This seems good. It's an instant almost-Vindicate at the cost of an additional color or mono-black unrestricted creature removal. I'm tempted by it, although cutting Warden of the First Tree is a heavy lift. Thoughts?
Yeah, I have been mulling over replacing Warden since I saw this card. It's an easier-to-cast Murder at Worst and an instant Maelstrom Pulse at best. I do like Warden quite a bit though so it's not an easy decision.
I just don't think it gets there. I like the casting options, but both the 2B mode and the WBG mode feel slightly underwhelming to me. I like the flexibility, but I think I can pass. Especially given the quality of the removal available to already.
This is a great card and I would like the art in cube but I just son't need to burn the few slots I have for triple color cards on removal. Ohrzov already has vindicate, anguished unmaking, and utter end, and golgari might even be deeper on removeal. Plus I am already cutting great removal out of white and black.
I'm actively maintaining a comprehensive article to help explain to new cube players how some complex vintage level cards work in a cube environment. Vintage Cube Cards Explained
Cool card, but like others are saying both Golgari and Orzhov have a wealth of these effects, and because of mana constraints you are multiple times less likely to be able to cast the wedge card than a guild equivalent.

Bonus: The art is amazing!
