Holy moly. I think the option to Replicate is better than cycling, so this could beat out Miscalculation. Any lower tier counterspell can get axed for sure.
Yup... Miscalculation may be getting the boot. It's a close call - very hard to say...sometimes you really don't want the counter and need to cycle to dig for something proactive like a wrath or whatnot.
I think if replicate was 1 colorless instead of 1 blue I would definitely cut miscalculation...but as it is I may sit this on the sidelines and see how it plays out for others.
I think this is probably worse than both mana leak and miscalc, and the question is do I want a 3rd version of that effect?
Perhaps since I'm still running condescend/disallow/supreme will, one of those is cuttable? Disallow has been very meh so I think that's the swap I'll make.

I'd argue this is stronger than Mana Leak since it's just as effective early game, isn't a complete dud later, and has advantages in a counter war.
The big advantages Mana Leak / Miscalculation have over this is that this loses potency the more colors your deck has.
This card is hot fire. And it's baller with Sedgemoor Witch!
OMG YES!
I love how many cards in this set are great for the aggressive blue deck (1-2 CMC counter magic) and the hard blue control decks (3-4 CM hard counter spells)

Scaleable Quench. This is Mana Leak / Miscalculate good, and replicate means your opponent can't just respond back with their counter

This scales super well. In the late game if the opponent has plenty of mana, you can still overpower their resources if you have enough islands.

I think this doesn't beat other counterspells right? b/c you can only replicate when you cast it? maybe I'm missing something.
