Am I the only one to think that this card is just a tad overrated? Don't get me wrong, it's going in my cube for sure, most likely for Beast within, but there is an aspect of the card that worries me.
But then again, it's a freaking forest so none of this really matters if you look at it as a land, which it is. And the interactions with wrenn, loam and regrowth effects will probably make this card insane regardless.
You just answered your own question there. I don't think it's overrated in the sense that it's a high pick in the draft, but the utility is just insane. There's already precedence in this effect with the drawback Assassin's Trophy / Path to Exile, which see a ton of cube play, so I don't see any reason why this wouldn't see just as much action as those since this can always rely on its Forest mode.
Love the whole cycle for cube, but as other have said this one is probably the best of the bunch. Can't wait to try it.
Only issue is most artifacts and lands worth destroying in cube are worth destroying because they make mana, which this doesn't typically stifle. Still good against thran dynamos and hedron archives and a whole bunch of other stuff, but reclamation sage has like 65-70 good targets in our cube, meanwhile this has like something down closer 50, a bunch of which are manlands which are typically a little worse vs green since games with green decks tend to go a little shorter.
