Ash Barrens is a solid card, I have no experience with it in cube but I have enjoyed it in other formats. I haven't got round to buying one yet for cube, are they still annoyingly pricy for a common?
Untapped mana when you need it, 1 to grab a basic if you need fixing. It is especially handy since you can find a land and play it untapped and that can be a life saver when I have the mana but not the colours.
Cycling it has all the usual synergies with lands in the yard, I do think Terramorphic Expanse or Evolving Wilds are better for yard recursion fun but Ash Barrens still generates some ok value.
Soul-Scar Mage is a useful one drop with a unique ability, but there are more aggressive options. Its Prowess ability does help with that, though, and can lead to blowouts in combat.
He seems good, I have had Bloodlust Inciter for a while but he hasn't been the 1 drop I was hoping for. Soul-Scar Mage is likly the next card I will try. Turning my burn into -1/-1 counters seems amazing, especially for red who usually has issues once something is above 4 toughness.
Prowess has been solid but nothing mind blowing, I think the main problem is there are only a few creatures with it so it sin't too hard for you opponent to play round, unlike in constructed where you can essentially pump your whole team off a spell.
It's OK, but I don't think it's going to survive the upcoming reorganization of my cube.
Prowess is OK. It's a nice added bonus, but the lack of combat tricks in cube means it's unlikely to be earthshaking. It seems best in red due to instant-speed burn. It is fun to drop a Sword, equip, and swing with a prowess creature though.
Soul-Scar Mage is one of the few cards really integral for my M15-border cube. It's fine in mono-red and R/G, but it really shines in the spells-matter deck. I can't see cutting this soon, it's one of the premiere red creatures.
Prowess is fine, but I find myself triggering it less often than I'd like. I think I might need to scrounge up some more cantrips or bolt effects in U/R.
Still haven't tried him because there are like 10 dudes that look at least as strong in the same slot, but I probably should, if only for the words Human and Prowess on a creature that cheap.
I like playing the Wildfire deck, but I have had basically no success with it in my cube, haha. I don't believe my experiences are indicative of Wildfire's power, however, because it can be really good at putting a game out of your opponent's reach.
Have you ever volunteered for a Fire Crew? What was it like?
Legion's Landing is one of those cards I would want to test if I owned one, but I don't want to test it enough to actually go out of my way to get one. I've heard it's good, but I have no experience with it myself.
Which plane would you most like to see a detailed map of?
I tried Landing, and it never really did anything. I mean, I can see the best-case scenarios of Landing into Raise the Alarm into T3 Ajani Goldmane -1, but it was usually just a Trained Caracal that late in e game covered for a missed land drop. I dropped it out again for a Human for cube themes, which I think are more relevant.
Whenever Search for Azcanta rolls out of Standard, it's probably going to be the first and only of the DFC lands I keep a spot for.
I think Ravnica could have the most interesting maps, since its core conceit seems difficult with actual geogrqphy.
Daredevil is one of the newest playable red two drops. It's decent on curve in an aggro deck, as well as later if you can get a 2(or more)-for-1 out of it. I haven't had a chance to play much since RIX, however, so I don't have much experience with it even though I added it shortly after the prerelease. How has it played for you guys?
M19 looks like it has some good red two drops. Do you plan on trying any of them? Which ones?
Rofellos can generate a lot of mana very quickly, but he is very vulnerable to removal. Is there a commonly-run removal spell that doesn't kill this guy (besides Cast Down)?
What's the most non-infinite amount of mana you've ever spent in one turn?

I work for the fire department. But I've never done wildland firefighting.

Dismissive Pyromancer has been solid for me in testing, and I'll be playing that creature from M19 in my 540 list.

Guy's a freaking tank.
