Heart of Kiran 2
Legendary Artifact - Vehicle Mythic
Flying, Vigilance
Crew 3
You may remove a loyalty counter from a planeswalker you control rather than pay ~'s crew cost.
4/4
This thing is a planeswaler killer!! 2CMC flying/vigilance 4/4??
I absolutely love this card for so many reasons. Good in control, good in midrange, not terrible in agro.
I this will be a chase mythic, and I am glad they are continuing to push vehicles.
Doesn't interest me. Crew 3 is a lot for basically 1 extra power, and the Vigilance doesn't do much of anything on a card with a crew cost that high. Easy pass for me.
It's not as good as the looter scooter but i think this is a serviceable beatdown card. If you're using creatures to crew this, it really isn't even that good as your only getting +1 power out if it. The real power of this card is the ability to use planeswalker loyalty to crew. Which I think is awesome in both its power and its creativeness. By using a planeswalkers plus ability, then using a loyalty counter to crew this, you're essentially just adding an attacker or blocker to the battlefield. And having vigilance this will help you protect that planeswalker from incoming attacks too. Definitely test worthy and probably 540+ material.
It makes for a nice alternative cost, but I think it's too narrow in this format. That particular aspect of the card will work well in some constructed decks though.
It'll be a pretty decent beater in superfriends shells though.
But at face value, the crew 3 really hurts the value.
Vigilance hardly matters when this thing has Crew 3. Crew to power ratio is pretty poor, the only saving grace for this card is the 2-cmc cost and alternate crew cost. If you're super heavy on PWers, it's probably worth testing maybe. I'm not too interested at 540, even with a slightly above average PW count.
I like Renegade Freighter more than this card, but this does give me hope for more vehicles with alternate crew costs.
I like the card a lot in agro/midrange planeswalker heavy builds (3 minimum if combined with creatures), but think that's too narrow to justify a slot.
Especially since I feel well-satured with equipment/vehicles at the moment and they compete for deck building slots.
The crew 3 is too much to justify outside of builds with planeswalkers...
In a super friends deck with tons of planeswalkers that make tokens this card seems very very strong fwiw.
A 5th point of power (w/ evasion) would go a long way towards making it viable. At 4 power, it's just not that much bigger than the crew cost you're tapping to activate it.
I expect this to play kind of funky. There are going to be games where you curve out with this and beefy creatures and completely bowl your opponent over, games where you land it with a planeswalker and really be satisfied with your 2 mana Serra Angel, and games where this is just a stone blank. It's some really high variance, and there's definitely a limited number of decks I'd play this in.

And cubes are filled with this type of archytpical card. In the right deck Heart of Kiran can beat down in the air for 4 while protecting your best card on the battlefield. Remember, this is a generic mana two(!) drop. The fact that it even can take over a game is pretty amazing. I agree with LucidVision's assessment where in a deck with 3+ planeswalkers this guy should definitely see play.
I also like the new creative aspect of the card where players can now use loyalty counters in a whole new way. Koth of the Hammer can now swing for 8, planeswalkers can now use there + ability and have protection up and a +2 loyalty walker becomes even more valuable compared to a +1 as you can swing and defend with Heart of Kiran without a loss of loyalty. Obviously this cards not for everyone but I for one am excited to test it for a while.
Crew 3 for a 4/4 is not enough above curve, even for 2 mana with evasion, and the PW interaction is too narrow in cube to make up for the base version not being good enough.
In a format as full of pikers and bears as the average cube, crew 3 seems like a dealbreaker for almost anything.

I think this format is where the alternative cost will be used the most. Its a cool design and having cards like jace beleren, that can let this attack and block while still doing something for you seems really neat, that being said, I still think smugglers copter is stronger so I dont think I'll test this unless i pull one.
No one is going to play this for Crew 3. In a superfriends deck this seems very strong, and that decks pops up regularly here. Probably still too narrow for cube, but will become less and less so as the number of planeswalkers is getting a bit higher with time

Crew 2 4/4 is that more playable?
What about Crew 3 5/5?
Lifelink would have been cool....

Also, vigilance on a vehicle is bad, as you have to crew it again to block.
It is quite good if you look at it as a planeswalker buddy, but in cube it is too narrow.
Cheers,
