Top 3:
1)Joraga Treespeaker
2)Birds of Paradise
3)Noble Heirarch
In drafting I will certainly choose the Bird first as it will give me more options, but if I am heavy in green or I already have enough fixing I will choose Treespeaker.
I just bought a Dark version for my cube, I had been running the Ravnica version for a while, but always wanted the OG emo elf chick art. Personally, I love G/B combinations, and I tend to pick junk, golgari, and jund when I draft, though not always.
One mana dork that I have particular love for, but don't run in cube is Skyshroud elf. 2 cmc kinda sucks, but it filters naya colors so well that many times playing Mayael EDH I've Worldly Tutor'd it on turn 1.
I run all the above mana elves. I agree Deep Shadow is the worst of the bunch, but frankly I do not see them print any new mana elves soon.
I dunno; we are going back to Dominaria, home of the original Llanowar Elves. If anywhere it feels like would be here, if elves are "too strong for standard" in multiples they could maybe a push it as a legendary 2/1.
Let's turn this discussion over...to Jace, Vryn's Prodigy!
Questions:
-Do you run flip cards? Isn't it such a pain in the ass when they're double sleeved? If you don't have problems getting them in and out double sleeved, what's your secret? Because I usually just pass it to someone else to re-insert lol
-Which Jace is your favorite and why?
-Are you currently learning to do anything, like taking a specific class for a certification or going to school or etc?
I like flip jace. I think the easiest thing is to have 2 copies and keep 1 in a different colored sleeve with the tokens facing the other direction.
In terms of learning things, i just started school again full time which is forcing me to study 14 -16 hours a day right now. So yes, i think i am learning, but it is all jumbled up in my head right now since it is such a fast paced program
Jace, Vryn's Prodigy is a stellar Magic card. Good enough for every cube of any size.
I run flip cards, and my cube is double sleeved. But it isn't even remotely close to a problem. You just take the card out, flip it over, and flip it back when you're done. It's not difficult at all.
What sleeves do you use? I always find that I'm on the verge of bending something when I try to jam them in there. Like, it's a *snug* fit, and I'm always afraid I'm going to bend something especially when it's expensive like Jace is. (I get that comparatively Jace is cheaper than, like, a mox, but I don't really want to cube and walk away $27 poorer lol)
Is it possible to double sleeve, using a transparent inner sleeve? Would that solve the issue?
Yeah that's exactly what it is, I just never experience the smooth transition like everyone else. My brother, whose cube is double sleeved, has no problem with it but for some reason it feels really awkward for me. This is almost certainly my fault more so vs the sleeves not working lol
This is probably the coolest Jace, and I'd be delighted to play with it if I had one. But unless the price magically drops, I doubt I'll ever own a copy. Even if it dropped in value by half, it wouldn't be the top card on my wishlist.
Flip cards are done very simply in my cube: I use penny sleeves, and the backsides are naked for all to see. You can use slight of hand to conceal the card under other cards in the pack if you like, but the open information has really never proven to be a problem. In game, we usually use a proxy.
I do run transform cards, 15 of them in fact (not counting things like Gisela and Hanweir Garrison that have no possible way to meld). Baby Jace is probably the strongest one, though I'm partial to Huntmaster of the Fells for sheer value. My solution to transform cards is pretty simple; I've got two copies of each one, with the second set in different sleeves so you can simply swap them in and out of play as needed. It's not the most budget-conscious solution, but these are cube cards, the best of the best; I don't mind acquiring a second copy of each.
I don't have a favorite Jace, but I do have a least favorite Jace: Jace, Memory Adept. It's one of only a few cards I've removed from my cube for being simply unfun. Winning or losing in a 40-card format because of a PW that ate a player's remaining deck in two chomps is very unsatisfying.
Not currently in school and not really planning to go back any time soon.
Still have to add this, it's quite powerful and supports reanimator and other GY shenanigans.
-Do you run flip cards? Isn't it such a pain in the ass when they're double sleeved? If you don't have problems getting them in and out double sleeved, what's your secret? Because I usually just pass it to someone else to re-insert lol
I have duplicates of all the flip cards in clear sleeves. I keep them with the tokens. I also have some amount of Pack Rats to use as tokens.
-Which Jace is your favorite and why?
Jace AoT. It's not the obviously OP Mindsculptor, but has a good mix of different abilities and respectable manacost
-Are you currently learning to do anything, like taking a specific class for a certification or going to school or etc?
Still waiting for my starter from Prof. Oak, to finally become a pokemon master
I believe WoTC's new policy is to make sure that every color can enjoy the exciting gameplay mechanic of making undercosted dudes and then turning them sideways. Clearly the future of magic.

I've only slowly added planeswalkers in limited numbers as my playgroup is very casual and haven't ever played with them. JVP is the MVP though, and I plan on adding him when I increase the number of walkers. Currently running 21 in a 510 card cube.
I'm moving and starting a PhD in the fall, so maybe I will finally get to play with someone who really knows the ins and outs.
JVP is the MVP! That card does so much for so little mana, it still kinda blows me away that they'd print a 2-mana planeswalker and a 1-mana planeswalker. It protects itself, it gives card advantage, and its ultimate ends the game, and that's after letting you loot cards away in the early game.
As for DFC's, I've never had a problem with letting people just pull it out of the sleeve and flipping it over. Like wtwlf, I also double sleeve with KMC Hypermats & Perfect Fits, and the fit isn't too snug to make flipping easy.
As for Elves of Deep Shadow, if the art weren't so cool, I really wouldn't be tempted to run it at all, since there are so many other options that don't require life loss. I'm already not running Avacyn's Pilgrim, Boreal Druid, or Wild Growth, all of which would go in before goth girl.
