Looks like a cool black Beater that can be cast for 3 or 4. The deals 1 life to each player can also help agro close out games which is nice. As always in smaller cubes, finding cuts can be difficult and I don't know what I would want to cut for this. the good thing is you can probably justify running it either as a 3 or 4 drop since I can see it being cast for both.
Other things that are worth noting, it does not die to bolt, and with a little bit of work, you can get it to the 5 toughness spot to survive a wildfire. being flying and trample should also help it close out games that have stalled on the board if the +1 damage does not kill your opponent first. On the downside, it can fail the vindicate test.
I've had Gonti in as a fun-of, and I think I'll replace that with this. That's a lot of power and toughness with flample, plus a cool ability, especially because I'm trying to push aristocrats lately.

I'm always down for some aggressive black action. This demon seems pretty nice even on curve as a 4 turn clock, and the four drop black slot is lacking aggressive beaters. For the Spectacle cost you are obviously getting a great deal snd enabling other Bloodthirst or Spectacle cards (if any). I don't know how reliable it will be but getting some damage through on T3 should not be very hard for an aggro deck. I will likely find a space to give it a go.
This feels like a slam dunk for me. I feel like this would be a near miss without the spectacle cost but being able to get out a turn earlier with spectacle pushes into top tier aggro status imo. It's like a good version of that 5/5 demon for 1BB that gave cards to your opponent.
Very good.. I'm always critical of 3+ mana creatures in agro that fail the vindicate test, but these stats are so pushed, it overcomes that imo.
Dodges red removal , does ~5 damage a turn and is effectively impossible to block in the early game... even acts as a fine blocker in rare circumstance (though the life loss matters on the back footing).
I'm trying a midrange experiment with black, so not sure I'll test at the moment, but if I still had black agro in, he'd be an easy test.
He is very good in aggro. Drops early, good stats, has evasion and reach, and it slightly gives an edge on close matches. I just might place it in, and remove Mardu strike Leader or vampire Nighthawk.
Here's a nice little beatstick. Spectacle shouldn't be too hard to pull off in the decks he wants to be in and I really like that he gets damage through without even attacking. 1 + 4 flample on turn 3 is a serious threat. He'll be replacing Abyssal Persecutor for me.
I think the one concern with the spectacle cost is the BB. maybe this is the card which pushes black from being mostly a secondary color in aggro to being more viable as the primary color splashing red or white instead of the other way around

I’m hoping for a promo. Really not a fan of the art. Depending on how often both abilities work out this could be an all star or something that gets cut after a few updates. I’m imagining both will trigger rather frequently. (The +1/+1, and the spectacle cost I mean

I doubt the +1/+1 ability will trigger very often and I don't think that matters. As it stands he's dealing up to five damage per turn, one of which is unblockable. If you never see him get a counter I don't think that detracts from the card.
I feel it's the Spectacle ability that this card is leaning on. At four mana he's fair, but at three mana he's a downright bargoon.
I mostly meant I expect the spectactle to be great, but when I can’t hit spectacle on curve, I really want a 5/5 flying trampler, otherwise why not just run abyssal persecutor.
I have been a staunch defender of Abyssal Persecutor since I created my Cube 5 years ago but Spawn of Mayhem fills the same role, puts your opponent on the same 4 turn clock and has a more palpable downside. The Spawn isn't strictly better but the flexibility of casting it for 3cc, even later in the game to possibly double spell, makes it a much stronger cube card.
If you support black aggro, this is a good creature. Great at 3 mana, playable at 4, and always on-plan. Plus, it shoehorns in a "low life count matters" card, to finally justify all that self damage in black! Will be testing at the very least.

I'll either cut Gonti or Isareth for this.
