From a flavor perspective, I'm not sure how one would recruit a wall though.
Recruiter: "Hey, you're a great wall, one of the best. Would you want to fight in an upcoming battle with me?"
Wall:"..."
It doesn't say anything because it's a WALL!

Imperial Recruiter has proved that it can be done!
I find this card funny from a financial perspective. Despite being way better in cube and probably EDH, Imperial Recruiter still costs way more because of Legacy: Red has access to Blood Moon / Magus of the Moon / REB, and Recruiter of the Guard can't search for Painter's Servant, haha.
Recruiter costs more mainly because it was printed in english in a set w/o a wide print run. Recruiter would prob be a lot cheaper if it was printed in a bigger set.
Imperial gets more targets, and I think better targets than Guard, but (at least in my cube) this effect is better positioned in white than in red. I'd play this for sure if the white 3 slot weren't so crowded.

It'll likely still be more just on rarity, this may give D&T a shot in the arm.
I'm really liking it for cube, in my white section, it's pretty much the same for targets (Imperial can get Wall of Omens, new Recruiter can get Thalia, Heretic Cathar.)
Straight from SCG spoiled by Gerry T, this card HAS to be good for Cube, right?

These are the ones from my cube that this hits that Imperial Recruiter misses.

I used to write cube articles on StarCityGames, now for GatheringMagic and podcast about cube (w/Antknee42.)
Now if there was only a way to make the opponent pay the mana for it...
