A significant upgrade to Expedition Map and Sylvan Scrying, it's a Traveler's Amulet that can search for any land, not just basics. This is a great card in artifact decks with Urza's Saga and/or Tolarian Academy and probably worth playing in decks that rely on other very powerful lands like Karakas or Gaea's Cradle, or decks with Crucible of Worlds-effects and Wasteland / Strip Mine. It's also decent as a mana fixer in 4-to-5 color decks, as it's cheap, doesn't cost any coloured mana and can search for duals, triomes and utility lands alike.
I've been on the fence of including expedition map and sylvan scrying, but felt they are just a littttle too overcosted (or restricted, in the case of sylan scrying). They need a very specific deck and even then, the cost makes them fine but not insane.
I'd slam this into any gaae's cradle/tolarian academy/strip mine deck, many library of alexandria/urza's saga decks too.
Might even revisit the dark depths package
did this really have to be acorn or is it for power level reasons?
Art isn't a thing that black border cares about. Specifically, in non-Singleton formats, this lets you grab an unmatching art of a land you already control if you run mismatched versions of cards.

I'll definitely give this a shot. Seems like the cheapest they can do this effect so it's worth testing just to see if this effect is something my cube wants.
I have unique art on all my basics aswell, so this really is just a straight up land tutor.
It being 1 CMC is nice as well because I'm trying to add a bit of an artifact deck.
Funny that this is less powerful for folks with identical basics. My basics are singleton and I try to support loam strategies, so I'm stoked for the potential here. If this isn't good enough right now, it'll just get better every year.
Of all non-vintage legal cards, this one is my favourite.
It’s power level isn’t egregious, but it’s high. It significantly increases consistency of decks built around the broken cube lands.
It’s a mid pick and an auto include for any 360+ vintage cube power level IF you are willing to break vintage legal restriction.

Draft my cube! (630 cards)
Oh, I totally missed the word "art" in there

Referencing art is likely out of the realm of what they want as part of the game. It breaks the 3rd wall.
That being said, expedition map already sees legacy play and this is much better, so...

This is still the best place for high-power-level cube chat & debate.
Here's to many more years at MTGS *clink*
Do people use a single art per land type for their whole cube? That blows my mind in a weird way.
