We run it. It's not a favorite since it is slow, but the colorless is good.
It will probably leave my cube one day when I have a better replacement for it.
The blue Char (or rather, the original char), Blast certainly feels off from a design standpoint, but removal is removal especially for blue.
-Do you run Psionic Blast? At what size?
-Are you more inclined to run it with a tempo package? Why or why not?
-What do you have ablast doing outside of magic? This is prob a repeat question, but answer anyways!!!
I no longer run Psi Blast at 540, but I wouldn't fault anyone who did run it at that size. I don't know that you need a "tempo package" to run it. It's fine any basically any blue deck, even if it is better in something like UW flyers or similar.
Trying to think of things I have a blast doing outside of Magic is surprisingly hard. I don't know if that's sad or not. Random list of things I enjoy: (non-Magic) game nights with friends, beer (belgian white variants are preferred), comic books, watching movies/TV series, meat lovers pizza, podcasts, audio books, rum & coke (zero), chicken tenders, and most importantly cheddar jack Cheez-Its.
1. I'm not currently running Psionic Blast, but I likely will when I go up to 450. It's a unique effect in blue that maybe got less valuable since Imprisoned in the Moon, but it still seems great in lots of blue decks, especially . . .
2. . . . in the tempo decks. You can sort of view it as a counterspell for planeswalkers and big creatures that also happens to be able to finish off your opponent, rather than being able to counter all card types.
3. What do I like doing outside of Magic? Bicycling. I ride a fixed-gear around town all the time and love it. I really like baseball. I like craft beer, though less than I used to. But my true passion is teaching. I'm just going into my second year, teaching in a small town in west Montana. Love the kids and love teaching them English. I'm also teaching philosophy this year, and in a school of 390 kids, I had 36 of them beating down my door to take the class. I just got back from speaking at a conference that the Gates Foundation backs, and it was pretty sweet to be invited to go to that sort of thing after just one year of experience.

I run Psionic Blast. Blue removal of this variety is exceedingly rare. I've been on both sides of the color pie argument. I currently don't care about breaking color pie, but I understand those who are not fans.
I am more inclined to run Psionic Blast if I'm pushing blue tempo because it's a good card in that archetype. This is not a great control card because doing 2 damage to yourself is not always something you can afford to take as control. As tempo, you generally care less about your life total.
I like Psionic Blast, if it's good enough in red it's good enough in blue AFAIC. If anything, the fact that it's colorshifted makes it stronger because of the element of surprise that comes with getting burnt out by a Simic deck.
I love drafting and playing tempo decks, but I'm not sure I support a tempo package per se. Most tempo decks are aggro decks in white, red, or black with blue counters and bounce for support, but Psionic Blast is always great in those decks.

