My favorite cards are ones that create their own mini-games. Fact of Fiction is one of those rare cards that's both powerful, and entertaining for every FoF is a different from the last. Instant speed, splashable, digs deep, and fuels the graveyard, there is absolutely nothing not to love about this card.
Fact or Fiction is great. Hasn't yet been cast in my young cube yet. I grabbed the Commander 2015 version I had laying around, but I've got the original coming. I'm a sucker for Hanna.

Fact or Fiction is a stone cold staple. A couple of my favorite cube memories come from this card. Once I had a friend flip all lands to it. It was especially memorable because it was very late in the game and he had spent a good portion of this game trying to catch up and find answers. The odds that he'd pull all lands were slim, but obviously possible. Of course, I gave them the 0/5 split as his options. Another time, after several drinks, someone cast FoF against my cousin. He says, 'Fact or Fiction?' like you do when you cast a spell and expect a 'Sure' or some other form of approval in response. My inebriated cousin instead just says, 'Fiction.' I'm honestly not sure why we all found it so amusing, but still to this day, that's the normal response to someone announcing FoF as a question when casting it.
As to the best version, I think there both Invasion foil and Conspiracy foil are acceptable options. I'm partial to Invasion just because I like the old frames and I'm nostalgic for those characters. The Jace art is also pretty sweet, imo, and I would fault someone for choosing that option instead. I'm currently running an FNM promo. I'd rather have the original foil, but the promo was the foil my friend had and donated to us plus it's signed by Terese Nielsen, so it has that going for it.
Gain confidence by playing with Bob! Not for every deck, but rad as **** when he works.
-Do you play Bob? @ What size?
-Best Bob flip story if you have one?
-What's your darkest, most confidential secret? Or do you prefer cats or dogs? MUST ANSWER ONE
EoTFoFLOLYL. That's "end of turn Fact or Fiction laugh out loud you lose." Such a good card. I run FoF and Steam Augury at 450, because they're the two best. I suppose Gifts Ungiven is similar enough as well to include. I'm a sucker for the old timey frame, and the art with Hanna and Squee is my favorite version of the art, because the more recent arts just don't do it as much for me. I like how they're looking through pages of information trying to determine what's real or not, compared to the Jace offering two things in his hands. I get it, but it's not the same.
As for Bob, I sadly only have the MM version with Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg, rather than Bob Maher. Bob also has one of the best flavor texts of all time. DC is a must include for any cube that wants to sniff at suicide black, or just wants to start moving into a power type cube. I've won games losing less than 3 life with him out, and won games because my opponents flipped every one of their expensive cards. Kinda random, but he's so good.
Dogs >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> cats. What's the point of being a pet when you could have a pet instead.
Bob is definitely a staple and is one of the best 2-drop creatures, him and Pack Rat are the best 2-drop creatures in black by far. I love the tension Bob brings to both yourself and your opponent and I consider him quite a high pick.
Bad beats stories? Revealing Greater Gargadon in a game I had no business losing.
Dogs >>>>> cats, but they are very high maintenance in comparison.
Missed FoF day, sad times. One of my favorite cube cards.
But so is Dark Confidant! The card that puts me into aggressive black decks more than any other card out there.
Best Bob story? Either my opponent flipping Greater Gargadon and killing them from 10 out, or the time I was at 1 life w/ a Bob down on a stalemated board. I dodged like 6 reveals in a row and naturally drew my outs to win.
I prefer dogs to cats, but they are a lot more work.
Difference between cats and dogs is that humans choose their dog pet and the dog just goes along with that. Cats choose their human even if you intended something different. A relationship with a cat is earned and sometimes completely outside your control.
I had a close friend of mine pass away recently. He was a dog guy his whole life and then a few months ago a stray cat showed up in his backyard and he started feeding it. And then it came into his house and slept with him on his bed. He couldn't get rid of it. Not sure that completely converted him to a cat person, but it changed his perspective a lot. He had a new found appreciation.
Some people get to have that experience with a cat, some don't. Cats can be loyal like dogs but it's just totally different.
FoF is awesome. Bob is awesome. Not much more to say on either.
That's kind of what I like about cats, that when one gives me attention I feel like it's something truly special. Not like dogs aren't great, I love them!, but there is something about a cat crawling onto your lap and rubbing itself against you that's different.
I like both dogs and cats, but I like doing dog stuff with my dog like walking. We went to pick huckleberries yesterday and my dog just lay down and ate them right off the bushes.
I don't have a Dark Confidant but would play one in a second if I did. It's in the next few sets of upgrades.

