Not the worst 2 drop. Thoughts?

Solid in environments (like KLD) with tons of expendable artifacts lying around. I don't see this doing great work in cube though. Also, black all of a sudden is stacked at the 2 drop slot and I don't think this competes very well. Too narrow.

Good but not good enough with the influx of good black two's over the last couple of sets. He could be a bomb in kaladesh limited though with all the thopters and servos running around.

I agree, it would be great in an Artifact Cube, too narrow for regular cubes.

I don't know if I like it as much as Asylum Visitor or Heir of Falkenrath. Maybe its better than Pale Rider of Trostad but idk. If SOI didn't happen, I feel like this would be a slam dunk. Not sure I can make room for it now.

The 3 toughness on PRoT is massive. It makes it very hard to deal with blocking in the early game, whereas 3/1's die in combat readily. This card doesn't get there for me, though I appreciate the effort.

At 720 I will probably run this guy.

That card would be insane and is not at all a reasonable expectation, and I would absolutely love it to death too

Same problem as the Nerd Ape and the 3/2 Engineer ...aggro decks don't have enough artifacts, and the artifact.dec doesn't want aggro beaters.

If you have a very heavy artifact theme, this guy could be golden. I don't so he would probably underperform severely in my cube. Strong, but far too narrow for cube applications.

It does kind of a cute impression of Arcbound Ravager, but artifact aggro in black is something I've never seen attempted in a cube environment. I doubt that this is the piece that gets somebody to try it, although I would love to see some Disciple of the Vault shenanigans.

In stacks decks you do have the odd artifact out sometimes and even a few you want to be able to sacrifice (Tangle Wire, Winter Orb, Smokestack, Hangarback Walker...). This is still not nearly as good as Asylum Visitor. However, black two drops after the top 10 or so become really embarrassing and this will easily enter my cube.

I like the uncommon 3/1 (Embraal Bruiser) more than this. At least that one turns on with only a single artifact on your side and you get a relevant bonus without spending mana or having to sacrifice your artifact(s).

Maybe we should make a thread for that one?
