Do you value 'Draw a card' over the ability to select between 4 from an opponent's deck? (Dismissing the +1 toughness and deathtouch)
Probably. If you read my above comment, it's roughly the equivalent of a Sleight of Hand, but maybe even closer to a simple cantrip. You can't get lands, so it'll likely never really be a choice from 4 cards. And you probably have cards in their deck that you either don't want, don't need, or can't cast. So ya, drawing a card from your own deck is probably just as good as his trigger.
It's not hyperbolic to think they aren't close. I didn't claim that "expressing a strong opinion about something" was why it was hyperbolic.
"Miles" is hyperbole, a word which I was using to mean "hyperbole" and not "something I disagree with."
Oh, so 'miles better' is hyperbolic. Right. Want about 'very'? 'Extremely'? 'Rather'? 'Somewhat'? If you want to come up with a list of authorised adjectives, which are somehow not hyperbole by the individual subjective opinion of any given forum member, then I wish you luck in that endeavour.
I know I'm being incredibly (is that one OK?) facetious in order to make a point, but really saying something is 'miles better' is pretty mild in terms of language. Plus, it's a positive affirmation. I personally try to avoid saying that a card is really terrible, particularly if I see someone defending or enjoying it.
I love ETB-effects and this is a cool one for sure. I think the strength of this particular ETB-effect depends a lot on your cube, for example the available archetypes (the effect is not really helpful against pure aggro decks), the support for ETB-abuse (stuff like Whip of Erebos, Undying Evil, Mimic Vat, Erratic Portal, etc...) and the speed and overall power level.
My cube is casual, non-powered and mostly midrange focussed. I will not regret testing the Lord of Luxury.
As a side note: Did you know, that you can study "Masters of Science in Luxury Management" in Monaco? Therefore I am 99% convinced that Gonti studied this very useful and important subject in Monaco!

On spoiled card wishlisting and 'should-have-had'-isms:
