This is interesting to me. A solid body with multiple kill spells attached to it.
It's not a great reanimator target, and getting this countered after investing several mana into it will feel really bad.
I love the flavor of the card, too. The primordial appears and puts fear into its targets. The 'I'm coming for you' idea is neat.
If this is a cycle, it would be neat to see the green one give your own creatures pump and trample, or the red one have haste and give counters that prevent creatures from blocking.
It feels like a bit too much set up to make it more than the base stats, which aren't enough. I don't need too many 6s in black, and I would play Massacre Wurm over this.

Yup. Still prefer Massacre Wurm. The surprise and damage factor of the Wurm far outweigh the benefits that the Dino brings to the table. When are they going to stop giving large black creatures deathtouch and start giving them menace instead. Hell, give'em both.
While I'm not planning to cube this, in reference to the "cycle", there's likely only one cycle of Elder Dinosaurs, and we already know that the green one is Ghalta, Primal Hunger. This card does point to it being a complete cycle and not a Naya cycle, so I think I'm most interested in what the blue and red ones will do, since I'd like to entertain another 6+ drop in those colors if they're strong enough.

Yes. This.
I think this is an interesting card for EDH but looks like crap in cube.
Dont think I want a 3rd black 6 drop unless it was absurdly powerful and this is just solid in cube.
Likely good enough for large creature heavy unpowered cubes.
Massacre wurm is currently my #1 for most underrated card on these forums.
This card seems fantastic to me. Not Grave Titan, but right up there with Massacre Wurm (and I LOVE Massacre Wurm in cube). Just like Wurm, this card is one-sided, unlike Magister of Worth (which is one of my picks for underrated cube cards). There are certainly situations you could draw up where this card falters, but on the whole I think this card brings a whole lot to the table.
It's okay. I like it better than Grave Titan because I hate Grave Titan. Unlike most of you, I'm not afraid of cards that fail the Vindicate test, so I gladly play cards like Nirkana Revenant, Geth, Lord of the Vault, and Visara the Dreadful. This is good enough that it could replace a weaker option, but I'm not clamoring to do so. I'll only include this if I open it.
Also, (and as someone on another thread mentioned) it's really odd that this "primordial death" or however it will be translated is clearly based off of herbivorous species.
Interesting card, but I think it'll miss the cut for most cubes, because it looks like the 3rd best black 6-drop at best (likely lower on the list than that), and I only run one of those at 540.
I'm ramping up to a 720, and this is probably better than Geth, who I was eyeing for my increase. Still not confident this dragon will make it in, but it's possible, for sure.
This post is mostly intended for large cube owners, but I do not think this is better than the fifth best black 6 drop, likely being only 6th (Grave Titan, Massacre Wurm, Noxious Gearhulk and Patron of the Vein are better, with Demon of Dark Schemes being debatable). It is the narrowest, but its powerlevel does not justify the limitations.
Not working with black's reanimation spells is a major setback in this color. In a deck that features even a slight reanimation theme, or Recurring Nightmare, Patron of the Vein just seems better. It does not work with many other cheat effects such as Selvala's Stampede. It is also not a card you will ramp hard into and slam into the board for good results like all others on the list are. That is partially because putting counters on things will slow your ramp. The other part is that the body is not a real win condition you can rely on to finish a game.
It is not even that great of topdeck as it is too mana intensive. Killing two creatures, which is the benchmark for becoming more interesting than Patron of the Vein, requires quadruple black mana. As we know from Griselbrand, that is not an easy thing to do in most two colored decks. I anticipate being forced to split up putting counters on creatures and casting this will be common late game too, simply for not having enough black sources.
This is a cool ability that will not cut it in Cube, I think. I also hate giving away information (I like instants) and thusly suspect I wouldn't really enjoy playing with this card. Doesn't come close in power level to either Grave Titan or Massacre Wurm, the latter being one of the more underrated Cube cards.
Do we think this would too good if the prey counter ability was instant speed instead? I'd be excited about it then and I don't think it'd be busted.
Not for cube, as others have said there are better black 6 drops that have a more immediate effect than this without draining mana and giving your opponent free information.
