So the cube has been playing like a dream lately. But for the sake of progress, we've decided to implement some changes. Most of them are additions from M13 that we feel are solid includes. We've also decided on permanent replacements for Griselbrand and Sundering Titan, the recently banned fatties. Like usual, I'll go through each portion of changes and give a little insight into our thought processes.
Odric was something that caught our eye the moment it was spoiled. He provides a very unique effect in the cube (the only comparable we found was Master Warcraft) and fits white's primary theme of token/swarm strategy. We feel that, in the right deck, he could be very powerful as a mono-white general. Also, Tails just wasn't being played. We will be adding Tails to the regular white pool.
Maelstrom Wanderer was drawing a large amount of hate (especially from myself). In the end, Wanderer is more than powerful enough to be a good general, and that was just the problem. We've tried to tailor our general pool to be facilitators. If every general could function like Riku of Two Reflections or Karador Ghost Chieftain, we would be ecstatic. Wanderer just brought too much brute force strength and variance for everyone's liking. When the entire strategy surrounding a deck is to cast your general over and over again and gain value, no matter what, then there is a problem. As someone who played standard extensively during Jund's tyranny, I still have a healthy hatred for the variance rewarding cascade mechanic. Wanderer just needed to go, so Animar is coming in.
Stonehewer never quite had the opportunity to shine, but we felt it was a bit too narrow. With only a handful of equipment in the deck, the chances of drafting both Stonehewer and said equipment was relatively slim. We wanted Tails in the cube somewhere, so the Giant got the axe.
Planar Cleansing is a card that has been around for a while and fits white's control theme very well. The M13 reprint brought it to our attention. As a board wipe, there are few better. Karmic Justice has been a neat card, but hasn't done anything of terrible relevance, so it's coming out.
A gamut of cuts here, most of which were brought on due simply to the handful of fun EDH blue cards coming out of M13. Eternal Dominion may strike some as an odd cut, but it has become basically universally hated by our playgroup. In fact, I've never before seen a card simultaneously hated by both the person casting it and his/her opponents. We needed to cut a big mana spell to make room for Omniscence, so Dominion was the obvious choice.
Another round of cuts. Firstly, with Recurring Nightmare, I didn't realize it had only been unbanned in 1v1 EDH, so despite my own protests of keeping it in, my playgroup quickly voted it out. Servitude comes right back in. The rest are fairly straightforward cuts, much like blue, all making room for M13 cards.
More straightforward cuts. Elderscale Wurm is something I mentioned to Theogony when it was first spoiled that he sort of laughed off. A few days later, we were playing a game and he mentioned from across the room that he could use Elderscale Wurm right about then. We both had a decent laugh about it and decided to give it a shot. Night Soil is unfortunately a card that simply fell to the numbers. We really wanted Yeva in there.
Solid inclusions and cuts. The ones we didn't have a chance to discuss look good too.
I was thinking we could actually live without Diabolic Servitude. It just never seems to work the way we want it to for whatever reason. Usually because the person using it pulls some shenanigans that turns it off. Also, the limited only to your graveyard thing really bothers me some times. I love the utility of the other reanimation spells being able to hit any graveyard, and DS just isn't the replacement for Recurring Nightmare I want it to be. At any rate, Murder seems like a solid upgrade from Doom Blade in this cube (where versatility beats cost any day), so maybe we could cut Diabolic Servitude for Murder.

Also, what do you think about Yeva as a general?
She looks like she could be a very solid mono green general, but I'm reluctant to cut Omnath, who is just a total bawse as a general. We'll discuss it more tomorrow when we play.

