So good. Do I really have to cut Reflector Mage? That bites, but this may well be worth it. Fractured Identity is at least the #4 card in the guild and it might be even better than that.
It's a bit too early to be ranking this as the best Azorius card, imo. I don't know that I would run this over Geist or Mage. I also probably wouldn't run it over Verdict, though that would be my testing cut if those were my only three UW cards. I think this slots in easily over Sphere if you're still running that. It's a similar effect, but probably just better. I cut Sphere a while back, so I'll be replacing Spell Queller to give this a shot. This looks really powerful on paper and I'm excited to have such a fun answer in the Azorius guild. This is a story generating card, for sure.
This card is excellent. I have no idea what to cut for it though. I'm not super rigid with my gold slots, so I might just add an extra Azorius card and call it a day.
Card is incredible obv and likely a slam dunk.
I Think this might be #1 or #2 in azorious and the most powerful card printed since the confluence cycle.
I may be overrating it a tad as it does have a couple matchups where it's pretty bad (red Agro).
But man... on some of the bigger monsters with ETB effects it's just stupid.
Take your dragon lord Atarka and do 5 damage divided to all your things?!?
Take your Woodfall primus blowing up your planeswalker.
The only threats where it isn't a devastating swing are on Agro decks that go really wide, burn, or ramp decks focus on wildfire/upheaval for a big finish... and I guess hexproof threats too

So behind that statement! That card is nuts man! So happy we've all those guild slot to juggle with, because this comes in here as a hard Top-3 contender. Man that card is good!
Don't get me wrong, I like this but I get a little bit of the clever impersonator vibe from it. We don't play confiscate at 6, and don't play mind control at 5 and they are both mono colored. Don't get me wrong I know you get the ETB and you can get things other than creatures and it can't be disenchanted but I am guessing that this will get creatures 95%+ and is still someone vulnerable to bounce.
Power level alone I will probably try it but I don't find this kind of card any more exciting than detention sphere (better o-ring) or verdict (better wrath). This is a better control magic, but there is a one mana tax. Cards like geist, dragonlord, mage, brago, venser aren't replaceable in the monocolors. In my cube this card will be taken as an easy splash by someone playing white or blue or 5 color, and will have little to no impact on deck building or drafting of other cards besides being too expensive for aggressive decks.
I also agree that the ratio of creatures to other permanents targeted with this card won't be that far apart. In fact, my friend who sent this card to our group chat for cube discussion did so with the comment of how this is great against planeswalkers. It may snag creatures more often, but I think the split will be closer to 60/40 rather than 95/5.
I think this will get a creature the majority of the time, but it won't be a huge majority. Another big draw here is that it's a sorcery not a enchantment. The opponent can't get their toy back. That's a pretty huge upgrade over most Control Magic variants. The best your opponent can do is destroy the token, likely resulting in card advantage for you. Fractured Identity is pretty sick.
I may cut Verdict for this and shove a 5 mana wrath in white to compensate. Reflector Mage is just so good in the tempo decks, whereas Verdict is there for redundancy.

Yeah for me it is between Supreme Verdict and Reflector Mage and it is a very tough decision. Verdict is almost certainly stronger, but reflector mage's effect is so unique. Also reflector mage works awesome with Venser who I will not cut because I really want to have some support for the blink archetype. I've got Day of Judgment, Wrath of God, and Parallax Wave (not a wrath, but similar) in White and Damnation/Toxic Deluge in Black currently. I feel like that is maybe enough redundancy to cut Verdict?

In a smaller cube, I think Verdict is less important. At 540 I like Verdict more I think.
I think we are likely to include it over Geist, who often runs into things and dies, as good as he is in some board states and matchups. I would cut Verdict first if I ran that.
I think the cut for me will be supreme verdict.
White already has access to board wipes and it would be easier to run a another white board wipe (albeit not as good), but this card will strengthen UW more IMO. Will have to test for sure, but in theory it is what i am thinking.
Card looks amazing. I think this will prove to be the most powerful non-archetype card in the guild, looking forward to seeing it in action (hopefully from the correct side of the table).
I like Spell Queller a lot too, but he's in direct competition with both Geist and Reflector Mage. I'm currently running all three, but I can't justify that with the existence of Fractured Identity. One of them has to go and unfortunately, Queller comes in last place of the three.

Guess I'll cut Detention Sphere for it.
Uril, the Miststalker RGW -- Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre C -- Vhati il-Dal BG -- Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer RW -- Animar, Soul of Elements URG
Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker R -- Maga, Traitor to Mortals B -- Ghave, Guru of Spores BGW -- Sliver Hivelord WUBRG
What's your number 4 then? Reflector Mage, Detention Sphere?
