Better than Telling Time probably, slightly worse Impulse? Impulse feels like a staple to me, but I really like Instant Speed Draw so I could be overvaluing it. At what size does this become a card? At 465 I'm not quite sure on it.

Ill play it at 720, I doubt there is room at less than 500.

Impulse is already just good, not great. Going from digging 4 to digging 3 makes this way, way worse, and it being instant speed doesn't make up for how much worse it is than ponder and preordain. Also not sure it's any better than telling time (it's better in digging for specific cards, possibly worse if you just want filtering as seeing 2 cards you want in the 3 is horrible), so if you weren't playing that already I don't think you need to bother with this. I agree in cubes that are like 600+ there is probably enough room for effects like this that you want it, not anything smaller though.

Telling Time and Strategic Planning have been in and out of my cube every time I test and I think this will join them. It's a card I'd love to cube, but at 500, it's hard to justify even over an Opportunity.

I'd probably play this if it were an instant Strategic Planning. Without the graveyard interaction I don't think its special. Large or starter cubes.

Damn. This card was so close to being good enough. One mana cheaper and it would have been a slam dunk.

It would've been broken at 1 mana. A functional reprint of Impulse would've been sweet. But a worse Impulse? Maybe 720?

Ya this is fringe for my cube at 720. Ill probably give it a run. All blue cantrips I have put in have been maindecked more often than not.

Its common! So an autoinclude in my modern pauper cube.
In my Unpowered450 however, it won't get in. Probably in larger cubes.

I think this card is being pretty heavily overrated here. It's about as good as Telling Time, so I don't think that it's really good enough barring really large cubes. 720 is a lot tighter than people seem to realise.

Fun Game: Better or worse than portent?

I like it more than Portent. It gives me a card now, and allows me to take good cards and tuck bad ones.

(Spoiler: Being a strictly worse Impulse unfortunately means this card is just filler. There are much better options out there.)
