The issue I see with it is that I'd have to draft multiple lands that I "might" want in my main-deck but include this card instead in order to draw them. I guess it might be handy if you're concerned about missing land drops, but at that point you should probably be less greedy with your mana base.
The scenario I can think of is if I put in multiple double colored casting costs in my maindeck and my land support is sorta spotty. (ie, some stuff with GG and some stuff with whatever else, like WW or something) Since I won't know what land I'll be short on I could use Living Wish to pull in the missing drop so I could cast the card the next turn. I feel like that's too slow, in my powered environment you'd get run over.
I have played the wishes in cube before, and their playability is driven by how you make the cards work. If all it tutors from is your unused draft pile, they're pretty mediocre. But I've seen people play them where they can grab cards from the entire undrafted remainder of the cube, and they're pretty great that way.
Yeah I am not a fan if this grabs from your SB. That means you either have good cards that you aren't running maindeck or mediocre cards that would be low-value wish targets - seems lose-lose. I guess it could hit some silver bullet things like Stomphowler, but then the Living Wish should probably just be the Stomphowler.

I was thinking that would be way to OP. I do have Booster Tutor (using 15 cards from the unused pile) and people really enjoy playing that card, so it wouldn't be a bad idea. Logistically it would be a nightmate though, finding a creature or land in 180-360 leftover pile can take quite a long time Still thinking about this but thanks for the advice

This was something I was thinking about today as well.
I been looking for a black cut today and I noticed I had way too many black 2 drops and Vampire Hexmage has been getting worse and worse and really doesn't play with in a lands deck.
I'm reluctant to cut Dark Depths combo right now. I'm thinking one way to keep to combo is to add Living Wish where the drafter can grab Dark Depths or Thespian Stage or any undrafted card from their pile or any basic land.

I was thinking about this card when I was on the toilet.
I was wondering if anyone tried this in cube and how it played...
Would there be other Wishes you'd also consider?
