So there are a number of cards that could be cubeable, but due to the nature of un-sets they're kind of weird to evaluate in theory. Note this is only to discuss cards you're planning on cubing, not why you're not cubing them for cosmetic/aesthetic/etc reasons. Not that those reasons aren't valid, but they don't do anything but derail these types of threads and it doesn't add anything when you're discussing what you could add. Thanks for understanding!
Cards I'm excited about:
-Summon the Pack: Just based on the many cubetutors random packs I've done and some I've done in person, it seems like most of the time this cards is absurdly awesome. 7B is a real cost, but it's not impossible and this is the kind of result you want for that. It seems like as long as you're hitting a minimum of 4-5 creatures, it's almost always worth it and actually game changing.
-The Grand Calcutron: After initially being lukewarm, I'm now interested to see it in play. Our UW decks aren't always tempo or aggressive, but those decks could easily be UW and could easily splash either part of this being cube. It's pretty brutally oppressive against reactive strategies, Im curious to see how proactive strategies fight against it and how much of a liability it is to run this in a guild slot if that match up is awful.
-Ineffable Blessing: This card seems actually great. It seems like you'll know which one to choose on average during deck building, and then when its in your opening hands or when you draw it you should be able to set up a situation where you draw 2+ cards off it. This is the one I'm most confident about being a great cube card, since cheap green card draw is a hot commodity and this can actually draw you a ton. Like, if you're playing this t2, it's really not out of the question that you could draw 5+ cards off it in a number of matches, which is actually amazing.
-Crow Storm: It's not the best storm card, but it's cheap enough to provide value for spells matters decks, and it might be better than Empty the Warrens which I think is good enough. Being blue is nice too, since you don't have to splash red if your deck ends up being UB. Also, it's a storm of Storm Crows--dreams do come true.
Cards I'm Testing/Aren't As Excited for:
-Hangman: Even with the insane amount of words out there that could be chosen, this could be better in theory than pracitce. If I spend my second turn trying to pump this up and they get one or both, that's not really great in fact quite awful. Also, if they can guess your word and activate it to do so, that kinda sucks. In that regard, it feels more like a midrange than aggro card since I don't really want to spend my first few turns going all in on something my opponent hypothetically could pay 1 to destroy. That being said, it's a 1 drop that can be huge, and there are a lot of words you would never guess and youd have to run through all the letter.
-Earl of Squirrel: It's a sweet card, but a 4/4 for 4GG is kinda rough. If they doomblade it or just have a much better board, it might not matter that you ***** out a bunch of tokens after attacking/blocking. But...you can ***** out a bunch of tokens, and if you have a good attack then you dominate. I don't know how often that will occur, but it will occur a percentage of the time and I'm interested to see what that percentage is.
-Super-Duper Death Ray: A Searing _______ varaint, it kills bigger creatures and has less of a color requirement, but it costs three and isn't guaranteed to hit your opponent. The last point is less important since if you're not hitting your opponent you're killing an X/4 which is great, but not being able to throw all of it at your opponent and costing three is real. I think this could play really well, but I'm ready to be disappointed.
Less Excited:
-Do-It-Yourself Seraph: There are a few cool options, but I think most artifacts I don't really want on a 6 drop creature after it attacks. In a larger cube where there is both more room for white 6 drops and artifacts, this could be alright, but even then I feel like you're making a power concession. That's fine if you want to do it, but I think this is prob significantly worse than the next best white 6, and if it's not that white 6 is significantly worse than the next.
-Watermarket: Even if it worked, it's kind of annoying. Unlike Symbol Status, for which you only check the abstract factors during deckbuilding and when you actually cast it, having to check this every turn is obnoxious, and when it's off that's even worse. You could probably design a cube where this is Ancient Tomb without damage, but that doesn't interest me.
-Extremely Slow Zombie: I got pretty excited about this at first, but there are so many 3 powered creatures in cube that this will prob die a lot. We are at a point where black 2s have a ton of options, and this prob isn't a great one.
