Tendencies, Useless Ramblings and Facts (TURF)

• Undisputed Champion - Library of Alexandria has been the #1 land card in the Power Rankings every year, but this is the first time the vote was unanimous. The vote was very nearly unanimous for Strip Mine at #2, with only 2 members voting for it as their #3 choice.
• Greatest Rise - Ancient Tomb moved from #19 in last year's Power Rankings to #11.
• Rookie of the Year - None. All cards have been in print since last year's Power Rankings.
• Better Late Than Never - Mishra's Workshop and the Pain Lands are cracking the list for the first time this year despite having been in print since the 1990's.
• The More Things Change, the More They Stay the Same - Library of Alexandria, Strip Mine, Mana Confluence, ABU Duals, Mishra's Factory, Mutavault, Shock Lands, Horizon Canopy, and Gemstone Mine. In fact, other than City of Ass, which is no longer being voted on in this category, and Ancient Tomb, no card moved more than 2 spots from its spot in last year's Power Rankings.
• Just Missed - Dust Bowl (1.26) and Undiscovered Paradise (1.00) didn't quite make the cut this year.
• 37 cards received votes this year.

Nice to have the spreadsheet, but could you still add the score after each card? I think it would be nice to see it straight here.

Thanks for pointing that out, I just fixed it.

I think colorless producing lands got some boost due to "Colorless Mana" -matters cards from Oath of the Gatewatch. That being said, Ancient Tomb was too low to begin with. But Painlands I voted especially due to the fact that they are tri-lands if you need colorless mana in your deck.

Agreed, Wizards has been pretty conservative about creating new mana-fixing lands lately, so I'm not surprised to see that much of a shift outside of C-producing lands getting a bit of a boost. We'll probably see a lot more new lands getting voted on in the Enemy Guild section, where the best fixing for cubes we've seen since the last Power Rankings gets voted on.
