Any interest? I like how it can pressure planeswalkers (eat the blocker and attack the walker) and answer annoying flyers for the color combination *cough baneslayer *cough*. Against creature light decks, sniping a man land is a decent option.
Think the 6 drop slot in green is weak outside of the top 2, as is gruul. While not especially powerful compared to other 6 drops in cube, might have fine roleplayer status for larger cubes?
Probably needed to hit any non-basic, or be a 5/6 base to be great (that way it could eat titans/sphinx on etb).
I really like this creature and, surprisingly, I think I might be able to find room for it. My Gruul section always feels a little squishy and I've been running Fires of Yavimaya for far too long. I think I'll probably end up testing this and I think it will play well. There are so many ways this guy can impact the board when it hits.
This is an interesting and flexible card that I would have liked much much more at 3RG. I'm not sure it's good enough to displace things I'm already running.
This feels like it misses the third option: destroy target artifact or enchantment or cmc 5 or 1 higher base power to be more impressive. Especially the missing 6 power can be a problem if you want this wurm to be removal für late game bombs like Titans.
As it stands, this has to compete with Dragon Broodmother in my cube and even with heavy etb support, I doubt that it can take over games and win you a round in a multiplayer cube like Dragon Broodmother. Nevertheless, for a 1vs1 cube with heavy etb theme, this will be a welcome addition.
I feel this card is dependent on what you want from your gruul spot. Dragonlord Atarka is clearly the better ramp target but if you want more than one 6+ drop in the guild this guy could slot in nicely. Personally, between Emissary of Grudges, Carnage Tyrant and the titans im not looking for anymore 6 drops on these color, especially one that takes up a guild spot. I'm still confident we'll find a few good, cheap riot creatures for the Cube though. The ability is really strong.
I don't think this competes with Atarka at all. This is a little more castable and haste is huge, especially with the removal option. I like it better than Prime Time in an RG deck, and while it isn't Inferno Titan, it isn't too far off, and hits harder when it comes down. I'll pull one of the 4 drops and potentially focus Gruul on a Fires-style ramp into monsters deck.

I’d only like this better than Primeval Titan in a deck that doesn’t curve beyond 6. Also, this can’t breathe the same air as Inferno Titan. Sure, the Wurm can kill bigger things, but Inferno Titan’s trigger is divisible, clears chump blockers, hits players and planeswalkers, and also triggers on attack.
Compares rather poorly to Glorybringer, although that is of course an excellent card. In its own CMC range I'll take Inferno Titan over it any day of the week (also no great insult to the Wurm). Good creature but we won't find room for it @360, the Rakdos section is too strong .
It's so strong it's kicking out gruul cards? Hot damn, this man likes his rakdos!
Not the card we wanted, but very suitable for the purpose. Gruul decks around here are usually a red splash in a green ramp deck, or a cheat deck. Green decks splash red exactly for effects like this - removal and haste. The land-hating clause will not be trinket text either, although rare.
There are also real downsides. I think the major one is how weak it is against decks that go wide, without any form of evasion. A trample could go a really long way here. The other major downside is that it is probably not attractive enough to cheat with Sneak Attack and Natural Order (and every other off-color effect). Again, this is mostly due to this card being value in a point of the curve you want a finisher (and evasion could fix that).
Definitely worse than Atarka, but a weaker Atarka could still be #2 in Gruul, at least in amount of play if not ceiling. I'll likely try it unless we get a different amazing Gruul card this set.
I guess we’re really desperate for some true Gruul powerhouses, but I’m not seeing it at all. Glorybringer does much of the work that this does at 5 mana in a mono-colored slot, and even that’s not necessarily a staple. The LD clause is highly situational, and the body lacks the raw power of a card you want to rival a Titan. Even the haste is a bit gimped by the fact that this will probably have damage marked on it headed into combat.
I agree it doesn't deserve a slot on raw power.. and the glory-bringer analogy people are making is reasonable.
Devil's advocate argument for this card
1st, Glory bringer probably should be a staple. Glorybringer would be a better card if it cost 3GR instead of 3RR. The only reason a few cubers doubt it, is there is heavy heavy competition at it's slot. I would jump for joy at a glorybringer clone at 3RG.
Green can make 5 mana better than red, green symbols allow it to be tutored for in a couple ways, green wants the removal more.
In general there's a void at the green 6 CMC, considering it's kind of a sweet spot for creature based ramp decks. Very achievable hard cast, while not embarassing if cheated out.
While the wurm wouldn't be a go-to natural order target, there are board states where it'll be the right target to get. With my current green suite, I sometimes run into natural order decks that really want another 6cmc target.
I truly believe this is the #3 ranked 6cmc mostly green creature ever printed... and there aren't an abundance of excellent green 5 drops to make up for the lack of depth at 6.
There aren't many 5/5's in cube, but some cube's run both lyra AND baneslayer.. Having an effective answer to those cards is a nice bonus over glorybringer, since those cards single highhandedly wreck R OR G decks.
I ultimately think it's a miss in my list, but a very close one given all the favorable factors besides it's raw power level. I'm testing, but don't think it'll stick... and yes , inferno titan laughs at the wurm.

Carnage Tyrant has been performing very well for me. I'm also really liking Regal Behemoth ever since I added my Channel package.
I don't think this competes well at all with green / red's 5 and 6 drops.
For what it's worth, I think green wants more 6 drops than any other color. Blue and black are next, but there's plenty of non-creature spells at 6 in blue. I like carnage tyrant a lot as a roleplayer, and regal behemoth was solid, but they are quite a big step down from the titans imo. I think the wurm is better than the behemoth, as he stabilizes the board much much better when behind.. something I value a lot from 6+ drops. But it's close enough that I could easily be wrong.
PS, channel looks completly busted in your cube at the moment
This is a good creature. I'm not sure if I want a 2nd 6+cc fatty in and I like Dragonlord Atarka a lot more. But this creature does a lot of things; it's basically 4 creatures in 1. Plus, neither red or green are really in the market for more 6-drops, so this isn't as important as it would've been a year or two ago. Cool card though.
The only thing that makes me want this card is the vanillaness that currently exists in Gruul. We've also been pushing GR monsters recently, so this might perform well there and is a deck that really wants to curve out at 6. Will probably test.

My Cubes - The Busted Cube. A fully functional, almost 100% custom cube. The project started out by asking "What if other colors got cards on the power level of Mana Drain,Ancestral Recall, and Time Walk?" Draft and enjoy!
I will test it, but at the same time i am very disapointed on the body for these colors. there a much better 6-drops in cube. still i need to see if hast and the landdestruction option or the fight option can be relevant. It also lack trample... we will see haha:)

6 is really a bit too "low" of a mana cost for a ramp/reanimator strategy and too high for a midrange.
