1URW Legendary Planeswalker Narset
+1: Gain 2 Life. Add U,R, or W, Spend this mana only to cast a non creature spell.
-2: Draw a card, then you may discard a card. When you discard a non land card this way, Narset of the Ancient Way deals damage equal to that card’s concerted mana cost to target creature or planeswalker.
-6: You get an emblem with “Whenever you cast a non creature spell, this emblem deal 2 damage to any target.”

So the leak was true. I don’t know if this is good enough for a tri color card, but an easily obtainable ultimate is always reviewable. This is certainly a spell slinger card which is normally Izzet but adding white for control to the deck with few creatures is probably okay. Narset plays well with 1 cmc removal like path, bolt, swords to protect her while also upticking to her ultimate. The minus is removal while looting, though you do have to discard a relevant spell sometimes to do so. It’s also of note the discard is a may so you don’t have to discard if you don’t want to. The ultimate to me screams death by a thousand cuts but stapling shock to all spells seems pretty good to me and will most likely get you where you need to go though certainly not winning the game out right. Thoughts?
Seems bad. +1 does nothing to protect it (unless you happen to have a removal spell in hand you can cast with the mana), -2 makes you throw away a relevant card if you want to do removal and can't go to face, and the ultimate probably wins you the game but you don't get there till your 3rd turn.
I am shocked by how bad this card is. Nothing relevant on any mode. No real advantage gained, not on hand nor on board. How can this card be real after the insane two-color Planeswalkers of 2019? I mean, tricolor is HARDER to cast, still I can't remember any worthwile tricolor walker not named Bolas.
Seems like it's defined for big cycling decks in standard. Like, maybe they play the sharknado as a 4-of and don't really care about pitching those to blast stuff? Definitely don't have room for this, though.

I mean... definitely not as bad as the hate it's getting, but not good enough to justify the jeskai narrowness.
Ultimate is powerful and very quick.. and the -2, discard is optional, so if you really want the contents of your hand, or you cant find a way to kill a creature, it at least cycles.
Killing two creatures and looting twice is a solid use of 4 mana too.

This seems like an easy pass.

Though, I agree it's not close for me.
