I'm trying to build a cube with some tribal archetypes. About how many actual tribal enablers (i.e. things that care about cards being of that tribe) does a tribe need to have a buildable archetype in cube?
I wish there was a magic number for these kinds of questions, but there are simply too many variables. How many cards is the cube, how many average drafters do you have, what percentage of the pool appears in the average draft, how many of the support cards are playable on their own, how many of the cards are playable in multiple non-tribal decks, how do the drafting tendencies of the playgroup influence the cards in question being taken, etc., etc... The only way to answer this question is to tinker with the numbers in your specific playgroup until the deck is successful but not overly supported. Sorry there's no easy answer, but any number that gets thrown out there without the context of your cube/group is going to be wrong.
I've written an article about the Minimum Number of Enablers required to support each archetype - You can probably base your cube's original tribal support based a similar calculations and tune it from that point.

Good point. I'm personally going for a 360 card cube to be drafted by 6-8 people. I've been trying to do 6-8 enablers per tribe (on the higher end if some of those aren't also of the tribe itself)
Just trying to figure out if i'm in close to the right space.