I run Bob. I'm not certain mono-Black aggro is effective in a powered environment without him. Bob is so good I find myself trying to wedge him into decks when I really shouldn't. So good.
A friend once claimed that Dark Confidant was bad in cube because you can't streamline your decks as much as you could in constructed.
After one game with DC, I said to him: He drew me 6 extra cards and that much card advantage won me the game despite taking 17 damage in the process. (And I only took that much damage because I got really unlucky with how my draws stacked, revealing only 3+ drops with DC, while drawing lands and cheap spells naturally.)
His response: Yeah, but you you lost 17 life from that one card, so it is pretty bad (in cube).
Bottom line: Don't be scared of losing some life if it wins you the game. This card is great!
As for the last question: I think I am more of a cat person in theory, while more of a dog person in practice? I never owned either though. The big plus for cats is that they can be potty trained and that they are less dependent on you.
Best Bob story? Either my opponent flipping Greater Gargadon and killing them from 10 out, or the time I was at 1 life w/ a Bob down on a stalemated board. I dodged like 6 reveals in a row and naturally drew my outs to win.
My cat judges me even when I don't make Magic blunders. I can play flawless Magic and it won't matter. The fact that I left her alone in the house for 4 hours to go to a friends for FNM, that is enough of a reason to judge.
People say cats are more self-sufficient, but not all cats are that way. Some get attached like a dog. I've had cats my whole life (and dogs when I lived at my parents), and this current cat I have is the neediest creature I've personally seen.
Some cats are like that ex that act like they're all independent and better than you but while you were dating she was having you pay for everything even the ***** you agreed to split but now that you're split she claims that you split all the bills and that she paid for your sorry ass and that you would've been nothing without her and there's no hint of irony or kidding in her voice.
Others just want to be fed and get behind their ears rubbed.
Bob's a great and iconic cube card and probably the most likely first pick to lead me to black aggro. Probably my best Bob story involved me casting Bob with 6 life left then tapping out to play Winter Orb while my opponent was also tapped out. Bob drew me a land every turn for 4 turns while I naturally drew into removal spells and creatures that cost exactly 2 each turn. I learned a bunch of new Korean swear words from my opponent that game. 😃
It looks like I'm in the minority here, but I absolutely love cats. I have two tabby cats that I can't get enough of. They're very loving but low-maintenance pets.

I'll pretty much play Bob in any (most) deck. If I can get some kinda blue top deck manipulation (Ponder, Preordain etc) going or Top, sure, but either way, I am drawing cards! I like Brimaz and I like Isamaru equally.
Bob is great. Run him if you've got him. There is one guy in my group that seems to always get killed by his own Confidant. We joke about it. I badly want to get mine altered with Grima Wormtongue whispering into Theoden's ear.
I like cats more than dogs. I like dogs a lot, but I just don't want such an involved pet (says the man in the process of setting up a coral reef tank).
At first I had no respect for Kessig Wolf Run but the more I've played with it the more I've gained. It's a great card, much better in practice than on paper. Sometimes you need to force damage through, and Kessig Wolf Run is a great way to do this either as a mana sink or by just giving your creature trample.
Do you play it? At what size? If not why? And what size would you consider it?
I feel like KWR is one of the best nonbasic lands that doesn't tap for colored mana. I'm running it at 450, and I might even run it at 360. Having that effect at instant speed is sweet and late in the game it turns 1/1 dudes into game ending threats. I'm pretty sure every GR deck you can build is better with this card in the final 40.
Didn't test particularly well for us. It's a fine card, but tapping for C is a big drawback (especially for a land with an otherwise multicolor alignment), especially in the kinds of decks where it shines. I think the Gruul competition is too steep.