Word, think over Diabolic Servitude idea too. Maybe I'm not giving it enough time.
We haven't updated this thread in awhile simply because the cube has been playing very smoothly and we haven't felt the need to make any drastic changes. The M13 additions have been nice.
However, we're quickly approaching a decision on two general changes. Firstly, we will likely be adding Talrand in exchange for Teferi as blue's mono colored general. We've looked at some other options for blue, but Talrand seems to fit blue's theme and strategy within the cube itself. Teferi will certainly go into the blue section of the cube, but will cease to be a general relatively soon. We are also considering Vendillion Clique as blue's general. We are also looking for a replacement for Grand Arbiter Augustin IV and Teysa, Orzhov Scion. Hanna, Ship's Navigator seems like the group conscience vote to replace Arbiter, but we are still looking for a good WB general. Vish Kal is being considered, as is Ghost Council.
Lastly, the primary reason for updating this, was to share the most monstrous, ridiculous win in, probably, the cube's history, which took place last night. Theogony told me I had to share it with the forum.
I was playing a Damia deck (BUG) and had drawn Diabolic Revelation with a Mana Reflection, Oracle of Mul Daya, Rampaging Baloths, and two 4/4 Baolth tokens on the battlefield. Despite a fantastic board presence, I only had one card in hand: the Revelation. Both of my opponents were at 30+ life (I was in the teens), with multiple cards in hand and blockers available. One of my opponents (Theogony himself, playing an Olivia Voldaren deck) had gone from a commanding board presence earlier in the game (Kiki Jiki, Mirror Breaker, Avatar of Fury, and other goodies) to not so much after a board wipe a few turns prior.
I cast Diabolic Revelation, with X at 7. Theogony was able to Reiterate (with Buyback) the Diabolic Revelation, setting us both up for monster turns. However, I knew if I was allowed to untap, I would likely win with the following seven cards I tutored for with the Revelation:
Mana Reflection (which was tucked by Chaos Warp in response to casting Diabolic Revelation; I flipped Umezawa's Jitte with Warp O.O)
The third player (playing a Niv Mizzet deck) didn't have much of a board presence. But on the turn following the Revelation, was able to resolve Glen Elendra Archmage with an active Crystal Shard on the battlefield. He then passed turn.
Theogony had a full grip of cards due to the Reiterated Diabolic Revelation. I forget exactly what he cast, but regardless, he was unable to kill me then and there to prevent me from untapping. (Hopefully, he can shed a little more light into these sequence of plays from his perspective.)
The resulting turn and combat phase were unlike anything I've personally ever seen in a game of Magic.
I was able to recast Mana Reflection off the bat. The Niv Mizzet player did not counter with Glen Elendra, knowing I had both Boundless Realms and Time Stretch in hand. This proved to be fatal, however. I immediately cast Spin Into Myth, targeting his Archmage. He either forgot I had the Spin Into Myth, figured I would use it for something else, or just didn't quite realize that I had a win in hand if I could just get past his Archmage. In his defense, it was 2am at this point, and we were on the fourth marathon game of the night.
With Glen Elendra gone, I was able to resolve Time Stretch. I untapped for my first extra turn, casting Avenger of Zendikar for 12 plant tokens. Just for overkill, I Eternal Witnessed a Phantasmal Image from my yard, cast it, and copied the Avenger, putting 12 more plant tokens into play. I promptly resolved Boundless Realms, dropping 12 lands into play for 12 Landfall triggers for BOTH Avengers AND Baloths.
I untapped again for my second extra turn, and final of the game, attacking both of my opponents with the following board:
24 12/13 plant tokens
14 4/4 Baloth tokens
2 5/5 Avenger of Zendikar
1 6/6 Rampaging Baloths
1 2/2 Oracle of Mul Daya (pumped four times by Jitte's +2/+2)
1 2/1 Eternal Witness
The resulting damage was well into the 300s, and the most any of us have ever seen dealt in a single turn (ignoring infinite damage combos).
We wanted to share this with the forum just to give an idea of some of the mind blowing plays possible in this cube. Awesome times!

I was a little short on mana to pull off my win in a single turn, so I needed a little set up to get there. Unfortunately that gave LC time to work out his path to victory as well. My win consisted of an Ulamog, In the Web of War, Gratuitous Violence, and Aggravated Assault. My stall was Reiterate thinking I could just sandbag that for his Time Stretch and I would get my turns first. We discussed that strategy a bit and decided that it wouldn't work that way after all, but regardless, I needed time to set up.
What happened with the Glen Elendra Archmage was that LC bashed into the Niv Mizzet player with a Silent-Blade Oni. The hand revealed that only Brainstorm was worth casting, but the Niv Mizzet player saw a Beacon of Unrest on top of LC's library and the Vedalken Orrery in my graveyard. Knowing that we would never get a shields down moment to keep you in check if you had the Orrery in play, he countered the Brainstorm thinking he still had one more activation for the Time Stretch. LC casts Spin into Myth on the Archmage and wins the game. Countering the Brainstorm wasn't the right play, but as you said, it was 2am and 4 games in. He figured denying you options was the best play at that point in the game.
Craziest play I've seen yet. A total of 372 attacking damage.
I'll see if we can do something this weekend. You available Friday or Saturday?
I'll be available saturday, today I have to close so I won't get out until late and I have work the next morning, no such restrictions on saturday, though I won't be able to come until later (9ish)

Want to Cube but don't have one? Check the map if anyone is in your area and get cubing!
Teferi will obviously go in blue. I will not list a "cut" for Teferi, considering we are increasing the cube size and Teferi will simply be apart of the expansion for blue.
We are adding 9 to each color, 10 to the multicolor pool, and 5 to the colorless pool. We are in the process of finding good additions, and will keep this thread updated. We are adding two generals to the general pool, and are leaning heavily toward Cromat and Child of Alara.
Just letting you guys know, I'm going to be posting my EDH Cube List (up to date) later today. My latest changes involve including some banned-in-EDH cards for testing purposes.

