There is no draft format I've enjoyed more than triple lorwyn, sure you were tribe locked for the most part, but each tribe had a unique and interesting draft strategy.
Chandra, torch of defiance is overrated but still amazing. It's not the number one red card or even a red mindsculptor but it's a great red card.
For multicolor decks that are built around specific effects, this can be a nice one to have floating around in the deck. It can be an extra copy of your Tinker, Show and Tell, Natural Order, or whatever, and give you a way to play extra copies of your critical effects. Being unable to hit artifacts and enchantments was a drag for me though, since cards like Sneak Attack, Recurring Nightmare and Oath of Druids are cards I really want to be able to fetch. So ultimately, it just proved too narrow given its mana restriction and target restrictions combined together.
never tested bring to light. it always seems like a tempting card because of the cast for free text but i think its a bit of a trap. seems too unreliable and inefficient.
best present I got was a team canada volleyball jersey that belonged to one of my old teammates who played in the Rio Olympics!
He's so expensive to cast, but he's got solid abilities throughout. If you want a PW in every color, it's either him or Vraska, and Vraska's -3 is better, but her +1 is much worse. I run Vraska, because I feel she offers more overall value at the mana cost, though I've thought about swapping big Garruk in.
I don't even know which one I would call my favorite, because if one is on, I'll just watch it. I love 80s movies. But I'll go with Die Hard, since it's Christmas.
Garruk is cool and is tough to beat when he lands, but landing him can be tough. I like him in heavy green builds that splash black, though I don't think I'd run him in my own cube unless it got bigger.
I don't run evil Garruk and my cube would have to get much bigger before I did. Shame, too, since it's a sweet card.
Favorite 80s action movie is tough. I'm not much for action flicks. Maybe Riki-Oh or the animated GI Joe movie?

It's a shame black on black is illegible through a sleeve. Harry's always performed under expectations and didn't really save his controller from death when played, what all the other giant planeswalkers do... it's a shame because I love the character and the trope.
I played this card for a long time and it was one of the only 7 drops that I saw people consistently lose after they played as it didn't do a great job of catching up on the board from behind when you finally got to 7 mana. Seems very powerful but still anticlimactic when played.
Die Hard is a classic but my pick has to be Aliens. Such a beautiful and scary badass movie. Runners up are Big Trouble in Little China and The Thing if that counts as an action movie.
Garruk is strong, but it should be. It's a 7-mana gold card. Worse than the other big 'walkers by a wide margin, and I never felt the need to play him when I have Karn, Ugin and even Nicol Bolas at my disposal.
Aliens is my favorite movie, so that takes it. But The Terminator is also a classic.
I like Evil Garruk and all but even in a multipayer cube he is a bit of a disappointment. He's been in/out of the cube pretty much from the beginning but once again he's on the sidelines and were looking to trim the cube back down to 540 which probably seals his fate as a bench warmer.
I will say, the art makes Garruk look even more bad ass than normal....a plus
Movies....Terminator, Die Hard, Alien are all easily top 10 probably top 5 even, but Beverly Hills Cop has a special place for me as my favorite. GI Joe animated is probably second then the first three I listed in some order

I was really close to saying Big Trouble in Little China as well. That movie is nuts. It's one of those classically 80s movies where it begins pretty normal, but then gets more and more absurd as the movie progresses.
I tried big bad Garruk in my cube for a while, and it was great in the decks it was played in. Unfortunately, since there really isn't any way to cheat a planeswalker into play those decks were green ramp decks that also played black, which makes it too narrow for a 7-drop. Plus, Golgari is such a stacked guild that it's not hard to find cards to take its place that will see main deck play in a lot more drafts.
The '80s was a great decade for action movies, I love all of the action movies mentioned, but Terminator is one of my all-time favorite movies period, so it's a slam dunk in this category.

450 card Peasant cube thread. Draft it here.
Putrid Imp is pretty awful. Even worse, this is the *only* black one-drop in the vintage cube. It blows my mind how you can run Braids and not run one drops like Gravecrawler or Blood-soaked Champion.
As a pure discard outlet, probably Heir to Falkenrath since it's a one-and-done, though I like it still in aggressive black builds. If you only need one discard, he's your man, but I find that pretty underwhelming in decks trying to play out of the GY heavily.
I've run Putrid Imp years ago, he was still bad then. Does too little without synergy. There are many games when he has literally 0 impact. Of course he is still playable in reanimator decks as you will play all you can get and he is cheap. No other deck will touch it.
I'd draft Unhinged, but it's stupid expensive.
