I've had every single mana-producing land in my deck + Rofellos + other elves in play. That being said, even in Rofellos decks Emrakul is not castable, you either need channel or a way to cheat it out. The only way I'd include it in a super-ramp deck would be if I had Survival so I could use it in that regard, since Surivial of the Fittest + Shuffledrazi is really strong as any creatures that end up in your GY can instantly be searched.
yeah, cool idea, but to expensive to activate since it takes 6 mana just to break even. maybe if it cost 3 mana, doubled your mana and then gave you a dark ritual effect on top, interesting design space though. maybe this year wizards will come up with some interesting mana rock ideas. Probably not though, they seem to only print new ones in standard at least which cost to much to put into play in the first place.
It seems like you need a lot of mana before it does anything useful:
mana in = mana out
3 = 0
4 = 2
5 = 4
6 = 6
7 = 8
8 = 10
10 = 16
I mean it's not even a Sol Ring until you hit 8 mana, I guess it can fix your mana if you really need double colours but its at a pretty poor rate. It reminds me a bit of Cabal Coffers in terms of being a strong effects with a high barrier to entry.
I've liked huntmaster more than most. Both sides are pretty good, and if you can recur him you tend to get a lot of value. He suffers from being multicolored more so than anything else.
'new' is relative, but Rebecca Guay's Path to Exile is stunning.
Huntmaster is my #1 card in RG. Just keep flipping it, and let the triggered abilities pull you ahead. Plus, even if it dies before you can transform, you still get a 2/2, +2 life, and eat a removal from your opponent. Just a very good card.
Huntmaster seems solid but I haven't played with it.
I prefer the original art, mainly because the ravager side. Something looks off proportion for the new Ravager, I think its the arms but in general it feels a bit less menacing. The Huntmaster sides are both pretty good; I like that the new one includes her wolf buddy but she looks less grizzled than the older art, some of that could be the art style though.
I generally settle on original arts for older cards as reprints are too often CG or more homogenized, but some promos can be very nice. I like my full art foil Wrath of God and Day of Judgement as well as Guay's Path to Exile a lot.
going to add huntmaster now that i can get a foil version for cheap. i think i prefer the old art but magali is no slouch either and i also enjoy the new art.
I like the new Control Magic arts more than the original, but having been playing Magic since 97 that old art is just so iconic to me. I'd run a beta copy over any of the newer options.

Funny you say that. I had the new Terese Nielsen Control Magic in there for awhile because I like her art, but it didn’t feel right. Same with a few others, like the new Balance.
I recently decided that I’m going with all unfoiled original set/art now for my whole cube, and for ABU I’ve been getting the Collector’s Edition. The CED Control Magic looks awesome and has that great nostalgic feel to it!!
Inkwell is good, but I don't currently run it. I like most of my fatties to double as sneak/show options, and it's definitely the worst there in my experience. But, it's still very good. I'll probably re-include it at some point.
I used to fish when I was younger, but I was horrible at it so I didn't stick with it. You'd be surprised how much more to it there is than just throwing your line in.
Inkwell's a fine creature to reanimate, tinker out, or put into play with Show and Tell. Its generally not the best option for any of those, but its good enough to include so those players have a creature in case their #1 choices get picked/not opened.
Most importantly, Ponder is the only card that can see a 4th card for 1 mana. When you're digging for outs in a volatile singleton format, that can very often be critical.
Doubling Cube
What's the highest amount of non-infinite mana you've seen someone reach in a cube game? Just how castable is Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, anyway?

I was really happy to get the promo Mana Confluence. The expedition frame is terrible, but the art is a huge upgrade.

My favorite new art reprint is easily Spectral Procession. I hate the original art with the three puffs of smoke that you can barely make out.

Do you fish? If so, what's the biggest fish you've ever caught?

I slightly prefer Ponder in this format, but it's close.
