This card has nothing to do with Faithless Loothing. This doesn't mean its bad or anything, but but by no mean they are interchangle in a cube that care about graveyard's content. Might test, but not at the expanse of FL.
I’ll be watching constructed to see how well this plays. I think it could have applications in midrange decks as well as aggro decks and I do feel like we may be underestimating spectacle a bit. Wouldn’t be surprised if this gets adopted by many cubes in the coming months.
I agree noshadowkick, I think this card could be the biggest sleeper in the set so far. There have been many times where a card has been put down on here, only to find it be staple status months later. Excited to see how it plays in the coming months of testing.
Ok, so I COMPLETELY missed that it was until the end of your NEXT turn (despite multiple people mentioning it lol), and now am interested in testing it.
Count me in with the “reading is hard” crew. I’m still not quite on board, just because it seems like it will often be hard to find the right window for this. Too early and you risk flipping uncastables, too late and you’re probably better off just with one of Red’s many top-end haymakers.
I have a deck that pops up time to time that could use this. It's a red deck that splashes black or green where all the cards cost 3 or less, mainly because of countryside crusher. It would be super playable in a deck like that, but I really can't see this played outside of aggro. Maybe a storm deck?

Been playing a lot of Runaway Red in constructed and this card is completely insane there. Sufficiently aggressive decks in the cube will probably experience similar results... I think I'm gonna jam this in and see what happens.
Agreed. This card plays much better than it looks. Personally I really enjoy having a "card draw" spell like this for the aggro decks, while still being serviceable in midrange. (As a bonus, you can't strip those cards exiled with Light up the Stage with hand disruption)
In testing it's been a really good use of 1 mana, sometimes you useit to draw gas, and sometimes you use it to find lands when you kept a risky one land hand with LotS in hand. It's a pretty flexible card for this reason, even if it whiffs and fails to find the thing your looking for at the time, (all lands or all gas when you needed the other), it digs for it. It's the ideal turn 3 play after dropping a second 1 drop or 2 mana spell. Love it.
This has been playing nicely in my Modern-Legal Cube, so far. Chandra, Torch of Defiance and Abbot of Keral Keep play really well in any low-curve, aggro deck playing red and this is right up that alley. The spectacle cost is very easy to trigger, especially with all the token-generators red has available, where most opposing decks just can't block all your creatures. This is also "card-draw" that is protected from Thoughtseize and the like, and can go in a deck playing Hazoret the Fervent, allowing you to dig for her, while not hindering her ability to attack. It's even great in a Rakdos aggro deck playing Liliana of the Veil, where when you empty your hand, it's still one-sided discard, while still keeping playable cards in exile.