I run Psionic Blast at 540, it's a versatile blue spell and I like to push UR Counterburn / Tempo.
I was totally going to ask the "what are your passions outside Magic" question, lol. I play a lot of music: I'm a bass player, studied at Berklee College of Music, lived in NYC for 3 years and played all over the tri-state area before moving back to Chicago for family reasons. My most valuable item is my bass guitar that I had custom built for me, years of researching tone woods, electronics, and acoustic properties went into that bass. I'm still playing a bit in Chicago, but my focus right now is starting my own music apparel company.
By the way, if you or somebody you know is a graphic designer, please hit me up!
I do not currently run Psionic Blast. While it's certainly a good card, it's not really a blue card.
Outside of Magic, I love books. I keep donating boxes of books and yet I still have "too many," at least to fit on my bookshelves. I've also become a fan of cooking and baking and wish I had a little more time to learn to be better at both.
I run Psionic Blast, as blue wants removals for creatures and planeswalkers. It is not great however for control, probably 80% of our blue decks, so I'd not be surprised if it would get cut rather soon.
Psionic Blast is a good card, since it's a rare effect for blue. But we don't currently run it. Burn is so much better in multiples, as both the reach and removal aspects stack so well with each other.
Probably a card mostly on the outs but I randomly see it in lists here and there.
-Do you run Reckless charge? Did you? Why don't you?
-In which archetypes does Reckless Charge best perform?
-What's the most reckless thing you've ever done?
I don't currently run Reckless Charge in either of my cubes, but I'd rank it some where in my top ten 1-drops for red non-creatures. It's a solid aggro card, but I don't think it's really needed for aggro to perform well.
I'm not really a reckless guy, but I did once get pulled over by a game warden for speeding, reckless driving, and running a stop sign. I knew the sign was up ahead, noticed it too late, blew threw it, hopped over into the ditch, and then corrected myself in time to see the blue lights. This wasn't a T intersection, but more of a y, with me coming up from the short side onto the long side of the letter y. Also, keep in mind this is the back roads of Tennessee. Of course I was around 16/17 at the time and had a female acquaintance in the truck with me. The game warden game me a whole speech about the dangers of driving reckless and how I could have had to explain myself to this girl's parents were the coroner to have to pick her up after a tragic accident. Remember this guy was a game warden. Being as naive as I was, I asked him if I was getting a ticket or going to jail and he was honest enough to let me know that he could do neither under his jurisdiction, but he could hold me until the proper authorities arrived. He then cut me loose and followed me all the way to her house where I received a polite good night and nothing further. Real fun night.
It's a solid aggro card, but I don't think it's really needed for aggro to perform well.
This. Reckless Charge is great for pushing damage through, especially since we have more evasive threats these days. It's a fun card that can work well with Prowess / Spells Matters, it'd be nice if Reckless Charge gave trample. Great card, but unnecessary for the archetype that it supports.
I like Reckless Charge more than most, but I run less equipment so friendly aura's/spell effects play a more important role in aggressive strategies here. Charge is sweet with double strike guys in particular, and granting something haste for just R is very often relevant. Getting a second use means even a 2 for 1 isn't really a full 2 for 1. All around great card.
EDIT: And late in the game, you can cast this twice and give something +6/+0. Essentially a red Might of Oaks lite in that scenario.
This seems like an unreliable form of reach, so I've never tried it in either of my cubes. Burn and equipment seem like more reliable ways for aggro decks to push through additional damage. In my Peasant cube I run Haze of Rage as a repeatable anthem effect, which has really performed nicely in aggro decks there.
I'm loving the added discussion questions Salmo and Steveman have been adding, but this is one I'd rather not discuss on the internet. Suffice it to say I've done a lot of dumb things in my life and I consider myself lucky to be free and alive.

I've never run Reckless Charge. I'm not a huge fan of pump spells. I imagine it's fine in a bigger cube or pauper.

I run it, but I include it more because I support RG fires in my cube. If I didn't push it so much, I would probably give it something else.
I would like it better if it were an instant though.
I am not reckless myself though.
I did open a chess game though once with C4
I have had an eye on reckless charge but I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet because my group aren't big on agro and I already have enough creatures and burn so I don't feel I really need this.
Not terribly reckless in general but I did do too much acid at a big festival once, then got separated from my friend and lost my mind in a fairly public setting.
Psi blast pushes the colour wheel a bit too much for my taste, just not an effect I particularly want in blue.
I run the disk though, it's fairly solid, a slow wrath for any colour. It being an artifact can be a bonous aswell if you have deretti etc.
A recent one, but a goodie. While it can be fragile, it's also easy to 'go off' i.e. make an army in a can.
-Do you run Monastery Mentor? At what size cube?
-Are you more inclined to run a spells-matter package with MM, or is it good enough on its own to not merit that?
-What's the best lesson you ever learned?
If I could get a cheap one I would definitely be running him. I run a few spells matters cards and am always excited to add another. The prowess on the tokens seems especially sweet because they stay relivent even if the mentor dies.
Best lesson I've learnt? A positive mental attitude makes everything a little bit easier, the more you grumble about something the worse it seems.
Monastery Mentor goes into more decks than I initially thought it would. Prowess isn't hard to proc and honestly it only really needs to activate once to break even; it gets a lot of value in the right deck when played early. I can't envisage cutting it at this point.
I do. I put it in my 485 card's cube one year ago because I got a cheap one for my cube, and it inspired one pf the most fun archtypes in my cube - Spells Matter.
-Are you more inclined to run a spells-matter package with MM, or is it good enough on its own to not merit that
I run it in most White Aggro/Control decks, but I sometimes splash it in U/R All Spells deck.
-What's the best lesson you ever learned?
Love of other people may come and go, but one must always loves himself or herself.