My favorite mana dork is probably Radha, Heir to Keld, since I have an EDH deck with her at the helm.
Also, I'm loving different people jumping in to do these! We have a pretty great community here and while I have endless praise for Spike Rogue's dedication to make this thread what it is, it's pretty cool seeing people happy to jump in too and hope it continues.
Me too! I'm happy to see this thread not only continuing, but evolving.
-Are you currently learning to do anything, like taking a specific class for a certification or going to school or etc?
I'm currently studying for the LSAT, and hoping to score high enough to get me into a decent law school.

I dunno; we are going back to Dominaria, home of the original Llanowar Elves. If anywhere it feels like would be here, if elves are "too strong for standard" in multiples they could maybe a push it as a legendary 2/1.
I hope they wouldn't just reprint Llanowar Elves. But the card you are proposing is sweet.
Jace, Vryn's Prodigy is a very strong card that was underrated for a short while after it came out but now everyone understands its power.
I study Computer Engineering, I am at my third year.
I have never tried Devastation, but I play at 450 so Wildfire doesn't need more help beyond Burning and Destructive Force, both of which keep your Titans alive. If I went to 540 or higher id probably play Devastation to keep the redundancy up because I really love the wildfire archetype.
I prefer Jokulhaups, though this is a cool card. I haven't tried it, but it might be a cool backup of sorts in planeswalker-heavy wildfire-style decks.
I do like current art, there's a lot of cool stuff, but the older more-fantasy-like arts are my favorites. Couldn't put a finger on what exactly I like about it, it's most likely that nostalgic-glow that comes with reminiscing.
I always preferred obliterate because it is uncounterable.
I love the art between mirrodin and the original innistrad blocks. The current art is so devoid of any style, the CG really sucks, and the characters are way too smug.
Jokulhaups is my choice (and is a rockstar in my cube). I wish there were more of this effect available. Seven mana is stretching it, and Obliterate always seemed too expensive to be worth it.
Here's my timeline. The best looking cards are from around Legends and The Dark. The best blend of art and theme is in Mirage block, and Tempest block to a lesser extent. The late nineties and early 2000s see an increase in artistic consistency, and a decrease in general art quality which continues for some time. There is a bit of a stylistic resurgence, particularly with Shadowmoor block. Then around M10, we shift towards the heavily rendered fantasy realism that is now the norm. This style is unimpeachable at one level, but is over-homogeneous, and becomes quickly boring. It is certainly my opinion that Magic needs more artists like Quinton Hoover, Anson Maddocks, and DiTerlizzi. Honestly, I'm trying to be nice, but I've been salty for years about art conformity. Nevertheless, we mustn't forget that the early days were filled with a lot of goofy, boring, and non-informative art alongside the fabulous.
I like Jokulhaups most out of the non-Wildfire/BoX 6+cc sweepers. Keeping the cost low makes it easier to break symmetry. It's more of an Upheaval kind of effect than a Wildfire one though, because blowing up all your own artifact mana proved to be a pretty big liability in those kinds of decks. But the reliance on my XC/5 creatures surviving (and the 7th mana) hurt cards like Destructive Force and Devastation too much.
I love the Mirage/Tempest/Urza block era(s) the most. I appreciate some of the realism in the new arts, but I long for a return to both traditional mediums and classic fantasy art.
I never tried this, but I feel 7 mana is too slow for the effect.
We already have this in Catastrophe and Wildfire (s) at 6.
It's not my favorite, but Fylgia art made me play tbe game and Mirage art made me continue.
Today's art seems better as a collective whole, which kinda serves its purpose. They serve more like illustrations that art. (No offense to the artists - they are still beautiful)
Once in a while I would like to have different atyled art, not just on promos, but sometimes in sets as well. Will they stick out like a sore thumb? Maybe. Some will definitely hate that.
-What is your favorite kill spell in cube?
-Is there any memory you have that always evokes strong feelings from you?
-What's the most scared you've ever been?
Shriekmaw is great. It is a sorcery speed kill spell when you need it (all be it a worse terror) and if you have the extra mana you get an evasive body attached to it. Comparing it to Nekrataal; you have a kill spell only option for 2 less mana and for 1 more mana you get a (in my eyes) a much more efficient body, both modes are also easier to splash. Compared to Bone Shredder; it has a much stronger body for a lesser cost (5 for Shriekmaw, 6 to cast an echo Bone Shredder) and its cheaper in kill-spell mode on its way to the graveyard (2 for Shriekmaw, 3 for Bone Shredder).
Shriekmaw will find it's way into most black decks I draft. It is probably the best 5 mana creature in black.
-What is your favorite kill spell in cube? Swords to Plowshares
-Is there any memory you have that always evokes strong feelings from you? Nothing springs to mind, I have a bad habit of fixating on small things from the past. University had some fun times though and my first time at Bloodstock was great.
-What's the most scared you've ever been? I haven't ever really been scared for my life. I recently sent an invoice to the wrong person in work, felt like the bottom fell out of the world. I didn't have that job too much longer (for apparently unrelated, but vague, reasons).
In drafting I will certainly choose the Bird first as it will give me more options, but if I am heavy in green or I already have enough fixing I will choose Treespeaker.
Next 3 would be: the clones: Llanowar Elves, Fyndhorn Elves and Elvish Mystic.
7) Avacyn's Pilgrim
8) Boreal Druid
9) Elves of Deep Shadow.
I like deep shadow the least simply because of the life loss.
One mana dork that I have particular love for, but don't run in cube is Skyshroud elf. 2 cmc kinda sucks, but it filters naya colors so well that many times playing Mayael EDH I've Worldly Tutor'd it on turn 1.
