This card is interesting. It misses lands, most artifacts. Only hits about 55 % of planeswalkers.
The Comparison would be anguished unmaking. It is 1 mana cheaper and doesn't cost 1 life. But it misses artifacts and a decent amount of important high impact cards.
My cube doesn't run any multi-color noncreature permanents, and only 15 multi-color creatures, so this is a slamdunk for me. Might be a more difficult decision for other cubes. Still an incredible spell.
This is pretty strong and compares most to Abrupt Decay. Abrupt Decay is more disruptive early game since it can take out mana rocks (especially in powered cubes), but this generally scales better late game. Not being able to hit Skullclamp / Jitte / Oko / etc hurts, but this exiling most creatures and planeswalkers is really nice.
In lower powered cubes that don't have to worry about Moxen / Oko / Jitte / Skullclamp / etc, this gets a lot better (assuming your multicolored section isn't huge). In my cube, Abrupt Decay has about 100-ish misses while this has about 90-ish misses. Not sure if I like this more than Vindicate / Anguished Unmaking, but I think this is definitely in the top 3 Orzhov removal spells.
This card misses 86ish nonland permanent cards in my 540. This hits around 75% of all nonland permanents in my Cube.
I feel like this is a must play in my Cube for 2 mana at instant speed.
Vindicate, Lingering Souls, Sorin LOI and Lurrus will be my BW section along with this card. Cutting Anguished Unmaking for this. Unsure if that's right but there are so many 3 mana O Ring style effects that I feel like this card is more needed.
This card hits ~180 cards in my cube. By comparison, Abrade hits ~200 cards and Abrupt Decay hits ~190 cards. This is a very efficient removal spell, but it has less overall targets and misses a handful of really premium targets in my cube in comparison to other 2cc instant-speed removal.
Good card though; I could see a lot of sections including this piece of removal. After cards like Vinicate, Lingering Souls and maybe OG Sorin, there aren't a ton of amazing options. I like this a lot more than Anguished Unmaking, for example.
There's a bit of a vacuum after Orzhov's top 3, but I'm not convinced this is the card to fill it. This is most reminiscent of Ultimate Price, a card that hasn't been in contention for years. In exchange for requiring W to cast, Vanishing Verse gets the ability to remove mono-colored enchantments (which is nearly all of them) and planeswalkers, plus it exiles which is a nice little bonus. It's a substantial upgrade, and if you're looking for more answers to those specific targets, then the card is shoo-in. But this card can't hit the most problematic planeswalkers, and I don't feel the need for more enchantment removal, so I'll be keeping it sidelined.
For me that 1 mana makes a huge difference. Especially since I am powered and this being able to kill a 4 mana walker or stud creature when on the draw turn 2 is huge.
I really think this will be the best non Vindicate BW option for my Cube. I'll be curious if not hitting artifacts and guild cards will be enough to hold it back.
I like Anguished Unmaking but being able to curve out with 2 drop removal spell into 3 drop creature is very exciting to me.
125 targets for Fracture.
193 targets for Vanishing Verse.
280 targets for Anguished Unmaking.
339 targets for Vindicate.
In my 450 cube. All this removal has me considering adding Anguished Unmaking tbh. Losing out on about 90 targets for 1 less mana and 3 life.
Without looking, I guess most will have similar stats.
Factor in that artifacts will
Be drafted more frequently, and multicolor cards tend to be high impact (planeswalkers at the least), I might still want Anguished Unmaking.
This is a decent card depending on your cube composition. Potential cheaper Anguished Unmaking if the downside is not too much.
The card is definitely very efficient, but I can’t stop thinking about how it doesn’t kill Oko, Wrenn, Teferi, Dack, Kitchen Finks, Psychatog, etc. These are the cards I think of when I apply more broad removal a la Bloodchief’s Thirst. And if a card is going to take up a slot as broad removal, it needs to actually remove the worst offenders.
I wouldn’t feel happy running this next to vindicate, and it’s definitely not better, since Vindicate is sometimes just Stone Rain. I think it’s a pass for me, but it’s certainly playable at 450.
This card is good and I won't blame anyone for running it, but I am thin on gold slots and I won't be running more than one removal piece in a guild and this doesn't beat vindicate. I have a hard time spending a gold slot when white and black have amazing removal as it is.

Exile target monocolored permanent.
Wow, how did Silverquill end up with two WB efficient, instant removal spells?
This looks really good to me!

2 mana is really cheap tho.

This is still the best place for high-power-level cube chat & debate.