That is very cool man. I look forward to seeing it. I looked at your old list posted in the commander forum quite a bit to find some cards for out latest update. It will be interesting to see how your list has changed.
As Theogony and I have discussed over the last week or so, we are expanding the cube to a total of 576 cards in the "regular" pool, and expanding the general pool to 32 cards. The impetus for this expansion is to support a full 8-man draft, using the entire cube. We have been looking at inclusions for a little over a week now, and have finally reached an agreement on the following cards. We have decided to expand each color section by 10, multicolor by 10, and colorless by 16. We have also decided to swap out a couple "problem" cards, as well as cards that simply haven't been played a lot.
This keeps our "color split" among generals completely even, as well as expands the pool to 32 total generals. We discussed the idea of adding two five color generals (which may eventually happen) but for now, I liked the addition of both Thraximundar and Sigarda. Sedris, the Traitor King sees only marginal play and I felt strongly about including another Grixis general. Thraximundar may be a bit too griefer, but we'll see how our playgroup responds. Sigarda is not only the perfect foil to Thraximundar, but she also goes a long way in combatting a lot of different cards within the pool. The Eldrazi, Grave Pact, Braids, Smokestack, et al are no longer so terrifying with Sigarda as your general.
We wanted to further support prison strategies, as well as continue to build on white's other dominant theme: tokens. Moreover, as the strongest board control color in the cube, we felt white needed a few more artifact/enchantment hate spells, as well.
Time Stretch has turned into one of the strongest, if not THE strongest spell in the entire cube. We have yet to see a player resolve Time Stretch and fail to win. We felt Walk the Aeons was a good replacement. The rest of blue's additions are self explanatory.
Mostly self explanatory additions: tutoring, reanimation, griefer, and tokens. Both Theogony and myself liked the idea of adding in another X loss of life spell for black. Both Theogony and myself play black quite a bit and are always looking for that Profane Command to kill a player on the spot. Exsanguinate simply looks like a huge swingy card that can and most likely will end a game on the spot with a good amount of mana.
Red is far and away the weakest color in the cube, but we still attempted to support its general themes with this update. We're particularly excited to see how well Final Fortune performs.
Green's primary theme in the cube is simply high quality cards, and this update reflects that. We tried to add in some different effects here. I'm not the biggest fan of Berserk and Theogony is not the biggest fan of Birthing Pod, so we both made concessions there. But overall, nothing too out of the ordinary in green's expansion.
Mostly cards that couldn't make it in the regular cube that absolutely make it in with the expansion. Theogony really wanted more non-green Signets in the cube, hence their inclusion. We're particularly excited for Waves of Aggression.
All of the Altars made it in after Dolono's high recommendation. In fact, we were originally only planning on expanding the colorless section by eight slots, but after we were urged to include the Altars, we decided to simply expand colorless by 16. All of the above inclusions are solid in their own right. I'm a bit worried about Karn Liberated and the entire concept of starting a huge multiplayer game over, but we'll see how things play out.
-- -- -- -- --
And that's it, folks. The changes are reflected in post #1 as always, and we will certainly be updating the thread with reports on the expansion altogether.
Edit: Post #1 updated.
Edit 2: Post updated with correct numbers.
All good points. I've never been a huge fan of Cloudgoat Ranger. Archangel of Strife has shown up big in some of the token themed decks, often tripling a player's attacking strength.
I'll discuss it with Theogony, but I wouldn't mind cutting Purify for Serenity and Cloudgoat for Sun Titan.

Hey, loving how this cube looks now. Looks like a hell of a blast to play. Have you tried 1 vs 1 drafting before? If so, how does that pan out?
We've never drafted this 1v1, but we have played some 1v1 games in between the longer multiplayer games. The games usually go one of two ways. The players starting out with the most ramp or mana rocks takes dominance right from the beginning and hold it until the game is over, or that person it halted at some point and then the other players takes dominance and holds it until the game is over. There isn't really a lot of back and forth like there is in the big multiplayer games. However that might have something to do with not constructing our decks with the intention to play 1v1. Might be interesting to try though.
We have played 1v1 sealed in the past and it was okay. Not a tremendous experience, but not as bad as you would think. I would play 1v1 sealed if we didn't have enough players for a multiplayer game.

