Aggressive discard outlet with first strike ain't bad at all. I like this more than the 4/3 discard in AKH. Reminds me of Aether Chaser who I like a lot. I might find room for this, can't decide between Archer / Earthshaker / Burning-Fist from this set.
This card seems pretty good. I like how I can turn my lands into pumps, especially since it has First Strike. I also like it more than the 4/3, which I have also liked but haven't been in love with. Has some neat synergies with Squee too, but I probably wouldn't play both of them in the same deck usually. It reminds me of Firedrinker Satyr, a great card, except it feels like what I would ask for/expect when you add a colorless to Satyr. Def going to test, as I think it's better than all the 3/2 variants.
Let us not exaggerate, a 4/3 this is not. I do however like him more than Aether Chaser, the 3/2 variants for 1R and Earthshaker Khenra. It can almost always attack, and even if it requires a few cards, it is a way for mono red to trade with a titan. It is also a good blocker, and a somewhat serviceable discard outlet perhaps. There is a lot to like here.

To be clear, I'm saying that I like this more than Bloodrage Brawler.

I also like it more than the 4/3
Was clarifying exactly which 4/3 we're talking about.
Definitely the most interesting card spoiled today. I like this card and I'm going to try to find a spot for him but I do think I like the 4/3 more. Getting through a 3 toughness blocker or a wall of omens will cost you not only a card but a big tempo loss while the 4/3 just bashes through. Luckily at 630 I have space for both.
I really like this. Threat of activation is very real here: how is your opponent ever making profitable blocks against this? If you have four mana and two cards in hand, you can straight-up eat a titan. And if they don't block, you're still threatening to deal 6.

If your opponent only has one big blocker Burning-Fist looks great. He doesn't look so good against a Sea-Gate Oracle because it will cost you a card and two mana to get through. How many turns can you take off just to kill x/3's. You're actually probably better off not attacking until later when you can threaten big damage or have nothing else to do. Pros and cons.
I'll be delighted to cut some random bunkus aggro card for this: a card that's good in all the same decks, and has a million more applications. This is exactly what I'm talking about when I say I want playable cards with various synergistic nodes. Slam.

Compared to Bloodrage Brawler, I'd rather discard things on my own terms and not open myself to a 2 for 1 on a removal spell. 2/1 first strike is already a good place to start, and can do a good amount of damage on just one activation. He plays well with equipment and can make use of any dead draws. The fact that he's a discard outlet is a nice bonus, but I think his main role will be the beatdown first, discard outlet second. Heir of Falkenrath is more of a discard outlet first, beater second.
Not exactly the red Wild Mongrel a lot of us have been asking for, but I'll take him over any other fringe 3/2 beater with no special abilities.
Wow this is a fantastic creature and I'm stoked to test this in my cube. Not sure if this will be tested in addition to Earthshaler Kehnra or instead of, but I think this is clearly the better of the two for cube.
I'm pretty happy to see this. Not sure how long it'll last, as the activation cost is a bit steep, but so is Pack Rat's.

I ain't saying that. Card does seem ok, but it's a miss for us.

Decent card. Two mana per activation is a lot. Makes it less suited for early reanimation. I wonder if I want this over Bloodrage Brawler or not.

Yeah but if this gets bolted in response I lose 2 cards; if pack rat does, I still have pack rat 2.0. Apples and oranges.
