I'd only add the Null Rod if you're finding that the Moxes are dominating to the point where it's un-fun. Especially with Pithing Needle (which is a great card, btw) already in the cube.
All the cards you want to add are good (and cubeworthy) except for the Crypt Champion. Even as a BR slot, it's underpowered.
I think Crypt Champion is a really nice creature, but have never tried it in Cube. Why did you not find it to be good?
I agree that the other cards are worth including, I hear Shackles are excellent although I don't own a copy (I believe I traded mine away long ago for magic beans).
I don't know about Chalice of the Void or Null Rod in Cube, I personally wouldn't include these.
Time Spiral and Impulse are two others that I inexplicably don't seem to own and obviously want to include when I turn up a copy from my binders or buy one.
GW - Another selection with tons of fantastic cards. I'd make room for Armadillo Cloak and perhaps Phantom Nishoba. All the cards you have in are good though.
3+ Color - There are really, really powerful 3-color cards now. You don't have to use sub-par selections. Most of the 6-drop dragons are playable, and the enemy-color split cards are fantastic. All the charms are good... all of 'em. Find the 3-color cards that best support your archetypes and use those. I'm not sure Dakkon Blackblade and Guided Passage are the way to do that.
I think Crypt Champion is a really nice creature, but have never tried it in Cube. Why did you not find it to be good?
Well, the Crypt Champion has a solid effect. The problem is that you need to play it as a BR card (or it's really, really bad). As a gold card, it loses most of it's value because instead of competing for a spot against FIFTY or more black cards, it's fighting for a spot inside FIVE black/red cards. Compared to Terminate, Blazing Specter, Void, etc, etc... the card just doesn't stack up anymore.
I picked up a Dream Halls yesterday for $1. It was one of those cards I was on the fence about using...now that I have it, it might go in.
I just re-re-read Crypt Champion and in a RB deck, giving an opponent a 3cc creature (if they even have one -- although providing them their Eternal Witness again probably isn't a good idea) isn't much of a drawback considering you just gave cast a dude with Double Strike, not to mention, you'll have a plethora of removal at your fingertips. I do really like the idea of a black creature with double strike though...he gave me the happy.
Oh yeah -- by the way, I also got my grubby little hands on a Sphere of Resistance -- I couldn't help myself.

Yeah drop Memory Plunder. Also, I know you like the 5CC Avatar guys, but I think the Ghastlord is not one of the best. I like most of them except Demigod (not for Cube), Nobilis and this one, just because U/B is mostly very good.
Cemetary Puca has been fun and quite good for us, but it could never compete for a slot among five in a smaller Cube than mine.
Also, I would agree, definately add Dream Halls, because it enables all kinds of crazy shenanigans.

I'd find room for Stormbind and Desolation Angel. They're the best gold/multi cards you're not using. I'd remove Decimate for the Stormbind. You have to have all four targets to resolve Decimate (or else it fizzles), and that rarely ever happens. Stormbind wins close games, and is a house against control. Desolation Angel is a beating and a half. An Armageddon and a 5/4 flying creature for seven?... savage.
Yeah, Decimate is out -- Stormbind is a much better fit. I've re-read all these cards over the past few weeks, and never realized how crappy Decimate is.
I'll have to find a home for the 5cc Desolation Angel. Consider them both done.

Ya, I think I'd tweak the lands a bit. I don't like the invasion CIPT land cycle, and I think there are a few other lands that could be cut too (like Tarnished Citadel, for example). I would add all 10 of the bounce lands (Simic Growth Chamber, and its ilk). They're really, really good.
The Invasion CIPT lands are mildly useful in the Cube, but extremely useful in Conquest. For now they'll stay, unless the Bounce lands (which I know little about) perform better.
I'll take a look and see what I can move around -- I like the 2/3 of each color-based for nonbasics (Cradle, Academy, etc)
Updated all my lands.
Added a breakdown so each color has 2 "specialty" lands, took out the CIPT Lands (Invasion's and Shards') added the 10 "Bounce" lands from Rav block.

I'm going to be adding 1 card to each of the two-color combinations, and 2 cards to the 3+ color combinations, adding a total of 12 cards to the Multi/Hybrid section (this would make the deck an even 600).
These are my current "wants", but I'm open to suggestions...

I'm assuming that your multi section also includes hybrids:
Yes, they do.
Your black/red choices are good. I'm not a huge fan of Wrecking Ball in that section. Murderous Redcap?
I like having sources of LD -- especially when they can double as spot removal. Murderous Redcap floated around as an idea, but I did forget to list him...thanks!
I don't like either of those for blue/white. They seem like they will be good but just don't cut it. Maybe try Ardent Plea? Mirrorweave!!!
Ardent Plea looks cool, I'm not crazy about Mirrorweave, unless someone (most likely wtfwlf) talks me into it. My friend is swearing by Rasputin (which was under discussion on another thread), so we may go that route...
Blue/back: Cemetary Puca and Blizzard Specter are just not that great. Moroii?
Got one lying around. I was interested in using Mind Funeral to have a Mill deck as a viable archetype. But that would also hold true for Oona.
Red/blue seems fine. Fire//Ice?
Already in the deck.
I don't like Captain Sisay, but everything else is good.
Given the number of multi-colored creatures in the deck, I would imagine Sisay to be pretty good.

