It's a pretty decent card, I think. The pseudo-Silence trigger helps to get that first Sphinx's Revelation trigger to happen, which is nice. I think the competition in the section is far too tight for it, but it's certainly not bad.
Love this card for other formats (hoping to build Sphinx tribal EDH someday) but it's outclassed for cube. Azorius is too stacked to crack the top 7-8 cards.
Azor himself is actually pretty strong. Not only does he protect himself from sorcery speed removal, but he disrupts your opponent’s game plan pretty hard if they were banking on an instant or sorcery to advance their game plan. UUWW is too rough of a cost though and Ojutai is more flexible. Your opponent can Wrath Ojutai, but Azor dies to most Nekrataal variants. The fact that Hostage Taker / Chupacabra exist now doesn’t exactly help Azor either.
Your opponent can also just not remove this and continue doing their own, non-instant-and-sorcery gameplan, which for a number of decks will be enough. The silence ability is a bit too inconsistent for my liking, at least when attached to a 6 drop.

Agreed. I'd love to see a full Silence strapped to it instead. It would've gone a lone way towards making this reliable enough to play. As it stands, it just gets Chupacabra'd.
i like the idea of running a big stupid creature in each guild and this guy would be my choice for azorius but i dont have room for a big stupid creature in every guild.
Unlikely to test...I expect it to be worse than sphinx's revelation.
A big sales point to sphinx's revelation is that it can be cast on your opponents end step with counter magic held up, as well it's inability to be disrupted by anything but counter magic.
However, I think this is a very competitive creature, and up there in power with the mid tier cubeable azorious cards.
It's a MUST answer card IMMEDIATLY, and it has an ability that reduces the amount of cards that can answer it.
Outside of a huge play like Upheavel, Sneak attack -> Huge fatty, Craterhoof for a bazillion, it's hard to imagine losing a game with just a single activation of it's ability.
One downside , is compared to some other 6 drop creatures, it's really only good in UW, it can't be splashed in decks trying to cheat creatures into play.. And UW has a lot of solid win conditions around 6 mana.
I'd be extremely surprised if this doesn't see a fair bit of standard play.

Passes Vindicate test but not Terminate test.
Pass. Too expensive, heavy colored casting cost, but most importantly, UW is too stacked.

I think I'd rather play Ojutai in cube than Azor and I don't run Ojutai anymore. Pass for me, though I do like the effects.

Yeah, Rev is a much better and less replaceable card than "another good multicolor 6/6 for 6."
