In this FAQBBB (blah blah blah) he didn't clarify whether X's second ability costing UB# is intended to be usable while it is in its owners hand. From the way it is written on the card, it is.
From the way it is written, you can’t. MaRo has confirmed this as well.

I primarily play limited, so most of my spoiler season comments view cards through that lens.
Messing around with un-cards until I get bored of them...
Ineffible blessing, knight of kitchen sink, masterful ninja and clocknapper.
So far knight of kitchen sink has been as annoying as true-name nemesis. It’s powerful, but not a particularly fun card.
Ineffible blessing has seen no play. Obviously a narrow card, but the a shell with enough tokens hasn’t come up yet.
Clocknapper is busted, but without ways to recur it is only very strong. It’s a good cube card in that sense.
I had it played against me when I had two planeswalkers on the battlefield. Making it noteably worse than a time walk draw 2... but still terrifying.
Masterful ninja was BY FAR my favourite card from my initial testing. It’s aggressively slanted, but I was very happy with it in my BR midrange deck. It’s awsome on turn 1 and it’s awsome on turn 10. Works very well with a lot of disruption as a lone win condition, or as apart of an all-in Agro swarm strategy.
I support a birthing pod strategy (double pod) that masterful ninja was very sweet in. its body is nothing special, but it’s a free 3 drop that can go up the pod chain.

Didn't consider that, but it's a good point. Prob not enough to push pod over the top if you're not running it, but def helps cement a spot if you do choose to run it.
Some more feedback from my additions: Hangman: Still impressed, gets fairly big quite easily and I have found my opponents rarely want to sink their mana into guesses if they only have 1 or 2 letters Clocknapper: Has been doing great as expected; stealing untap, upkeep, draw is a giant tempo swing and if you can abuse that ETB its usually game over. Knight of the Kitchen Sink: Has been really great, solid at most stages in the game as it is and unblockable attacker or an unkillable blocker. More or Less: Niche but I have liked it, I keep finding more little interactions to make it more interesting.

I think it's already at the end of its rope. Card was a real noose-ance. Inevitably, it ended up lying limp in player's sideboards when drafted.

I do plan to swap the very cryptic commands in and out without telling my drafters and see how long it takes to notice.
This has been my favorite spoiler season since I started cubing.

I'm giving Urza, Academy Headmaster a go just for a bit of fun but he hasn't shown up yet.