Generals
Eight-and-a-Half-Tails ---> Odric, Master Tactician
Maelstrom Wanderer ---> Animar, Soul of Elements

Blue
Deprive ---> Stormtide Leviathan
Eternal Dominion ---> Omniscence
Mystic Remora ---> Spelltwine
Legacy's Allure ---> Void Stalker
Beseech the Queen ---> Diabolic Revelation
Red
No changes.
Green
Cultivate ---> Boundless Realms
Vorapede ---> Elderscale Wurm
Night Soil ---> Yeva, Nature's Herald
More straightforward cuts. Elderscale Wurm is something I mentioned to Theogony when it was first spoiled that he sort of laughed off. Multicolor
No changes.
Colorless
Sundering Titan ---> Trading Post
Extraplanar Lens ---> Mystifying Maze
Out comes Titan, in comes the ultra cool Trading Post that I am convinced will be absolutely fantastic in this cube.
Out comes Lens, which simply was never being played, and in comes Maze of Ith 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Edit: Card tags added because Theogony yelled at me.

Generals
White
Cloudgoat Ranger -> Sun Titan
Felidar Sovereign -> Martyr's Bond
Twilight Shepherd -> Hokori Dust Drinker
We wanted to further support prison strategies, as well as continue to build on white's other dominant theme: tokens. Moreover, as the strongest board control color in the cube, we felt white needed a few more artifact/enchantment hate spells, as well.
Blue
Deep Analysis -> Arcanis the Omnipotent
Opportunity -> Myojin of Seeing Winds
Dungeon Geists -> Sakashima the Imposter
Dismiss -> Decree of Silence
Time Stretch -> Walk the Aeons
Time Stretch has turned into one of the strongest, if not THE strongest spell in the entire cube. We have yet to see a player resolve Time Stretch and fail to win. We felt Walk the Aeons was a good replacement. The rest of blue's additions are self explanatory.
Black
Mostly self explanatory additions: tutoring, reanimation, griefer, and tokens. Both Theogony and myself liked the idea of adding in another X loss of life spell for black. Both Theogony and myself play black quite a bit and are always looking for that Profane Command to kill a player on the spot. Exsanguinate simply looks like a huge swingy card that can and most likely will end a game on the spot with a good amount of mana.
Red
Red is far and away the weakest color in the cube, but we still attempted to support its general themes with this update. We're particularly excited to see how well Final Fortune performs.
Green
Sakura-Tribe Elder -> Myojin of Life's Web
Birds of Paradise -> Skyshroud Claim
Green's primary theme in the cube is simply high quality cards, and this update reflects that. We tried to add in some different effects here. I'm not the biggest fan of Berserk and Theogony is not the biggest fan of Birthing Pod, so we both made concessions there. But overall, nothing too out of the ordinary in green's expansion.
Multicolor
Green/White
Privileged Position
Eladamri's Call -> Behemoth Sledge
Blue/White
Mistmeadow Witch
Blue/Black
Dimir Signet
Red/Black
Rakdos Signet
Terminate -> Void
Red/Green
Fires of Yavimaya
Blue/Green
Spitting Image
Simic Sky Swallower -> Overbeing of Myth
Red/Blue
Mizzium Transreliquat
Red/White
Waves of Aggression
Black/White
Orzhov Signet
Mortify -> Angel of Despair
Green/Black
Worm Harvest
Mostly cards that couldn't make it in the regular cube that absolutely make it in with the expansion. Theogony really wanted more non-green Signets in the cube, hence their inclusion. We're particularly excited for Waves of Aggression.
Colorless
All of the Altars made it in after Dolono's high recommendation. In fact, we were originally only planning on expanding the colorless section by eight slots, but after we were urged to include the Altars, we decided to simply expand colorless by 16. All of the above inclusions are solid in their own right. I'm a bit worried about Karn Liberated and the entire concept of starting a huge multiplayer game over, but we'll see how things play out.

And that's it, folks. The changes are reflected in post #1 as always, and we will certainly be updating the thread with reports on the expansion altogether.
Edit: Post #1 updated.
Edit 2: Post updated with correct numbers.

Serenity is WAY better than Purify. Sure, it has a one-turn delay on going off, but it comes down for three less mana, and being an enchantment plays very well with white, as you can tutor it with Enlightened Tutor, Idyllic Tutor, Academy Rector, and Sterling Grove if you run it. Additionally, you can recur it with Auramancer and Sun Titan if you run them. Speaking of which, where the heck is Sun Titan?!? That card is easily one of White's best, and I'd definitely run it over Felidar Sovereign, Archangel of Strife, or Cloudgoat Ranger.

On spoiled card wishlisting and 'should-have-had'-isms:
I imagine not very well, since it's a multiplayer EDH Cube. I've never drafted mine with fewer than 4 people, and I'm in no particular hurry to do so.

Forcefield
Hua Tuo, Honored Physician
Myojin of Cleansing Fire
Myojin of Seeing Winds
Decree of Silence
Opposition - Not sure why we didn't consider this before, but it's perfect for blue.
If you dig through, I'm sure you'll find the rest.
