I don't cube it, but it seems to me that Ghostly Flicker with one of the targets being the Arcane Savant and the other being anything with an ETB trigger seems beyond bonkers
I think my cube runs enough busted stuff to make this creature nuts without having to include stuff like Cruel Ultimatum. This + Geddon, Cataclysm, Wheel of Fortune, Demonic Tutor, Time Spiral, even Wraths will be really good. Also, it's stapled to the most abusable card type in cube so the potential for shenanigans is just nuts. I'll be slamming this into my cube but it probably won't make me make any other changes to support it.
Seasons Past is a great idea. I'm searching Gatherer for 7+ mana targets. Some really interesting stuff, mostly unplayable otherwise. But things that seem interesting: Boom // Bust, In Garruk's Wake, Part the Waterveil. Also this makes me want to play Gush.
Wraths kill the card, and most wraths cost less, so I can't see the benefit of that.

Busted cards like this are why I love supplemental sets. This card is limited only to ones creativity. There are obvious choices like geddon or Demonic Tutor but spells like Upheaval is where this guy gets really interesting. I can't wait to see what my playgroup comes up with. Great cube card and the first slam include of this set imho.
The only downside is that you have to leave the spell in your sideboard. So a deck that really wants Armageddon might prefer that over Arcamageddon Savant. Not an issue with more expensive cards like Upheaval or Cruel Ultimatum, with which Savant seems brokenly good even in a powered cube. Btw. he's a bit better with Catastrophe than Armageddon, two options are better than one even if the destroy-creatures mode kills himself.
Another thought: this card ought to be cheap, too, since it's not useful outside of draft. I can't wait to pay $.25 and five mana for a 3/3 that does some super dumb busted stuff when it enters.

This card really shines in cube. The option to splash completely off-colored stuff is just nuts.
However, I don't see the point in adding any otherwise unplayable or extremely borderline stuff to the cube just for this. There are already more than enough useful cards in everyone's lists.
I think that's a testament to the power level of the card; you could just be casting a Doom Blade or Divination and you'd already have a strong cube card. With access to what cubes already play, it's a P1P1. With a little bit of building around, it might be the most powerful thing you can do in the format.
This is a pretty easy include, but one thing I'm curious about: Will the instant or sorcery you cast with this go to your graveyard after you cast it with this guy? Getting to recast Flashback cards with this would make this even better.

This guy looks fantastic and fun, but it's worth remembering that whatever card you exile with it is a card you don't get to play. So strapping a Time Walk to it is maybe a little silly. I mean, wouldn't you just rather cast the Time Walk for 1U most of the time?
For big expensive spells and off-color spells, however, this dude is the bees knees.
Edit: Does anyone know how this works with Rebound? (e.g. Consuming Vapors?) Double edit: Never mind, it says "cast from hand" pretty clearly.
How about this + Decree of Pain? Decree was a card in cubes for a long time. Very playable at it's cycling cost (so not a narrow combo card), but uttering broken off the back of this new guy. It's Wrath of God and draw a card for each dude you just wrathed for 5 mana.
This card is great, and at the same time, really, really elegantly designed. Unlike some conspiracies, you don't need extra bookkeeping (e.g. pen and paper) for this.
It's like a wish with built it also casts the spell for you. Worth testing.
Already mentioned I think but this goes infinite with a few cards. Momentary Blink for example. Add in something like Purphoros, God of the Forge or Outpost Siege and it just wins the game on resolution (barring immediate instant speed answer). Also works with a reanimation spell (of the non-self damage variety) and goblin bombardment, et all (which is even harder to interrupt since creature removal doesn't stop it). And you don't even have to combo with it to get way more than 3UU worth from simply a value play (dude plus Fact or Fiction for 5 sounds perfectly fine). Never mind the color pie abuse here. GU value deck packing fiery confluence on it's 5 drop with zero red mana sources. Sounds good.
I'm thinking Arcane Savant is going to be it's own archetype. This card is beyond broken.
This card is ridiculous. If you support the "draft matters" cards draft, it's pretty much an auto-include.
Fixed that for you.
When I tried some of the Conspiracy 1 draft matters cards in my Cube, my playgroup weren't big fans. I'm going to give it another shot but those cards are certainly not for every group.
But yeah, I agree with the thread consensus that this cards is bananas <3
I can't help but think the most common use for this card is to splash an off-color bomb card you couldn't normally run but which would be a snap include if you could. So again, you are building a UG deck for example and it has this dude in it and then you see a Vindicate.
And if the blink archetype has fallen by the wayside in your cube, I suspect it's about to make a comeback.
The possibilities with this card are endless. And it requires absolutely no effort to draft around too. Couple it with literally anything that costs 2 or more and it's worth 5 mana. Hell, this plus doom blade is essentially Shriekmaw (a stone cold staple). And I can't imagine that would be the ceiling with your pile of 45 cards.
Every blue deck in existence is going to run this card unless it's curve stops at 4 (what blue deck is that?).
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this is the best blue creature in cube. It's that good. Maybe in the end I'll have egg on my face (ala Priest of the Blood Rite), but I don't think so.

Arcane Savant isn't even a draft-matters card. It could have said "exile a card from your sideboard" if they weren't worried about it being unbalanced in Legacy/Vintage.

Yup. And the chosen card can be different on a game to game basis. No writing card names down because the chosen card starts the game visible to all players in exile.
Other ideas: Crush of Tentacles, Mind's Desire, Time Spiral, and Tooth and Nail.

Bribery, Plow Under and Tooth and Nail are other cards that we have in our cube that are pretty good with him. Even with Spectral Procession he makes a very decent Cloudgoat Ranger Impression.
