Love this. The question for me is: does it replace Relic Seeker or Accorder Paladin?

I can't say I'm pleased to see you and must warn you I may have to do something about it.

Testing this over Relic Seeker which has been pretty disappointing for us. Wow this creature is a monster. At 540 my white 2 drop filler creatures are finally dissapearing.
This is clearly a crad that wants to be turned sideways pretty frequently, but I felt like it's worth mentioning that Exert is a very awkward mechanic when it comes to blocks since you can exert a creature, OP plays a creature, yours doesn't untap, they swing in. I feel like this card makes it past there, but I like thinking of this card as almost unable to block since you can't easily plan when you'll need it back to block if the 3/1 isn't enough to get through and you decide to exert it
The lifelink helps mitigate potential disruption to your blocking, and then immediately leaves the opponent open to another 4-power lifelink crackback. That's what I love about this creature's design. Can't attack because it's an X/1? It can attack with 4 toughness. Only attacks every other turn? Make your 2-drop swing for 4. Vulnerable on defense after exerting? It gains lifelink. All those options mitigate its shortcomings. And it always has the ability to get in for 3 when the board allows it. I think it's a good deal for 1W.
Regardless of Restoration Specialist, still currently in testing process, Soltari Trooper is cut-A for our playgroup. Relic Seeker would be cut-B if we ended up missing the shadow dude. Imposing Sovereign would litterally be like cut-E or cut-F.
Totally agree with the overall balancing of the abilities, this seems great. Can anyone share opinions on an Imposing Sovereign cut? I would love to keep Accorder Paladin instead. I already have Thalia 2, but redundancy is good.
Sovereign is better in the matchup against midrange. I think Initiate is best in the aggro mirror and against control. So it depends on what matchups you're trying to shore up. Generally, aggro has a hard time against midrange, which is why Sovereign is so solid. But if there's more matchups against other aggressive decks, I could see maybe slotting in Initiate over it.

Looking at your cube, I'd keep both the 2-drop creatures and cut either Journey to Nowhere or Spear of Heliod. I run 90 more cards than you do, and I'm not running Journey, so that would be my first choice of a cut.
Got it. Sad to say my most recent memory was my Journey swiftly solving a Wurmcoil problem... but it might be time.
Let me say one more time that I love this card. It has 2 modes. It can transform, and that is sick. Also, that transformation is incredibly clean, "easy" to remember, easy to switch on. Cube can offer such an interesting mashup of mechanics, but something as smooth as exert is very welcome here.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm thinking. This seems like a pretty good card for white aggro.
