On curve he will deal 9 damage in the next two turns. If you don't have full 4cc and 5cc cards, use instants to circumvent the "first spell" rule. X spells like Earthquake or Mind Twist also maximize the damage, as well as alternate cost (mentioned earlier) like Fireblast, Snuff out or Shriekmaw.
Cool, after posting in another thread about being disappointed I'm happy to be wrong. This guy looks like a lot doesn't even care about creature/non creature or who's turn it is. It's also a 2/3, that surprised me a lot for some reason, I would have expected it to be smaller.
I suppose the downside is he can do anything the turn he comes in, but just save that instant speed burn or kill spell for their turn.
In colour he has tasigar, shriekmaw, snuff out, greater gargadon etc. as ways to abuse the trigger. He also staples a fireball to any X spell.
I like this card, but I'm not sure it makes the cut over the competition anymore. Black and red 3s are pretty deep and powerful now too, and I'm just not sure he's needed.

I love that it says first spell on each turn. Turn 4 hellrider for a million, still alive? Fireblast for 10 on your upkeep. Or you have counterspells for my direct damage, too bad... it is a cast trigger.
Nice little creature. With a name like vial smasher I thought it would have an etb destroy target artifact as well, but I am greedy.
Cast this turn 3, turn 4 play land, float 4 mana, sac 2 mountains for Fireblast then cast Fiery Confluence for 16 damage all together.
I like this guy but Rakdos is too packed now with Daretti and K-Command at the same cost.
Or you could Confluence your turn and upkeep the Fireblast for exactly 20. This is pretty interesting, but as others have said the competition is very tough. Will probably at least test it.

I primarily play limited, so most of my spoiler season comments view cards through that lens.

Where does this rank compared to other Rakdos cards? I like it, but Rakdos is deep AF.
Looks to be worse than the four I'm running (Dreadbore, KoCommand, Cackler and Daretti), but I like her more than anything else in that combination. She reminds me of Sin Prodder without evasion.
If I were to test her, I'd take Dreadbore out - only because it is the least unique effect on the guild.
I'm running Murderous Redcap as support for Pox decks right now, but this seems better. Question is, is a section with Cackler, Daretti, Command, and this too heavy on 3s, like Gruul can be with 4s? But then I guess this and Daretti go into wildly different decks.
Anyway, I want to try this guy out.

I can't say I'm pleased to see you and must warn you I may have to do something about it.

Another example of people overrating a 3+ mana creature that has no/minimal board impact until your next turn.
(Necro discussion on sin prodder/Yasova SCD)
At least with this guy there is the rare brew where his upside is nuts. (Lots of instant speed plays + delve/alternate casting cost).
If there were other cards printed that incentivized building around "anti-dark confidant" Agro decks, this guy would appeal to me more.
Certainly fine, maybe worth exploring in a large cube for variety but lots of people overrating IMO. Slot is very competitive (rakdos + 3 drop in R/B)
This guy looks like an aggro curve-topper, but he probably works best in some sort of Grixis tempo with big Delve cards, counters and FoW. I'm interested but not enough to test it. Olivia would be the cut, but I like Olivia quite a lot, so nope.

If people test this and tell me it's as good as Yasova, then I might have to try it after all - that card has been consistently super annoying to face.
Yasova is great and sin prodded is good, if this is the same, I'm definitely in. As it stands I think this is a really flexible card that can fit in every rakdos deck I want to make.
Aggro, he swings without swinging every time, I think he's fine there.
Burn, with chesty burn he can be really good.
Control/spells matter/ counterburn all would be happy with a three mana win condition that rewards you for playing spells on both players turns.
Jund would be ecstatic to play BBE after this
Grixis artifacts has no problem dropping a finisher the turn after they play this.
I have a hard time believing this card isn't a shoe in. He provides great reach and is sick when curving out. I'm just imagining him on 3 and then hero of oxid ridge or hellrider on turn 4 lol.

Competition, Kolaghan's Command / Daretti 2.0 are much more flexible than this card.
Seems to me that this guy could put out some serious damage in a 1v1 environment like cube. Is he test worthy?
She's almost certainly making it into my cube, but the question is whether it'll be as a solo commander or paired.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
She gives a hell of a lot of reach to your normal burn / aggro game, though. Could be fun but I doubt it's a top 3 Rakdos card for me.
