Holy cow, spoilers just keep rolling in and this one is not total jank. It does a couple things really well that artifact decks always want to be doing: protecting your stuff and drawing cards. I really like both of these effects and I think in a dedicated artifact deck you are probably guaranteed to be drawing cards. All that said, it's a 4 drop and 4 drops in blue are so hard to break into. Thoughts?
I think this looks really weak. Even in a dedicated artifact deck, the abilities are either low-impact or inconsistent. And 1 power for 4 mana is kinda weak. I'd much rather play Thopter Spy Network in this same slot. It shines in the same deck, has a higher ceiling and is more resilient.
1/4 that maybe draws a card every turn is meh, the hexproof ability doesn't seem that necessary. Blue 4-cmc spells / creatures are super stacked, this can't compete.
This is disappointing. I know the EDH crowd was hoping for a U/R artifact legend from this character, but that would have been potentially good for cubes too. It's far from unplayable - the hexproof is nice, although Leonin Abunas is far from tearing it up in the cube scene - but the conditional card draw seems a bit lackluster from a four drop when combined with the low stats.
The flavor text comment is perhaps a bit extreme. Many cubes have a plethora of nasty artifacts, making that artifact removal clutch. To prevent removal on a key equipment/whatever Seems sometimes coo'.
