More last minute spells matters. This is pretty aggressive, mostly immune to sorcery speed removal / sweepers, and gives you a mana sink to Scry if you're just playing draw / go mode. This has potential, I might test this since I've been trying to push Spells Matters a bit with Baral / Thing in the Ice. If any card is the sleeper of the set, I think it's this one (which isn't saying much since HOU is pretty zzzz for cube).
I don't love it, and maybe that's due to my cube composition, but I don't have many decks that want a threat that's kinda inconsistent. Even with the Scry ability it doesn't get there since I feel there are too many games Im playing on my opponent's EOT with blue decks.
Thassa by a trillion miles. They're not even close, especially since Thassa also makes your dudes unblockable. If Thassa is off it doesn't feel like an embarrassment whereas this really can.
This card is fine, but it's certainly not amazing, which doesn't bode well for its cube chances.
The ceiling is a cheap 3/3 flying whenever you want it, which is good, but not spectacular, and the floor is a durdly scry enchantment. A few years ago, I would have been delighted to add this card, but the barrier to entry in my cube has increased since then.

This is way better than Thassa in tempo / spells matters, IMO. Being able to actually swing somewhat consistently while being immune to sorcery speed removal makes this much more aggressive, especially against planeswalkers.
Not really. If you're casting creatures this doesn't turn on, and if you're protecting them with counters it doesn't turn on, so you need to play at sorcery speed with very specific cards in a color that often wants to play at instant speed and due to the nature of its removal must. Maybe in spells matters, but even then I don't feel like I'm being rewarded here. And if they're both off, Thassa really embarrasses this card since it can still force damage through.

This isn't limited to instants / sorceries though, I can easily trigger this with a planeswalker / artifact / enchantment.
I really like this in conjunction with Young Pyromancer / Monastery Mentor.
You're not wrong, but I still don't feel like that's enough. And this isn't even taking into account Thassa's indestructibility, Riddleform dies to a decent amount both in and out of creature form that Thassa would brush off.

This will die dealing more damage than Thasa will by herself.
Another application I just thought of: Upheaval. Very easy to recast this post Upheaval and this will trigger every time you replay a mana rock.
Well no if it dies to the first piece of removal it does not do more damage, and this does die to a number of cards that can't touch Thassa. Rec Sage, Lightning Bolt, black removal, these are real things that Thassa doesn't give a ***** about.

In the average game, this will deal more damage than Thassa ever will. Thassa is a better card filter / late game stall breaker, but this will have a huger damage output since Thassa's devotion requirement is very conditional and near-impossible in certain deck compositions.
What I like most about Riddleform is that it's very difficult for planeswalkers to deal with since Riddleform is immune to most of their removal and planeswalkers are typically vulnerable from the air. Being cheap, immune to your opponent's / your own sweepers, fairly easy to trigger, good stats and evasion, I'm definitely going to give this a test run. I always wanted a more resilient Young Pyromancer / Monastery Mentor variant that doesn't die to sweepers.
These are great ceilings and all, but I think we're playing the rose-tinted glasses game of ignoring the absolutely atrocious floor. Consistently activating it? Not bad. Not consistently activating it? Do-nothing enchantment outside of the expensive scry ability. That's way too swingy for me.

With enough cantrips, might creep up into a clear inclusion.
Not in the market for it at all, but not a bad card... also as cubes get larger, spells matters becomes harder to reach critical density.
Basically, dont think this is cubeable, but don't think you for wasting peoples time with a pointless SCD thread =P
