Rebound.
Of course, I have decided to really focus on white for these changes, but I also wanted to add a few tools for both blue and green. For blue, or for my cube, U/G, I have decided to throw in Plaxmanta. Just a quick and efficient way to deal with a removal spell, and can also be used as a beater if need be. Not to mention it works amazingly against Rolling Thunder, which is a top played card in the winning decks. Speaking of destroying Rolling Thunder, another card I am throwing in is Mizzium Skin. I have done a few RTR drafts, and I think this card is a neat little trick. The hexproof is definitely good, but the +1 can sometimes be relevant. Just the fact that it blows out multiple creature targeting spells makes it worthy in my book.
For green, I have decided to add Vines of Vastwood. Efficient against removal and can be used offensively if kicked.... sounds good!
And then, for the grand finale, I thought I'd add something for every color in Swiftfoot Boots. Cheap and efficient. Equipment is good they say. It provides an ability that is sorely need in my opinion and has deserved to be added again.
I am getting a cube together tomorrow, so we will see if G/R or B/R can be stopped!! Hopefully these changes provide some comfort to the removalburn.dec matchup. I guess we will find out tomorrow!
Incidental lifegain DOAS WERK against red decks. Just random dudes/spells that gain some life make it a lot harder to burn you out.
Mizzium Skin...reaaaaaaallllllly? Why not just run...(more) good counterspells? Adding in 3 bad cards or whatever to counter 1 good card will lead to a bad environment imo.

I write about cube and run cube drafts on magic online.
First, 10 drafts is a very small set of data, so I wouldn't go hunting for red hosers based just on that. If "everyone knows" that red is good, people will fight over red cards and it will become harder to make a good red deck.
Second, Embolden and Shelter are way better than Orim's Cure if you're looking for white combat tricks.
Third, I agree with citynoise that blue should just run more counterspells instead of Mizzium Skin. From what you're missing, Negate would probably be my first pick if you want something relatively cheap.
I find red to be really cyclical in my cube. People will ignore it until there are like 2 drafts in a row where some guy is the only red drafter and kills everybody on T4 or something. Then red gets overdrated and underperforms due to all the fighting so eventually people ignore it again. Repeat.
I think it is because a lot of red cards look bad to people. Like good ole' Mr. Dr. Sir Jack El Pup Esq.

Life gain, value bears, anything that FORCES a board-impacting 2-for-1 (Anything from Shriekmaw over Talrand's Invocation to Perilous Myr will do), guys with toughness four, Pyroclasm are the main ways to deal with red. Do include cheap walls. Kraken Hatchling, Halimar Wavewatch, Wall of Tanglecord. I kid you not. These are absolutely crucial for blue decks to survive long enough to get ahead. You know that calculation, that a T1 Jackal Pup easily does six damage to your opponent and thus is a double Lava Spike? It applies vice versa to Kraken Hatchling. It neuters a Jackal Pup, and that can't be bad.
You can certainly overdo on walls, but you seem to be on the other end of the spectrum right now.
Specialities about the cube: U tempo, B aggro, R slow-ish are supported. G aggro is not.
Currently trying to support tokens in all colors but blue, in different ways: W pumps them, B sacrifices them, R suicides them, G has decent-sized ones.
