Green court. While people's first impressions will probably be to shove this into Oath of Druids / Eureka cheaty face decks, not being able to break the symmetry of monarch makes this dangerous to maindeck. I think this is best in green midrange / Natural Order decks as a value engine to grind with monarch + explore / AEther Vial trigger. Those decks have the ramp to play this on turn 3, have the critical mass of creatures to break the symmetry of monarch, and this is an alternate way to cheat in your Natural Order hits if they get stuck in your hand.
This seems great to me! Steve can you elaborate on "not being able to break the symmetry of monarch makes this dangerous to maindeck"? Not sure I understand.
Good Oath decks are light on creatures. When you play this, you won't have a board presence to "defend" the monarch with ...making it a dangerous card to play in creature-light decks.
This feels too dangerous. I'm firmly in the camp that monarch is a win-more mechanic in 1v1.
I'm okay with cards like Palace Jailer/ Custodi Lich - the upside of monarch attached to a creature is you can easily flicker/ bounce to regain the monarch + gain an additional removal effect.

This doesn't feel very dangerous at all to me. The floor is Exploration, draw a card, your opponent draws an additional card at the end of each of their turns. I could see situations where you still want to play this even knowing your opponent will take the crown.
The one thing I really like about this card is that it is the perfect card to make the famous Eternal Command deck by Shouta Yasooka a thing in cube.
It happens super infrequently, and requires an extremely experienced pilot, but when it comes together with my group everybody gets so incredibly excited. It's a UG midrange/control deck that wins via Eternal Witness + Cryptic Command to cement a lategame advantage.
I've tried seeding Aether Vial as a WW card that could make Eternal Command a thing before, and that doesn't work at all. I might try this for the same reason, although I expect it will also fail.
Card seems cool but just seems like it's going to be too hard to protect yourself. I think I'd really only be willing to play this in decks that would ordinarily platy Show and Tell, which tend to not play small creatures to block with or smaller creatures to get the monarch back if you lose it.

Not that I'm especially familiar with the Eternal Witness control decks outside of modern, but I feel like Sublime Epiphany and/or Den Protector would make sense if you're trying to support that and need more redundancy. Even cards like Seasons Past (which I remember playing in my first cube years ago and was super fun) are sorta in that green control vein
I runned some CMR cards (proxies) in this weekend and Court of Bounty was a big disappointment. Normally we lost the monarch when a had a creature in hands or it doesn't make necessary. Could be just a bad luck days. I'd to know the experience of other players with it.
In other hand the Court of Ire was the big surprise!
I runned Court of Bounty in GW mindrange and URG midrange/super ramp. While the Court of Ire was running in BR midrange (or BR with G splash). But I'm thinking that Court of Ire could be good in Red control decks.
played this in a gruul deck last night and 3-0'd with it. Court of Bounty was superb. green can defend the monarchy really well. dropped hornet queen and woodfall primus with it multiple times.
Excellent card in Natural Order shells either helping you draw into the combo or allowing you to dump targets that ended up in your hand and can no longer be played as NO targets.
This is prob not the best card for the Fatty Cheat deck, but sounds ideal for a slower GW lands deck. I'll be experimenting with a GW lands with Court of Bounty, Solemnity, Glacial Chasm, Felidar Retreat,

I don't think Court of Bounty is what the land deck needs, especially since it's not the type of deck that can play the monarch game well. Even if you are locking them down with Glacial Chasm, what is Court of Bounty even doing that another monarch card couldn't do? IMO this card is best in Natural Order / generic GX midrange decks that can capitalize on both the monarch and the tempo swings that dumping a creature onto the battlefield.

My problem with playing it in a Natural Order deck is how easily the monarch can be stolen. This isn't like Court of Grace where white can often get ahead + stay ahead.
The other shell I think this might be good in is the Reanimator shell which it can be relevant vs the slower controlling builds.
I played straight up Exploration for a bit and the card was a bad Mox Diamond 60-70% of the time and occasionally a lands build around.

I think I like Magus more in Natural Order decks since it's zero risk / high reward, but this is the better generic midrange card.

Very happy.
- Dark Depths arguably works the best with Solemnity, Knight of the Reliquary
- Solemnity works with Urza Saga (lock on 2) + Glacial Chasm, which works well with Court of Bounty.
- Felidar Retreat / Court of Bounty (White has Enlightment Tutor)
- White Sweepers/ Unconditional removal/ Planeswalkers / Moat plays well with a slower lands theme
- White X tokens are good early blockers / ramp targets
- Sevinne's Reclamation / Sun Titan can recur lands.
- Gideon of the trials / Gideon Jura play defensive very well.
