I really don't feel the need to have a walker in each color combo. I would like a Natural Order target in Simic but if Simic Sky Swallower and Sagu Mauler haven't stood the test of time in my cube, I don't know what else would.
I'd like a Vindicate strapped to a 2/1 for 4-5 mana, but that's probably ridiculous.

I think Angel of Sanctions is the closest thing we'll get.
With 2018 around the corner, it's time to send our annual wishlists to the North Pole WotC headquarters on what we want to see next year! I edited the title of the thread from 2017 wishlist to 2018 wishlist, hope you don't mind MikePemulis.
Things that got checked off from last year's list, Jolly Ole Saint Nicol Bolas really delivered for me in Amonkhet and Hour of Devestation.
Black planeswalker / black 5-drop Liliana, Death's Majesty Magus of the Crucible (of Worlds) Ramunap Excataor A new Nicol Bolas that would set the benchmark for tri-colored cards. Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh More modal spells Abrade and Supreme Will Green 6-drop Carnage Tyrant will do for now
Current things I want in 2018:
- Legendary dual lands (preferably in a Return to Kamigawa block)
- Strong utility lands that tap for colorless, particularly a Horizon Canopy Variant or a new manland
- Izzet modal spell that copies spells and / or has a Misdirection effect or a strong spells matters card. Bloodwater Entity was very close...
- A Golgari card that recurs creatures and lands in a Life from the Loam style
- Stronger white / red / black aggro one and two drops is always nice
I know some of these won't happen cause they will be too good for standard, but... It's christmas, a kid can dream.
1)More support for Fastbond/lands style decks.
2)Enough payoff cards to make artifact agro a sub archetype worth supporting.
3)Reality smasher - artifact.
4)WW Glorious Anthem
5)3 mana or less card in Boros that can generate card advantage. IE 1WR OutpostSiege(Khans mode). RW LandTax that can fetch Non basic lands too
6)More cubeable X spells. Walking ballista was perfect.
7)More cubeable flashback spells, or graveyard value payoff cards.
8)1G Instant, Mill 3, Return any permanent from graveyard to hand.
9)More waste mana/eldrazi payoff cards to enable an eldrazi subtheme deck, ideally enough to make eldrazi temple a cubeable card.
10)Another "cheat big creatures into play" cubeable card, preferably in temur colors.
11)Another powerful Simic card, preferably something that works well with fastbond/courser/oracle. Reason//Believe but slightly better?
12)A couple huge payoff cards to support fires of yavimaya style decks.
GR 2/3 All creatures you control have haste, Sacrifice to add 2 colorless mana to your mana pool, that mana may only be spent on creatures. Give that creature haste. Works great with eureka/tooth and nail, but also a solid beatdown creature.
13) An excellent multi purpose red removal spell. Aftermath card Burn//In Hell
Burn -1R Sorcery Deal 2 damage to target creature or planeswalker
In Hell 2R - Sorcery Deal 4 damage to target creature or planeswalker, if that creature would die this turn, exile it.
14) Another 2 mana spells matter payoff card. Preferably for 1R. Playable in Red agro with lots of burn. Excellent in UR with cantrips/counters + burn.
A 5th staple fixing cycle (Legendary Duals/Snow Duals).
All great, although with only three cards per guild, I can't imagine how good the Orzhov hybrid would have to be to crack that section in my cube. For larger cubes, it would awesome.
This was on my list a few years ago, but I feel like we have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to red control now. Two Chandras, Fiery Confluence, Sweltering Suns, Subterranean Tremors, etc.
I feel like World Queller is the closest thing we'll ever see to Smokestack / Braids ever again. Even if something does pop up, it's definitely going to say non-land if it's 4-cmc or less. Still, doesn't mean we can't hope; don't let your dreams be memes.
I really want a new target for a big red archetype I've been working on. A 7+ cmc red artifact creature would be the absolute dream. Also a new 4 cmc white wrath with some additional clause to replace Day of Judgment since it bugs me running it alongside the "strictly better" Wrath of God. Counting on you, Commander 2018.
And keep those red 1 drops coming, still haven't pushed Jackal Pup out yet.
I'm still looking for a blue 5 to go with Mulldrifter, which isn't really a 5. Meloku feels so outclassed these days. Controversial opinion, I know.
Enemy Talismans would be great.
Another big artifact, maybe not even a creature, for fun. Something fun like Mindslaver but bigger.
A red land worth playing. Hanweir Battlements and Vance's Blasting Cannons didn't quite get there.
A black creature with lifelink that isn't Nighthawk or Liliana.
New options in Selesenya, Orhov, Golgari, Izzet, and Boros, which have been stagnant in small cubes for some time. Make us make hard choices, like many of us have in Azorius and Dimir recently.
Stretch time: some variant of Collapsing Plane, a custom card in Adam's kyoob that slots nicely into the Purphoros decks. Basically some upgrade to Goblin Bombardment, which I love, but wish were a little more exciting.
Some black 4 mana noncreature spell to replace my Nether Void proxy. I'm not in love with the card, although it's very good at the one thing it does. Maybe a 4 mana walker, like black gets its Mind Sculptor / Torch of Defiance variant?
A 4-5 mana black token maker. Some version of Pia and Kiran / Whirler Rogue or Angel of Invention / Siege-Gang Commander would be lovely.
Legendary dual lands in an EDH product or something.

It seems like there are generally two camps: Meloku still absurd; Meloku is outclassed. I fall into the latter, but I can understand that--considering us as people can only play so many games--that it can play like it's absurd.
I’ll add a few to the wishlist that others may or may not have not mentioned:
DEAR SANTA,
I’ve been a good boy this year. Please bring for me:
• A white 4 that fits really well in token decks AND Moat decks.
• A fantastic blue 5-drop creature.
• A Golgari hybrid 2 power 1-drop. (Think Odious Trow with an extra power!)
• A rainbow type fixer land that ETB untapped that’s good for aggro. Needs to be better than Aether Hub.
I can really relate to this one. I wonder if WoTC are self aware that all of their combat tricks see NO play in general constructed 60 card decks. I look forward to the day that a combat trick would be a viable choice in a midrange style deck. Makes me wonder what the floor is for a card like this to be playable.
Would Giant growth with draw a card stapled onto it be good enough for cube? Or would it still be terrible considering it can be blown out to instant speed removal?
All the ones that are fringe playable are either 0-mana or are capable of generating situational card advantage. So a cantripping one would probably be the route we need to go in order to get that effect into the cube, yes.
I'd like a Vindicate strapped to a 2/1 for 4-5 mana, but that's probably ridiculous.
Cheers,
