I only run 9 Zombies and Gravecrawler still does fine...
This guy is ...not very good. I mean, I need other Warriors on the board before this becomes better than Vampire Interloper.
But this guy can block, is a human in addition to being a warrior, has a second point of toughness, and may actually have a second warrior out sometime. So I think there is a fair chance this is better than the Vampire.
I was being a little glib with Gravecrawler as that is amazing, but it has to be, as black gets amazing one drops. The 2s are stinky and this guy might just be slightly less stinky for while until I get something really pretty in that slot.
For reference I do run human tribal, don't like shadow guys, and am not too excited about morphs.

I would try the new megamorphs, the evasion on them is no joke actually. They can be awkward to block.

I am going to try them based on advice here. My group is just not that into the mechanic in general so I wont be moving to a them with them. (Unless is starts changing minds)

Gravecrawler is a 2-power 1-drop on its own. This guy is ...not very good. I mean, I need other Warriors on the board before this becomes better than Vampire Interloper.
Like, if Gravecrawler couldn't even recur itself, it would still be better than half the 1-drops in black. This card is arguably worse than other cards that are typically excluded from medium-sized cubes.
Vampire Interloper has 1 toughness and can't block. I think it's better than Interloper even without the last ability, and that hypothetical card would also make it into large cubes that support black aggro. Probably still not going into mid-sized cubes though.
The second toughness doesn't matter much when it has to be blocked by 2 creatures, and flying is a better form of evasion ...especially with all the additional token support the cube has gotten. So I think that this card and the Interloper are at least even (if not edged towards the flying creature) unless you're boosting up multiple other warriors. And Interloper isn't a card that really interests me. This card just seems really subpar by cube standards.

Not to belabor the point but tokens are precisely why I like a second point of toughness on a two drop. The interloper dies to a lingering souls token. This guy can block and kill a token. And don't get me started on how good dividable burn has become as I keep pushing aggro more. My group is starting to feel red is a little too good (when it isn't overdrafted). I am trying to encourage more orzhov aggro.
And no question, subpar, but until my black two slot is filled with 6-8 cards on the level of Dark Confidant, Blood Ghast and Pack Rat, I will keep tinkering.
