I run Loam/Crucible cards for value, but not as an archetype w/ Knight/Titania/Gitrog/Etc, so I think this is a miss for me. With a full loam archetype or land-centric combos like Depths and the like, this is probably a slam dunk. But without those things, I think it's a pass.
This card looks pretty good.I mean, it does seek for a Strip Mine at such a low cost. Sure, the land entering the battlefield tapped kind of sucks but this effect is generally pretty good in cube. It also get the engine starting in the Liam/Crucible package. We do run Crop Rotation and Weathered Wayfarer in our cube so this addition is more than welcome. Finding any land here is key.
If I ever go all in with a lands archetype this is probably something I'll look at testing. Neat card but doesn't jive with my current cube environment.
There's a lot of value to having a way to fetch that Cradle/Strip Mine/Library you drafted, but I don't know that there are enough of those lands in cube to expect this to come together in the same deck as one at a higher cube size like 720. He does provide a neat little fixing mechanic, but he's a pretty bad topdeck late in the game unless you've got other ways of loading your graveyard. And he both plays with and against Crucible effects; his tutor becomes card advantage but it becomes tougher to keep him a 3/4.
I'm also inclined to pass, but I think at 720 it's close. I'm hesitant to drop an aggro one-drop like Pelt Collector or Wild Nacatl for this.
Not bad. I treat lands matters as more of a sub-theme, so this doesn’t get there for me. If you’re all in on things like Knight of the Reliquary, I can see this being attractive though. If all I want to do is set up my Strip amine loops, I’d play Crop Rotation first.
A welcome card. And it will probably be a cheap rare, which are my favorites.
This is definitely an archetype specific card, but I like it as a signal card that says "hey, you can try this". Even if you're all in on lands, this doesn't have the kind of payoff that a lot of cards have. By the time it's a 3/4, those stats just aren't all that impressive. But it's still a neat little dweeb.
Just playing fair, the repeatable Crop Rotation is not bad. Getting the best land to fix your mana on turn two is respectable at least. It's not worth it by itself, but it's still not terrible.
This strikes me as a card for me, but not for most.
A solid lands-matters card! Unfortunately the Crop Rotation effect causes the land to enter tapped...

Way too fair for even what lands matter archetypes want to be doing
Two mana for a tapped crop rotation is way too much.