I'm interested in Spike, Tournament Grinder since half of cube pretty much consists of banned/restricted cards. More or Less looks it could have some pretty insane applications as well.
Very Excited: Summon the Pack (From my rigorous scientific testing it seems great) Clocknapper (An almost Timewalk on a stick) Masterful Ninja (A shade with uncounterable and flash with a cost of 0 that can be discarded in responce to removal? Sign me up) Knight of the Kitchen Sink (Pretty nuts 2 drop for most decks. It might prove to be too oppressive as some decks just cant kill it)
Hopeful: Super-Duper Death Ray (Interesting burn option for red that hits bigger things than usual and doesn't "waste" damage) The Grand Calcutron (Fun one-of-a-kind effect) Ineffable Blessing (Green card draw with a pretty high ceiling) Hangman (Fun one-of-a-kind effect) Squirrel Dealer (2-power, 2 bodies, 1 mana; Cause who doesn't like squirrels? My only issue is what to cut.)
Maybe: More or Less (Has enough little synergies that it might be worth it) Earl of Squirrel (Interesting 6 drop and payoff for tokens) Over My Dead Bodies (A weird form of mass reanimation, it has enough wrinkles though that it will need some testing)
Longshot: Incite Insight (This one depends entirely on how contraptions turn out) Crow Storm (it feels like it shouldn't be too hard to get 3 birds out of this so its a pretty decent rate with a high ceiling, even at 2 birds its not the worst. I don't support storm but unlike a lot of other storm cards its not as bad outside of a storm shell)
Some cards will no doubt come and go by the time the set comes out, the novelty of some cards is probably something I'm over rating.
Edit: Updated the list, it's gonna need some pruning I'm sure but this set is looking better and better.
Edit: Yea definitely worried there will be too many cards.
The Grand Calcutron Ineffable Blessing
These two seem like slam-dunks to me. I'm very excited to test them, and think they both have potential to become very high picks in my cube.
This is the best set I've seen come out in ages. It's leagues better than Unglued or Unhinged with a decent power level, and a cohesion under the master rules that was lacking before. Out-of-game elements like clucking like a chicken have been diminished, and the set feels "black-bordered with a twist", making it far more ideal for cubing purposes.
Considering: Watermarket (this is after I do some watermark review - I like the idea of this card but am a bit below where I'd like to be for it)
There are other cards I like but that go a bit beyond where I'm comfortable. Calculatron kinda hits this issue but I think the card is interesting enough that I don't care.
Clocknapper joins my additions. This likely means I'm not testing More or Less (I have a soft cap for the number of Un-cards in cube), but I was pretty down on that card anyway.
Any reason for the cap? I mean some of the uncards feel like they could be black boarder but aren't for general power reason. Clocknapper for example doesn't have anything particularly Un about it other than it would become degenerate on older formats, I wouldn't have batted an eyelid at this being in a commander product (well I would for power reason, but not because it's too weird to be black boarder).

I might explain my reasoning for my "soft cap" in detail if it becomes more relevant (that is, if I have to start excluding strong Un-cards because of it). But the short version is, it has to do with the learning curve for new people drafting the cube.
Fair enough. Ill admit im not looking forward to the rules questions either.
Not totally sure how best to abuse it but Better Than One seems like it is basically a much better Doomsday, just as a baseline (plus whatever else you can think up to do with it).
I suppose Better than One does let you win with Laboratory Maniac easily, though.
I don't know how 2HG rules work with this (if you have labman and your teammate decks, do you win?) but maybe?
If the player that controls labman decks, they and their teammates win. If a teammate of the player that controls labman decks, they and their teammates lose. You'd want to give one player labman, and the other player the entirety of the library. I don't cube with Laboratory Maniac, and I'm not going to cube with Better than One, but it is neat.
We have an Un-cube that already has some Lab-man combo potential such as Necro-Impotence to draw your whole deck so we are definitely planning to add this.