BR: of those i'd take fulminator mage, although others have nearly convinced me that army ants is absolutely insane. some other recommendations would be murderous redcap and shambling remains. again both of those guys have been really good for us.
WU: i hate this color combination. there are probably about three truly cube worthy cards for this set. the rest are merely ok. ith has been all right for us, i guess... but he's on the list to come out for overrule i'd also recommend wall of denial or plumeveil. and also i don't really like ardent plea... it doesn't do enough to effect the game state.
RG: bloodbraid elf, definitely. you might also look at giant solifuge and burning tree shaman. i feel like solifuge is an auto include.
UB: oona wins this one. we just put her in last week, but she seems absolutely broken. i'd also look at wydwen, the biting gale. i'd probably still pick oona here tho.
BW: stillmoon cavalier seems really good. i would recommend death grasp.
UR: i don't really have an opinion on the cards that you listed. they're both pretty good. prophetic bolt has been pretty good for us. the dragon is on our "to go in" list, but he just hasn't made it there yet. i did notice that you're missing niv-mizzet, the firemind from your UR list. he is absolutely nuts. just for the record.
RW: brion stoutarm has been really really good for us. soltari guerillas is another that's been pretty good, but i'd still pick brion over him.
GU: i'd take the trygon predator here. i'd recommend lorescale coatl and simic sky swallower. we just put these last two in so the only card here that i can really vouch for is the predator. he's been good for us. i know that sss is a house in constructed. or at least... he was when he was in standard. sitting across from him was very problematic. and lorescale coatl just looks like tarmogoyf jr in the right deck. and he's in GU... what better place to draw some cards and make him fat?
GW: of the cards you listed, i'd take the behemoth sledge. after looking at your current list i'd recommend loxodon hierarch, watchwolf, and qasali pridemage. i also noticed you're not running armadillo cloak. i'd personally run this over the sledge, but that's up for debate and probably just a personal choice.
also... totally off topic, but [band]machine head[/band] rules! i got to see them live last year at the mayhem festival in va beach. that was an excellent show.
Oona is one of my absolutely favorite finishers in the entire cube. He's very Melokuish on a Keiga-sized body. I've definitely milled a number of people out of the game as well, though Oona primarily wins most of the time on the back of just being a fat flier that makes an army. Also, as pointed out, Wydwen is really, really good.
also... totally off topic, but [band]machine head[/band] rules! i got to see them live last year at the mayhem festival in va beach. that was an excellent show. :jam:calibretto
Yes, agreed. Very good band that does very good shows.
Btw, since we are doing the off-topic thing about avatars, Battle Chasers was one of my favorite graphic novel series of all time despite it's extremely short life-span. Glad to see some appreciation for it a decade after it's time.
Thanks for all the suggestions, fudge man, there are some houses I need to consider.
And I changed my Machine Head logo avatar after watching the entire Godfather series on [shameless plug]HD Net[/shameless plug] (which means it was in glorius High Def, and unedited AND without commercials -- I love having a DVR!!) a week ago. I had REALLY forgotten how much I love Michael Corleone as a character. His cold, calculating thinking -- and how he never changes his tone of voice (unless his wife explains in bitter detail how it wasn't a miscarriage).
The first Godfather is arguably the best movie EVER -- metacritic.com even agrees! And Rotten Tomatoes has it at 100!

Dakkon Blackblade
Sol'Kanar the Swamp King
Overgrown Estate
Yore-Tiller Nephilim
Kresh the Bloodbraided
Guided Passage
Child of Alara
Glint-Eye Nephilim
So...
BG - Looks great.
BR - Spiteful Visions could be replaced with a better card IMO. Blazing Specter comes to mind... Wrecking Ball is good too.
WU - Not a fan of Pride of the Clouds... Teferi's Moat is a solid card that's not listed here.
RG - I don't like any of it except for the Fires really. There are some really good cards that aren't in here yet... namely Stormbind, Shivan Wurm, Hull Breach and Giant Solifuge.
UB - This color combo has some seriously powerful cards. I'd look into Psychatog and Shadowmage Infiltrator at least...
WB - I really like Gerrard's Verdict, but the selection is fine if you don't want to cut anything.
UR - I'd add Gelectrode, Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, and Prophetic Bolt. They're all great.
WR - Goblin Legionnaire and Goblin Trenches are both cube-worthy IMO.
UG - I'd find room for Temporal Spring and Snakeform. They're both really, really solid.
GW - Another selection with tons of fantastic cards. I'd make room for Armadillo Cloak and perhaps Phantom Nishoba. All the cards you have in are good though.

I also think there are a few other nonbasics that belong in the cube. Try increasing the color-based nonbasics (you have Academy Ruins, Gaea's Cradle, etc...). I'd add a few more lands like those (maybe balance the cube completely by using 2 of each color?) Stuff like Volrath's Stronghold, Treetop Village, Kor Haven, Barbarian Ring, and Kjeldoran Outpost come to mind.

I'd still play Kjeldoran Outpost and Volrath's Stronghold though. They're 2 of the best nonbasic lands in the cube.

Yes, agreed. Very good band that does very good shows.
Btw, since we are doing the off-topic thing about avatars, Battle Chasers was one of my favorite graphic novel series of all time despite it's extremely short life-span. Glad to see some appreciation for it a decade after it's time.
