Nimble Mongoose is worse in cube than constructed, no question about that.
Could it still be playable though? I couldn't find much discussion about it.

Potential an include for a green tempo build over the commonly included cards Scythe Leopard / Wolfbitten Captive / Mutagenic Growth. What do you think?

I think all of those other cards are much, much better. You can't guarantee threshold in cube and without this is seriously underpowered. I'd need an enormous cube before I'd consider this.

I was thinking it could find a home in the URx tempo / spells matter Delver decks that my playgroup likes to force. They often splash white for Seeker of the Way, Monastery Mentor and removal.
However green could be another splash color with cards like this (Nimble Mongoose), Tarmogoyf, Managorger Hydra.

In the end you are probably right. The card may only be playable in that deck.

this is not the card you want it to be; w/o a million fetches and cantrips, this is effectively a 1/1 shroud until you get to a point where a 3/3 shroud is unimportant.

Threshold is just too unreliable in this format, and this card sadly just isn't good here.
