Your cube is gorgeous, man. It's definitely something to be proud of! I'm guessing the backwards card proxies are cards that you just haven't acquired in a pimped status yet?
Thanks Actually those are cards that are either out getting altered (Worn Powerstone, Tempt with Vengeance, Hero's Downfall, and Dance of the Dead) or that have been ordered but haven't arrived yet (Kira). Its the most complete that my cube's been in a while because it always felt like I had so many card missing due to alters being done at the time.
Absolutely beautiful! I can't even pick a favorite, but Liliana, Voice of Resurgence, and the stained glass style shock lands all stand out as amazing.
Edit: Wait, maybe the Sylvan Library is my fave. Stunning!
Dude your cube is so sexy! Like the Kate Beckinsale of all cubes (in that I can stare at her the whole day)!
I really like all your Bigup and Seesic's (especially the two Libraries and the Survival). But the duals, fetches and shocks are absolutely GORGEOUS and are probably my favourites in the entire collection.

Thanks! Funnily enough, after this comment I spent the next hour of my life looking at Kate Beckinsale.
Now you've motivated me to do scans of my cube as well. I haven't updated my photos in almost a year and last time I used a camera, but I do agree that scans came out looking nicer than photos.
I just got brand new sleeves for my cube so now is as good time as any to scan them.
It was probably the cases that slide apart, not the ones like that with the hinges. Although I have a hard time fitting sleeved cards into any of those plastic cases.
Putting packs in cases is a pretty good idea, actually. We've had several instances where someone has either started passing an extra pack or skipped one of their packs all together. (I'm not sure if this is a side effect of drinking while cubing or not.) Putting the packs in cases is a good way to keep them separate.
Haha, at least you guys have an excuse with drinking. Some of the guys here do it sober Yah I like that they keep them separate at the draft table AND the cube box.
We have some sober guys who've done it as well. We also once had a sober guy ask what an English Diabolic Servitude does during a draft. Magic players are unpredictable.
Haha true story my friend.. true story. You saw the altered Chaos Orb I had? I altered it SPECIFICALLY so people would know what it did and i wouldnt have to explain any house rules. I had a guy pass it to me and I was like WTF? What did you pick over this? Well I come to find out he thought the card still worked like the oracle text... I mean come on.. wtf??
Even after the alter? That's pretty funny. We still call that guy out on his asking about Servitude. And when one of our close friends asks what a card does, it's almost inevitable that someone will say, "It's in English, Cope" and we all have a good laugh at his expense (even if he's not there). People forget that RTFC is the first rule in Magic.

I started having people put a dice or basic land or iphone on top of their unopened packs to prevent accidently passing it. Been working out well so far.
We solved the booster confusion problem by stoping to cube with stupid people. Adding an extra layer of logistic work was not considered.
I like that
Myself, I'm too stupid myself to always keep track of which packs are open and which are closed, so when I finish building my cube packs I put a basic land from the basic land pile on top of each booster, front side up. That is very little extra logistics but helps us stupid folks a lot with passing the right packs.
We also do 3 zone drafts in order to reduce the chances of something going wrong:
Quote from Chris Page »
Explain next there are 3 different zones during the draft. Each zone can only hold ONE stack of cards.
They are:
1. IN HAND zone. This is the current pack that players are drafting from.
2. DRAFTED zone. This is zone collects the drafted cards a player has selected. This pile of cards should be stacked in a single pile face down with all card backs facing the same direction. The only time a player may examine this zone, is when they are between drafting packs and this should be for approximately 1 minute.
3. PASS zone. Here a player shares this zone with another to the same side as that zone. After drafting a single card from a pack, the pack can be placed in this zone making sure it follows the current rotation. If the PASS zone is still full the player cannot add a second stack. They must wait until the zone is clear. This will also cause their IN HAND zone to remain full, stopping them from recieving the next pack.

Of course we are playing very relaxed, so we allow the drafted cards to be examined at any time during the draft for example.
Yah Zone drafting is pretty much the standard I think for most major Pro Tour/GP side events I've been to, as well as local store drafts. It's what I preach everyone does as well, though stuff still gets mixed up every now and then..
Spectacular collection man. Just wonderful.
