Reminds me more of a one-sided The Abyss than it does Form of the Dragon. I probably don't have room for this myself, but I can see this being an interesting option in larger cubes or for those who limit planeswalkers and aren't running Chandra, Flamecaller. Thoughts?
Seems fun, but I don't think it's particularly good. I think Form of the Dragon is a better card for decks trying to play that kind of splashy effect. The latter actually protects you from your opponent's threats instead of slowly grinding down your own life total, and also wins the game.
Awesome effect, but I don't think many traditional cubes can afford to run this. Some kind of W/R control with Flickerwisp and Wildfire and such could be fun, but that's pretty narrow.
I could see this being really fun, and actually pretty oppressive, but it requires the right circumstances, and a hefty investment. This is the sort of card I may throw in on a whim if I open it.
It' quite closer to No Mercy than the Abyss, because the destroyed creature will damage you as well.
I agree with the comparisons to Form of the Dragon, the Dragon's Moat (control) and Lava Ave (win condition) abilities are better. While the Dino does not completely control the board nor offer a win con.
