Card seems really cool and has some good flexibility at a good cost. At first glance it seems like a good way to turn one of your own creatures into whatever big thing your opponent dropped but that leaves you open to getting 2 for 1'd which is always a risk with enchantments. Another big downside is no ETB trigger.
the better play is enchanting your opponents creatures and making them equal to whatever the worst creature on the board is, that way the 2 for 1 is mitigated. In some cases it can be used like a kill spell if your opponent has more than one creature and one is legendary.
With all the tokens around it shouldnt be too infrequent that a card like goblin rabblemaster, hanweir garrison, or angel of invention, get turned into one of their own tokens. Lots of times where you can turn a ramped out fatty into an elf or break the symmetry of a fairly equal show and tell.
Shrink your opponents best creature to the worst creature on board, get your own copy of the best creature on the board (as long as you have a creature), or kill one of your opponents creatures if they have a legendary is a lot of flexibility for 2 mana.
This does have a pretty high upside and cool uses like being able to hit shrink your opponent’s creatures. Being an aura is a huge liability though and clone effects aren’t exactly essential to any type of strategies. I’d much rather cube Clever Impersonator before this since it is much more flexible, less liability, and has all the synergies of a creature with 2 or less power.
Interesting... At first glance I didn't think of putting it on an opponents good creature to shrink it down.
Makes it a little more versatile than I first thought.. However, it's a pretty bad card unless you have a bunch of creatures your self. Makes it a bit narrow for blue in my cube.
Don't think im gonna test as I think the fail cases will be too numerous, but it could be a sleeper.
I really like this effect. You can upgrade one of your little dudes or downgrade an opponents bomb or something. Still, I don't think this does enough to crack my blue section. If it had flash I'd probably test it because it could be a savage combat trick or EoT play, but as a sorcery speed aura I'm not super interested.
A big part of the reason to run clones in cube is to double Down on CIP effects. Losing that is a big deal and there are enough good clones and removal out there that I don't really see this being good enough.
This is probably fine, but without bunches of creatures on both sides of the board, it just doesn't seem flexible enough. Turning your opponent's big creature into a small one is great and all, but that situation may not even arise. And you can't clone a creature for yourself unless you already have one out, which is a bummer for blue. I'm not convinced this is better than one of the clones-with-upsides we already have.