Also, I guess Rosewater issued on-the-fly errata so that Half-Squirrel, Half-, and Ordinary Pony don't go infinite. Not sure it was a combo we would have played but that is disappointing considering this is Silver Border..
Pre-orders are going pretty cheap, the joys of bypassing and tournament legalality in any format i guess.
I was pretty pleasantly surprised to notice my who list of cards came in at about £10 including shipping. Probably the best cube set (in terms of playable cards) in my time cubeing.
In this FAQBBB (blah blah blah) he didn't clarify whether X's second ability costing UB# is intended to be usable while it is in its owners hand. From the way it is written on the card, it is.
In this FAQBBB (blah blah blah) he didn't clarify whether X's second ability costing UB# is intended to be usable while it is in its owners hand. From the way it is written on the card, it is.
I don't believe you can. You can't normally activate activated abilities while in the hand unless the card specifically says you can. The only reason you can activate it in your opponent's hand is "As long as X is in X's owner's opponent's hand, X's owner may cast X and activate X's abilities."
So, I have an UN-spiracy module for my cube that includes all the actual “conspiracy” cards, Un set cards, and “draft matters” cards from the two Conspiracy sets. I will not be including any cards of these types in my main cube, as I want that experience to feel serious and less gimicky, butt for when I’m doing a silly draft, this module pops in. Thus far, it has mainly been conspiracy cards with a few fringe Un options. This set will bolster this module significantly and will end up increasing the overall power level of these cards and intensify the goofy aspect which is exactly what I crafted the module to be. My goal is to expand on my module so there will be no cuts to consider. However, I’m capping the Un/Spiracy count on each mono-color to 6. I’m including one card from each of the “guilds” in Unstable as well. If anyone sees a card that they think could be replaced or have any suggestions, I’d love to get feedback. Onto the inclusions!
White: Knight of the Kitchen Sink: Whites TNN! This works well with integrating the Un stuff into an actual cube archetype. This could make actual lists for people who don’t mind silver border. I alter my own cube cards and intend to “full art” alter things like Grafted Wargear and the swords (removing the black-border) to give this guy the ability to shine! That seems in the spirit with Un-sets and with cube pimping!
Rules Lawyer: This thing is just a goofy card our group is going to love. Easy include on a wacky standpoint, not so much power (1/1 with no protection FAILS ANY TEST)
GO TO JAIL: Agreed that the aesthetics are awful, but this actually can hold some power and be a fun dice roll. Imagine the intensity when you flip for a Mana Crypt!
Blue: Clocknapper: Again, if you don’t mind running silver stuff in your main cube, this is something to really consider. This card is broken, flicker (which Is supported in a decent number of cubes) is just GG. Great on power level, flavor, and fun level.
More or Less: I really, really like this card. I think it will be a pet card of mine. I will always draft it and try to make it a blowout. It oozes varsatilty and can be used just about anywhere at any time. The reality is, this card is just fun and not really cube level power. But HOLY HECK, it IS fun.
Blurry Beeble: This is a fun role player in our meta. No one wears glasses, so this is basically a one mana Looter Il-kor. That seems great, and if it encourages people to wear sunglasses or weird eyewear while playing, that just adds to the silly.
Black: Summon the Pack: This is an easy include. Alongside Booster Tutor, this gives the Black Unspiracy color an identity. Plus this type of effect is pretty brutal when using cube packs. My only solid include.
Over My Dead Bodies: This fits the bill for a fun card while also providing some black strategies with a win condition. I’d draft this in B/x reanimator. If you’re dumping fatties, might as well attack while they’re there. This seems good. And also hilarious.
Hangman: A cool, unique effect on a one drop seems great. Fits into an aggressive Black shell along with the next card...
Masterful Ninja: A sweet black aggro card dripping with flavor and silliness.
Red: The Countdown Is at One: I haven’t added any sub-game cards in yet, and I can actually see this getting drafted in a burn style deck just for the group to have the experience of playing a sub-game. It’s either too expensive or too much of s gimmick, but I’ll throw it in because I know it will resolve.
