Creature - Hellion
When Maw of Chaos enters the battlefield, deal 3 damage to each other creature.
6/6
I know people like Crater Hellion and this seems like it could be better without the echo cost. I'd probably be interested in it myself if I weren't running Bosh for Tinker support.
Like you, I'd probably run this or something like it if I didn't need Bosh for Tinker support. Makes me all the more upset that they missed an opportunity to print a good giant robot in Kaladesh, which would allow us to at least consider this or any other big red creatures.
I can't say I'm pleased to see you and must warn you I may have to do something about it.

Yeah, for 7 mana, this is a bit lackluster for cube. It needed another keyword, a cheaper cost, to sweep for four instead of three, or even all of the above to compete for a spot in cube. I think I'd rather just run Bogardan Hellkite if I was looking to include another non-Bosh big red finisher dude.
I also like this much better than Crater Hellion because of the lack of echo, and because it flies. Ramp and reanimator decks dip into red often enough that I rather like the idea of having a high end creature in addition to Inferno Titan. Seems like a fantastic Sneak Attack target, too. I have no idea what to cut for this, but I'd like to test it.

I don't read Russian, but I'm pretty sure this doesn't fly.
You're right, but the art certainly looks like it should! OK, I like this a lot less now, but its ETB effect still makes it a lot less likely to be chump blocked.

I'd rather deal 4 damage on turn 6 than three damage on turn 7 in my cube games.
This is probably going to get cheated into play half the time, so I'd rather pay 1-4 mana for my Reanimate / Oath of Druids / Show and Tell / Eureka and not have to pay the 4RR echo cost before I even have a chance to swing with it.
Crater Hellion is huge tempo loss when you're paying full price for it.
I run Bogarden Hellkite and I've always been happy with it. Certainly like it a lot more than this guy. Hellkite has found homes in reanimator, ramp and he's excellent in slower multiplayer/two headed dragon games. Five spreadable damage is serious business.
I was running Hellkite until I started running the artifact deck and replaced it with Bosh.
Now that I think about it, I totally forgot that Thunder Dragon exists. Thunder Dragon having flying is relevant but Maw being able to hit flyers and trade with a Titan sized creature is also valuable.
Meh. This really doesn't seem that remarkable. I didn't remember Thunder Dragon exactly, but I knew there were other things that did this. This seems like a fine, but replaceable seven drop. I'll probably let it slip by.
Would this doing 4 damage have been too pushed? I still run Crater Hellion but he is gone as soon as I find something I like more (suggestions welcomed) so I don't think I want a more expensive version that does less damage. When I play Crater Hellion it's often as a sweeper with upside, this only doing 4 leaves too many things alive.
Ah yes, Thunder Dragon, making this guy looking pretty underwhelming at this point.
EDIT: Actually this guy is probably better than the dragon? There really aren't many fliers in red this kills, while it misses a whole bunch in other colors.
I definitely like Crater Hellion better, as when you're actually casting one of these guys (I agree Maw of Chaos seems better when cheated in) both the difference between six and seven mana and the difference between three and four damage is huge. Hitting that seventh land will likely take multiple extra turns after hitting your sixth - unless you're ramping of course. And four damage is perfect; three doesn't always get everything you want it too, and four fits with all the Wildfire creatures too.
This guy is actually pretty bad in HOU limited (and forget cube) given that eternalize is going to be around. All the 4/4 super zombies take your 3 damage and laugh.
