I've been tinkering with cutting Ral Zarek, since I feel like I'm at planeswalker saturation and it isn't particularly interesting. Been waiting for a good cards for the spells decks. Is this it? Seems better than Stormchase Mage. That recursion is real and keeps it relevant into the late game. But even buying back a Ponder or Firebolt seems great.
With flash or haste, this would've been awesome. As is, it still seems like the best UR prowess-type creature.
I can't say I'm pleased to see you and must warn you I may have to do something about it.

Interesting Izzet creature. Reasonably costed body that recurs spells and triggers with prowess. I can see myself testing this over Fire // Ice to see how powerful the spell recursion is.
It's interesting, but I wish it just put it in my hand. I'm going to wait to hear results from people who do try it, as in theory it doesn't impress me more than a lot of the other Izzet options. I feel like I have plenty of options that I could run two separate 4-5 card izzet sections and have neither be embarrassing.
I just added Enigma Drake, and I feel like it hasn't had enough time to properly test. I feel like this is a step sideways, and I'd like to give the drake a little time before I add another card in the same slot.
I still prefer Mercurial Geists or Wee Dragonauts to this, as the damage they represent is much more impressive. The potential recursion is cool, but the top of the library is never where I want recursion. It does work nicely with cheap card advantage spells like Brainstorm, as you get the card you would have drawn anyway.
This is fine, but it turns out Izzet has quite a few cards in this slot, and an argument could be made for any of them.

If I had a recall or time walk I'd snap this up hard in the draft and probably play it in any deck that could reasonably cast it.
Also reasonable 22nd playable in izzet tempo shells without power.
Do I want to use an izzet slot for that? Maybe... might test