Three-Headed Goblin: Another stupid card to add to the fun. I think it has power potential with a sword or Jitte, heck, ANY buff.. but it’s exspensive in Red. It’s another “know your playgroup” situation. I foresee this being a really nasty card.
Super Duper Death Ray: It’s a reasonable burn spell with a goofy effect and name, so it’ll do.
Green: Ineffable Blessing: This card is huge. A massive draw engine for green, and it BARELY feels “Un”. Flavor text IS a strange thing to care about, but this card breaks about even with non-token creatures in my cube. With tokens it’s bonkers. This will make main cube lists and do tremendous work for this color.
Ol’ Buzzbark: This thing seems really sweet to me. The floor is always fine (assuming x=1 is 90%+ controllable). The crazy comes when someone topdecks this and goes all in on a Buzzbark! Seems like a fun card with an appropriate power level, not to mention versatility (green ramp, R/G stomp, G/R/x anything, really) in a, let’s be honest, uneventful guild.
The Grand Calcutron: Man, this card is fun. And guess what, it’s also powerful. It’s like they were thinking about cube when they made this set. This card is mysterious and dangerous, but it’s cheap and flippin rad so IN YOU GO.
Baron Von Count: So I’m adding one of every guild represented in Unstable, and who better to represent the Legion of Doom better than a card that says “Destrot Target Player”. In cube, bread and butter cards have all these numbers in them (with perhaps “5” being the most difficult). I think this poses a deck building challenge to “find 5”. I really like build around type stuff like this.
Better Than One: Playgroup dependent and, really, better than Mr. Jumblemorph. Not much option here. I do see this being played and it being a blast, though, so I’m not all that down on it.
Phoebe, Head of S.N.E.A.K.: This seemed like the more efficiently costed of the two Dimir options, and also seems like a blast to play. Shang Tsung your opponent’s mana Elves, their Wurmcoil Engine, an Elesh Norn... just so much fun.
The Urza Thing: The old school magic player in me really rebels against this for some reason. It seems abnormal and I hate the way it looks on a card... but if it turns out to be a powerful card, it’s possible I include it and catalog the results in case the site becomes unaccessable. I just.. wish they put like 13 abilities in microscopic text. Market research might not agree, but I bet that would have gone over better.
Sword of Dungeons & Dragons: This is just rad as all heck, and on par with the power level of the current swords. Fingers crossed we see more of these in supplemental sets!
Split Screen: It’s a fun card that will provide some card selection at an expensive price, but I think it will be a card people want to play or see played. So it fits.
I hope this was helpful to anyone interested in building this type of module and if anyone has any feedback or discussion, I’m all ears. Happy cubing and happy holidays!

Definitely, yes:
Hangman
Split Screen
Sword of Dungeons & Dragons (assuming it's not expensive)
I might throw it in:
More or Less
Super-Duper Death Ray
If I open it:
Very Cryptic Command
Summon the Pack
Earl of Squirrel
The Grand Calcutron
Grusilda, Monster Masher
I'm not optimistic:
Do-It-Yourself Seraph
Kindly Cognician
Extremely Slow Zombie
Over my Dead Bodies
The only decent card I'm keeping out on principal is Ineffable Blessing. I just don't really want to make flavor text matter.
Low-power cube enthusiast!
My 1570 card cube (no longer updated)
My 415 Peasant+ Artifact and Enchantment Cube

The other 1:
Who//What//When//Where//Why
Colorless (Really, no good lands?):
Sword of Dungeons & Dragons: This is just rad as all heck, and on par with the power level of the current swords. Fingers crossed we see more of these in supplemental sets!
Split Screen: It’s a fun card that will provide some card selection at an expensive price, but I think it will be a card people want to play or see played. So it fits.
I hope this was helpful to anyone interested in building this type of module and if anyone has any feedback or discussion, I’m all ears. Happy cubing and happy holidays!
